- ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Justice League x RWBY Part 2 clip from the upcoming second installment in the DC and Rooster Teeth crossover. The film will be available digitally on Tuesday, October 17 and on Blu-ray and 4K UHD on Tuesday, October 31.
"On the heels of successfully escaping a deadly digital trap, the members of the Justice League emerge in their own world to discover that Grimm, ravenous creatures from Remnant, have overtaken Earth," reads the movie's synopsis. "In order to defeat the monsters, they must call on their new friends - Team RWBY - for help!" - บันเทิง
I like how Weiss always seems to be the "just there" friend whenever her team mates have a problem with one another.
She's now the team mom!
Shes the "whats that supposed to mean" friend
Now that I think about it, it was a pretty common trend for Weiss in all of volume 9. Ruby was struggling, and Bumblebee was becoming canon. Weiss was 'just there'.
That used to be Yang’s job.
@@persona7545 Weiss became comic relief in a world where having sense is wrong, BeeS comes from nowhere and they lie themselves into a toxic relationship that drives a sister into suicide thanks to the neglect...
Yeah.. I'm sticking to V9 as just a nightmare where the only thing that makes sense is that nothing makes sense and should NOT be considered canon.
Okay, am I the only one who felt their heart skip a beat when that door slammed?
This scene shows WBY is really making sure Ruby’s okay. I’m curious as to what Ruby’s arc will be like here since this seems to be post her V9 depression.
I know Weiss probably had major anxiety, considering the home she came from.
Yang has become more overprotective than usual.
@@Cheetahcat-1128 Probably because she regrets what happened in V8-V9. So angry that everything went wrong that she questioned Ruby's leadership and planning, which shook her. And So caught up with trying to find a way home and her relationship with Blake, she forgot what should've came first. (Ruby was also in the wrong by bottling up her pain while also sitting around and expecting people to notice. Which is just as bad. Plus every time they tried to talk to her, something stops them. I believe she was also envious of Blake and Yang being a couple because, to her, it's like life was mocking her over Penny's death)
Plus, Ruby almost "ascended" and probably could've turned into something worse than before. Yang may be overprotective and she has every right to be. As much as Yang wants Ruby to grow up, she has to always be there for her family no matter what. Yang's stepmother died and her real mother abandoned her and her father. She'll be damned if anything happens to Ruby.
No, you're not. I'm shaking a little from Yang's anger when she slammed the door. I know Ruby's trying to keep her emotions in check, but she can't keep bottling them up forever. She's gotta tell them what she's seen in the Great Tree...and about Summer's secret with Raven. I'm more worried about how Yang would take it.
@@Cheetahcat-1128 Well like she says Ruby has been acting a lot more reckless then usual, and yeah this is post V9 and now she's kind of going into the other extreme. Instead of being depressed and down she's way to reckless and eager to fight. They do explain what's going on in the movie, and actually she did ascend in V9 she just choose to return as herself. Like they explain you choose who and what you become when you return. I still say Ruby just needed that little breather to vent
Oh snap, Ruby def still has issues to work through.

@@isaaclee8671 Doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful. Ruby's not Supergirl.
This seems like it takes place right after RWBY volume 9, with Ruby more determined to save Remnant and Yang more protective of her sister. Makes me wonder how this adventure with the justice league will affect team RWBY for volume 10.
Yang Can not Protect Ruby Rose for Everything
My guess is that the crossover and the main show is going to be 2 separate universes
@@overheavenbason Give it up Ruby standing out of her own pure instinct and we can't change that, it's her choice no one else.
Yep
So the JL crossover movies are canon to the show or these take place in an alternate universe that’s just extremely smiliar to the show?
Looks like Ruby went from one end of the spectrum in volume 9, to the other
So she went from _intentionally_ suicidal to _unintentionally_ suicidal…
That’s another sad truth to life: Sometimes, fixing a problem means turning it into a NEW problem, and you can only hope this new one is a lesser evil in comparison while you continue sorting things out.
Considering this isn’t Volume 10, but just some fun thing off to the side (at least in my opinion) I don’t think it matters much.

Big sis Yang has entered the room
I like how Ruby is more confident a little cocky, meanwhile her team are worried about her.
True as yang is becoming way more protective of her sister
@@Cheetahcat-1128After seeing Ruby commit “spiritual suicide” in the Ever After following the death of Little and being beaten, both physically and emotionally by illusions of Ozpin, Lionheart, Ironwood, Clover, Torchwick, Pyrrha and Penny, can you blame Yang for being worried about her sister?
