So is it possible to buy a partted out m3 , cut the quater pannel part u need , cut the inside metal and use this method to turn a wide body m3 baxk to normal, as long their cut wasnt rreally high ?
Would this same procedure work on the inner front wing arches? Both mine are rusting through badly so I've got a pair of new replacement wings, they're due to be painted in a couple of weeks but I'd like a way to help prevent it happening again before they're fitted. Money is very tight at the moment so I'm looking for a cost effective solution.
what sort of seem sealer did yous use to build up the chanel? i stripped my whole underside off and cleaned and waxoyled it yesterday, was shocked to see the ammount crap caught behind the front arch liner
Hi, depending on application we will either use Wurth Seal/Fix or Kent Sprayable Seam Sealer. It's amazing how much gets caught up in these Rear Wheel Arches. Well done for cleaning it out of yours.
Redish Automotive thanks. i'll be using your subframe plates too as a preventative maintenance in a couple months too. you guys do a awesome job but i'm at the other end of the country so it wouldn't be easy to get yous to do it
Really need this done to my two rear arches! Can you tell me if it's essential to remove the subframe and petrol tank to do this work? Also when you say removing all inside... you mean the boot carpet? Would this need to be done also to have this work completed. I understand petrol and welding don't mix! But was hoping to do this work on a affordable budget. I'm guessing this is ver labour intensive before you start.
Hey I need to ask how much something like this actually cost to do! I had my rear guards cut to fit the larger tyres on my track wheels. Had the fenders painted and sealed, but somehow water must've been getting in and has started to rust the inner metal! How much would it cost to weld in all this new metal?
Low mileage isn’t worth paying for on these cars unless they’re guaranteed to have been cleaned thoroughly underneath all their life and stored in a dehumidified garage. BMW are crazy for fitting U shaped arches and then hiding them behind liners so they fill with salty mud. My 130i on 2007 is starting to go on arches, just as my 2004 Z4 did. It’s all down to the arch liners blocking cleaning. I’ve seen 25 year old Saabs with L shaped arch lips and no arch liners that are perfectly clear of rust, stored outside, high mileage etc, all original.
I wish there are more shops like this. Great work.
Another spot-on job from Redish. Your enthusiasm really shines through.
Banging tunes as always from the redish boys
We’re those rubber plugs at the 8:40 minute mark supposed to be puttied over and covered like that? Seems like they should have been removed
About how much would this cost
Good job! Never seen that bad...
Hello there, im looking on BMW etk but not showing a number.
Can you please say the part nr ?
Thanks in advance
Hy, what is part number for these rear arches replacement parts?
i would like to know this also...
Sometimes its better to replace than repair.
Where did you source your panels from? Is the only source the dealership?
are te arches still available you think? mine are crusted too

l34052 if you’re talking about the front fenders, you can replace them with completely new ones. They screw out
@@6ixvamp i think he means the inner arches ( part of the strut tower) which yes is replaceable and more easy compared to rear sills
My m3 is due new wings in the new year.

@@MrW4ippy yeah I know that’s how most cars go indeed
The only thing I don't like about your videos is the appaling "music" in the background. Put Planet Rock on for Pete's sake ;)
