Thanks a lot, Adam. I always look up to you. You explain everything so clearly... Keep producing your lessons, expecially for writing skills. Look forward to watching them. GOD bless you all the way Aaamiiin3x....
Hello sir : I used to be a math teacher long time ago, you teach like a teacher and like a student both of them : you see your students better than others : thank you so much for your wonderful teaching : valod from Glendale Ca
Every time I watch your videos, I just feel so connected with you as you take my full concentration. Thank you for being there. Lots of love from Bangladesh.
@@rishikkeshsuresh3692 My score was a 1070. Honestly not the best at all😭 But I would say that the video still helped. I only started studying a month before the exam, so I believe that if I gave myself more time and did a lot more practice questions I would’ve done better. Butttt, the grammar section of my test was the strongest (again this video helped).
A great clarification sir .I am glad that I have watched your video.I have been trying to get clarified on this lesson for a long time.I used to wonder and make myself fall in a messy a lot about whether I am supposed to use is or are with such words like none, neither, either and so on Thanks a ton sir ☺️😊 eventually I am blissed as I got clarified
Sir i am an english teacher in india, despite being that i watch ur lessons ... Please make a video on prepostions.......... Please sir..... I m a big fan of urs
Great video. i think, for the first example, the reason we would say (is). Is because although there are three objects, they are single items. If you make it, chairs, table, and a TV. We would say, (are). The English logic is that if you make any part of the sentence plural, we will say {are). if all is singular, no matter the number of individual items, then we say (is).
Practical as ever👌 This area , as you've already mentioned Mr. Adam, might be a source of confusion for many English learners( even advanced ones ). Talking about that, I've got one question, please: ●When it comes to the quantifier♡ALL♡, wouldn't be possible to use a singular verb with it??? For instance, if we say: ▪All coffee has been drunk.▪ Or ▪ All furniture is sold in this shop.▪ I mean can't we use a non-count noun after ALL and then follow it by a singular verb??? Thanks in advance ❤
James Taylor song, Fire and Rain, says in one part “ there's hours of time on the telephone line to talk about things to cone” Now I can figure that out, thanks a lot!
adam sir i started watching ur videos since 3-4 days.....i have become a fan of yours...can u pls make a video on how we identify each and every parts of speech from a sentence....pls pls pls sir make a video on this....my humble rqst......
Good morning! Excellent explanation! One question, please. If I speak THERE IS NO...can I use words in plural after that? For example: There’s NO people or whatever...? Thank you in advance!
You must use the plural conjugation of “to be” if the subject is plural. Ex. There are no people here. However, even with native speakers, it is common to use “There’s no people here.” when talking fast or using slang, however, it is incorrect, and someone might correct you.
Sir thank you very much. Now the concept is clearer than my previous thought and observations about it. I am a subscriber of your channel. Your teaching is really good. I am from India. With regards... Sam.
Thank you sir. I really improved my English due to your videos. Being a Muslim you are my virtual teacher. May God give you health, wealth and happiness. Ameen
Thank you for this! Now I feel more confident with my writing because I do get trouble sometimes with is and are when the subject comes later in the sentence. I’m confused about what should I properly use 😬
Can a table and a chair be considered one object, not two separate objects, so that using "is" instead of "are" would be correct? What if I consider two different things (a table and a chair in our example) one thing or a combination of two things?