@@tedgruver7618 guess your right as yang is fulfilling her duty as a big sister
When you watch this the sneak peek from the crossover with Ruby unlocking her superpower hits different and shows that Yang has a point. In a way Ruby kinda gives me Barry Allen vibes from season 2 episode 20ish after he gets out of the speedforce and gets his powers back, he becomes overconfident thinking, the speedforce is on our side, there is nothing that can stop us. I also think this is more like Ruby being free, without shakles of trying to be like her mother. Also Ruby and Yang need to have a talk about Summer dissapearing with Raven.
But how long can she hold it in until the time is right? And how will Yang react about the mention of her estranged mother who is currently a Spring Maiden and could still be on the run in Remnant?
Give it up and accept it Ruby standing out of her own pure instinct and she'll do everything she can to protect her friend's and family and the people of all Remnant, and I know it's hard but it's her own choice no one else, we need to face reality and make our own future.
Feels like a concerned parent trying to talk there kid out of a dangerous profession, ruby is definitely being to over confident and neglecting her own safety but inevitably some of that comes with the huntsman life. I think Yang and Blake being together has opened yangs mind to a life of more than just crazy adventures, but of settling down and thoughts of her life in the far future, and Yang is seemingly trying call out Ruby for not thinking past “huntress till I die” type of mindset.
I don’t think that this is really confidence on Ruby’s part I think she’s throwing herself at the problem without concern for herself. She doesn’t want to put anyone else at risk so she’s trying to take the quickest path on her own so no one else will get hurt, not caring if she comes out of it alive or not.
Give it up she's standing out of pure instinct.
This reminds me of Clara in the Doctor Who episode "Face the Raven" spoilers but after her boyfriends death she became incredibly reckless and threw herself into her adventures with the Doctor, to the point she started doing stupid stuff because the doctor would do it she ended up killing herself and their was no way the Doctor could save her.
I really like this, Yang after volume 9 remembers that she has to be there for Rwby more. And sure Ruby might be on a healing path, but she's too eager to bring peace back. I'm happy she's back, but like they said her decisions are dangerous. And this time her team is aware and want to be there for her
This really highlights character growth in RWBY. Because Smashing right through things used to be Yang's thing. Now she's warning Ruby of the same thing.
0:15 Door jumpscare.
Ok, *now* I'm hooked. I was worried that they'd make Ruby act like she learned nothing from V9, but after this?... Yeah, I'm sold.
I hope we get something similar in V10
Hey! Ruby HAS learned everything from V9, she's just become a little more overconfident somehow. But She still cares about the future for Remnant, and the world!
Wasn't ruby confident before the start of vol 7?
@@andrewsung3965 She was, but everything happened all at once (Salem, Ironwood, Penny) and Yang was lost in her fantasy world with Blake, so now she's overprotective out of a fear of losing Ruby again. But now Ruby has let go of the expectations of trying to live up to the image of her mother and it's a huge relief for her, but I'm sure she still has her trauma, that doesn't just vanish; she's just found herself.
@@andrewalker6050 true, as long as her overconfidence remains in check.
@@andrewsung3965 She was confident in her abilities in a fight, but she was generally pretty shy and had her fair share of self doubt in regards to her ability to make the right call. Which is why she tended to blindly follow those saw as having authority over her until the truth about Ozpin was revealed. She was pretty out of her element when she had to be more assertive and act with more agency. The real problem she seems to have now is that her new found confidence, combined with her lack of concern for her own well being is a dangerous combination. Ruby still doesn't get that you can't save anyone, if you don't save yourself.
Ruby needs therapy.
Though Yang uhhh kinda has reckless self sacrificial tendencies herself.
Indeed.
No, Ruby needs to slow down.
But at least Yang is being reckless to prove herself like Penny did.
Ruby seems like she doesn't care what happens to herself, like she's trying to cover her pain again, just in a different way.
More like she's getting a little more overconfident. She needs to slow down.

@@isaaclee8671 I don't think of it as a waste. I'm saying she needs to be careful and more vigilant. Expect the unexpected. A good leader knows when to back off and when to take charge. Penny was reckless at the end of V8 and look where that got her. She lost her life and that accursed Relic.
@@kidprime6863 Penny life are not in vain and you already know that.
@@isaaclee8671 Yes it was. They told her to go through the damn portal but she didn't listen. Her insecurities, self-doubt, naivete and failures clouded her judgment. She jeopardized everything and fell right into Cinder's trap. And now Salem is two steps ahead of her goal. It was basically "Hey Cinder, I got the Relic and Maiden powers! Come kill me and take them!". Let Cinder have the power. She can't posses all 4 Maiden powers, she'll self-destruct or go bat-shit. Either way, Cinder dies. If Penny really wanted to help, she could've just threw the Relic into the portal when no one was looking. Otherwise, I would've knocked Penny out with a gut punch and said "Sorry, Penny. But I'm not going to let your clouded judgment get you killed. You'll understand someday." Before throwing her and the Relic into the portal. Hell, I would've also destroyed the Relic.
When yang slammed that door i got jumps scared like something bout to go down
I guess Blake , Yang , Weiss Need Talk to Ruby and After All They are ones took her support and mental health for granted and burdened their leader with too much responsibility
I think Ruby didn't come back out as the her from Volume 8. She's very much like Volume 2 Ruby. It's like she's regained the spunk and gusto the deaths of Pyhrra and Penny caused her to lose.
She's optimistically hunting Grimm, knowing she can only do this much to help others. Until they can formulate a way to stop Salem, shes content with what she CAN do
And that's exactly what pisses Yang off. She doesn't want to go through losing her sister again.
Not like yang cared though until now. Only took seeing Ruby literally kill herself to get that.
@@wholesome_masochist4113- keep saying things like that and it might just become believable. Yang has raised Ruby until their father could get his mind together and even then they aren’t attached to the hip.
She went to find and confront her mother so she can use her power to find uncle Qrow, she broke through the Apathy spell the moment she heard her scream, was their to help her process the incident with the hound. She’s not perfect and she probably believed that Ruby would always be strong enough to bounce back but didn’t realize how much she was hurting until she exploded(rightfully). Yang will be there for Ruby but she won’t be perfect but will protect her no matter what.
@@justynhill4814 That's because in volume 8 in particular, it is very much true. Make like a soulsborne player and deal with it. That said, that's more of a writing problem than anything else. Especially since nobody bar Jaune (as occupied as he was) and little ever tries to actually help her in the slightest. The moment that Ruby choked on filling those hope jars should've been a crimson flag for Yang. We never really _see_ Yang being an older sister on screen, not really. When Ruby needs someone to lean on, where's yang? Absolutely nowhere to be found except conjoined to Blake's hip. Or being a little too busy seeling out ironwood or bitching about mantle despite having no alternatives to present.
@@wholesome_masochist4113- expect volume 8 has her trying comfort Ruby after her shocking revelation of the hound and letting her know that hope wasn’t a weakness or a problem. She was mad that their actions caused problems for both cities and she wanted the direct approach to dealing with this and not just waiting for help.
Leader or not, remember Yang is still the older one
It's nice seeing Yang remember that she has family and not just being tied to the hip with a bad friend who kept her from being there to help her family when it was needed the most.
Now it takes place somewhere in the present beginning of Volume 10 perhaps? Since Ruby wants to save remnant and Yang talking about the future?
Okay.....
but since this is a different canon or timeline, this scene would be a lot different
At first, I assumed that WBY became overprotective of Ruby after she committed suicide in front of them due to ignoring her feelings, now it seems their paranoia is doubled by her growing overconfidence. So this movie will also her have learning to simmer down for their sake. Above all else, I want Vol 10 to be WAY less bleak and the girls trying to make it up to her to the point of sharing one bed together.
On a side note, about time the Sulfur Fish got recognised. They were totally useless in 8 despite being contest winners.
One of Ruby's biggest problems regardless of how confident or good she feels about herself, is a lack of concern for her own safety. She isn't reckless with other peoples lives, but she has always had a penchant for taking insane risks with her own. She very much has a big whoop if I die, if it saves some one else, attitude.
It doesn't really click to her that if she dies she won't be able to save anyone else.
What scared me is when she said, “as long as we save remnant, what else is there?” I really hope that isn’t foreshadowing for something.
@@TeamTowers1Give it up she's standing out of pure instinct and we can not change that.
Ironic how Yang is acting more protective of Ruby after all that had happened. To think this is the same wreckless and hot tempered Yang who was super gung-ho back at the beginning of the RWBY series.

Wait is this second part of the JL x Rwby take place after season 9 after they got back from Ever After? I hope this doesn't mean if we do get a season 10 we miss out of a reuniting scene with the group.
While I'm glad Ruby has managed to take hold of herself. She definitely needs to look at things differently as even though she can only do what she can to contentment, it can be done without charging into the next conflict without a plan. This shows why this will come up again when they go to the DC universe to help the Justice League.
It feels like Ruby is trying to prove something...like she has her mother's chip on her shoulder
The fun fact of ruby is that she keeps pushing herself way more than before. Because I’m getting the feeling she senses or seen something potential it’s like she’s going to her limit. And atop of that she knows the circumstances of any event that she’s prepared for and her friends see her like she’s insane like a madman. But in the same time is like her natural instincts are speaking to her.
Same goes to Optimus Prime or goku from DBS.
She's standing out of her own pure instinct, she wants to protect her friend's her instinct are telling her fight and protect those she's loved.
I think the justice league will teach team rwby and ruby rose herself mature lessons how the dc universe is filled with morailty, heroism, life choices, and overcoming tribulations and trauma to move and overcome of saving innoncents for the future.
What happened to the video Blake and doors
It was on TH-cam earlier but it is no longer there
Yang, there is no future. There's only the past and the present.
I never seen RWBY but it's cool to see the justice league interacting with fantasy anime characters. I like how Ruby and Superman learn from each other and have a lot of chemistry yet they keep it respectful and platonic instead of making it a ship thing.
RWBY is a pretty slippery slope. And normally has a toxic as hell fanbase. It started off amazing, but then the creator died due to an allergic reaction to dust in heart surgery if I remember correctly, and then the quality of the show started dropping off. Granted I do respect them for carrying on as much as they have since that's GOAT'd material right there. But the series really went downhill once the writers got bullied by shippers way too much and rolled with that. It got so bad where Ruby's teammates didn't even bother to notice her building up to mental breakdowns left right and center that she held in for several seasons because they were too busy playing romance (Yang and Blake especially) to notice the traumatized leader figure they look up to having more as much mental trauma as Spiderman. Honestly this scene right here is a return to form we haven't seen in almost a decade in terms of dynamic.
Yang is being hypocritical I get she cares about rwby and doesn’t want her to be overconfident but yang always charges into danger with out thinking or a plan not to mention she hasn’t been a good sis during vol 6-9 and was very neglectful to ruby in vol 9 which was one of the reasons she wanted to ascend and to be honest this ruby is overconfident sure but is in a better state
Neglectful? She tried to talk to Ruby but every time she tried, the next disaster/plot point happens and has to take care of it. However, Yang was also caught up in trying to find a way home, she failed to realize what should've came first. Ruby was in the wrong, too. She shouldn't have hid her pain and sat around expecting people to notice. That's just as wrong.

But I blame that on bad writing. Then again, if they did catch her or put her in a recovery position, that would've put a pinch in the lesson Ruby was supposed to learn, apparently.
Furthermore, Ruby shouldn't have sat around, bottling up her pain and expected people to notice. Never ever do that. That's just as wrong as them neglecting her. She didn't speak up because she prides in her leadership role too much. Thus, she thinks that if she admits her weakness, people will judge her. All she had to do was swallow up her pride and fears and speak up. They're not going to judge her if she admitted her weakness. They've always had her back through thick and thin. If they didn't Team RWBY would've disbanded from Day 1. She's the leader of Team RWBY. Emphasis on "Leader" and "Team". As such, BOTH must help and trust in each other.
Also even if they did notice her pain, they're going to make her talk unless she's ready. So they'll give her space until then.
@@TheSupermario812 What Ruby said was a red flag but, at the same time, she had a point. They had to stop acting like they were literally in the story of "The Girl who fell through the World" and focus on learning more about where they're at, find out how they got there and how to get back home.
For the record, trying focus on finding a way home would've been a more believable reason for them to neglect Ruby's pain without it making them look like total idiots.
I doubt catching Ruby from falling or at least putting her in a recovery position would've affected her journey to find herself negatively. Because it would've at least proven that they're not TRYING to neglect to her. But nooooo, RT's show, RT's rules.
Blake didn't push Ruby away. Blake already learned from that mistake. Ruby pushed her friends away. Yes, that should have asked what's up. But, as Yang pointed out, she should've told them first. Like AFTER she fainted. Otherwise, she wouldn't have erupted into anger at them. That's what happens when you bottle up your pain.
Believe me, Ruby has a right to be angry. But no right to take it out on them. They're not reason they're trapped in Ever After nor is she. It was the fault of the Cinder and Neo as well as Penny's recklessness.
I have reason to believe something is up with Ruby, she is being too happy and cocky for someone who has been through alot, I know this take place during their time in Atlas before the whole chaos and making plans that could save people of the other kingdoms. Not sure why yangs concerned because they’ve taken down bigger grim. Hell
Ren defeated the snake grim by himself on the first day at beacon. So many of the kids have taken down bigger grim before with no issues, and even during the snake grim fight…neither blake nor Yang were helping Ruby
Now I don’t have the whole context for what the films about or even what they’re doing with Ruby’s character but the clip is just what I have to go off of
I think is less about the risk itself and more about ruby rythm and behavior
She kinda heroic suicidal
She isnt really planning to survive or have a future
So it took Yang all of 9 volumes to care about her sister , Sarcastic “Hazzah”
Ahem, Yang looking for Ruby all across Remnant in Volume 5? Nearly sacrificing herself in Volume 8?
And here I am hoping for a RWBY x Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels crossover….. 😒😒
Wait a minute…. “Ever since we got back” sooo…..where is jaune
Out on patrol, obviously.
@@DPS1194 that’s crazy lmao
... Wait, this is after volume 9?
I believe so, we also see the desert at the end which I believe is where they're heading in volume 10
smash right through? that sounds like something goku would say.
I know alot of people thought the movies were bad but am i the only one who likes them
Well, WBH fucked up big time
BUT WHY THOUGH
Ohh
The Writing is dead
Yang is suddenly worried about her sister after ignoring her Obvious depression last season totally
Yep. All this is, is RT trying to undo there F ups.
@@futurestories2380 Too little, too late.
@deathshadow2492 Yep. Time to burn this F***er to the ground.
Hey! Yang remembers that she has a sister to care for instead of a cat who repeatedly destroyed her trust and made her neglect her family.
Nope I remember where Yang is an individual who can have love and care for her family which makes Blake apart of their family.
@@justynhill4814 Yeah, Blake is apart of the family... taking the family girl away from her loving family and removing all of the good qualities that she once had the same way that Blake lost her positive qualities when she kissed Sun goodbye and began to act like he and her own family didn't exist.
it seems to me all this trouble could be avoided if they talked Ruby Rose in Volume 9
They tried, but if the other person isn’t willing to open up what else can you do? You can only try so money times
Don't even start the blame game here
@@kenpo6346Exactly, they can't just force her to talk if she doesn't want to. Besides her hiding the pain and sitting around waiting for them to notice is just as bad.
@@TheSupermario812 Ruby's "We should stop pretending like we know what we're doing" line meant they need stop thinking how Ever After works like in the fairy-tale they read because because this is the real deal and clearly there were things that weren't mentioned in the story. Like the Red King is now the Red Prince, for instance.
Oh, is everyone ignoring the fact that whenever they tried to asked Ruby what's up, they keep getting interrupted by one problem after another? It's like Ever After itself doesn't want them to help her.
Blake did no such thing. And neither did Weiss or Yang. Plus being together wasn't the only thing on Yang and Blake's minds, they were also focusing on trying to find a way to get back home. Years could be passing for all they know. Ruby's was also envious of their relationship because to her it's like life's way of mocking her over Penny's death and rubbing it in her face.
They're not taking her leadership for granted, she's kinda taking them for granted. Ruby needed to realize that even a hero needs saving. A true leader would ask their teammates for help if they have any problems of their own and not sit around expecting them to notice.
It appears the writers are letting Yang worry about someone other then Blake. Interesting.
Well she and Blake already confessed their feelings for each other so Yang’s protective instincts are going to be shifted over to Ruby since she clearly knows that she’s the one who’s suffering.
@@ketanmay8469 What crack are you smoking? First off, this is set before Volume 9 when Yang was protective over Blake. Second off, when they made bumblebee more formally a thing in V9 and Yang and Blake said they loved each other or whatever, Yang immediately worried for Blake instead of her own sister.
@@polskamapping6116 It actually does take place after v9 as they are in Vacuo
Yang is basically mad at ruby for doing her job
Oof! Yang slamming the door in anger is never a good sign. Ever since RWBY and Jaune got back from the Ever After, Ruby's gotten way cockier and overestimated her capabilities in her battle with King Taijutu. I mean, it's great she's slowly coming back to her normal self, but it looks like she's become...something else.
High freaking time Yang acted like an older sister. It only took her committing spiritual suicide and the events of volumes 4-9 to do so, but finally.
Nah she was always her sister just wasn’t perfect which is fine.
@@justynhill4814 On paper yes, but on screen she may as well be an absentee sibling.
@@wholesome_masochist4113- expect she’s shown her care through her voice and actions. Not going to be perfect but she will be there for Ruby.
@@justynhill4814 Hypocrisy thy name is volume 9
@@wholesome_masochist4113- again not perfect and they tried to check on her but Ruby kept bottling things up but she wasn’t the only one processing things and some found a distraction or new way to deal with the problems.
Genshin Impact
Not gonna lie it's still yang's fault for not being a good sister in the first place in v9.
WHERE CAN YOU WATCH THE PART TWO??? I tried to search for any links but it is still not translated yet 🥲
