Rodrigo, please know the signs of altitude sickness. It is no joke and can lead to death if not treated. Your headach concerns me. People may experience: Whole body: inability to exercise, fatigue, loss of appetite, or low oxygen in the body Sleep: sleepiness or sleeping difficulty Gastrointestinal: nausea or vomiting Respiratory: rapid breathing or shortness of breath Also common: fast heart rate, headache, insufficient urine production, or respiratory distress syndrome I appreciate seeing the adventure. I hope you are both safe.
I agree Lucy. We do not want anything bad to happen to either of them. You must be in the medical field. I am a recently retired 911 Dispatcher and these are definitely things to be aware of. Plus they are both sick. So, slow and easy you 2. ❤️😊
Coca leaves for altitude sickness, very helpful. Buy a bag for less than a dollar, chew on the leaves. I spent some time in Cuzco and explored the higher elevations for a month, those leaves made a world of a difference. Just my two cents! Hope you two are feeling better.
Rodrigo you need to take altitude sickness seriously. Please keep safe. No more high mountain climbing until your headache goes away. Although I did love seeing the rainbow mountain, but not at the expense of your well-being. Hugs from 🇨🇦
I do appreciate your candor about your trip experience right now. So often we see youtubers that want their channel to be a "walk in the park" instead of portraying reality. Just stay safe guys and make the best of it❤❤
That was so sweet Freddie I love how you've fallen in love with Roger he's a lucky kitty! 🐈⬛❤ The Rainbow Mountains are gorgeous I've seen them in other youtubers videos and I'm amazed every time. Thanks for taking us along Rodrigo! 🌈❤ Hope you're both feeling better soon! 🤧🤒😷
I have not seen him on Jordan’s videos yet. Hopefully soon. I miss seeing Roger too. 😻 I may have to give them a tiny nudge. 😉. The Kitty / Cat cafe was so cute and it does not surprise me one bit that Freddie found it. Freddie and Rodrigo you both have the biggest hearts. You complete each other in the best way possible. 💕 I can’t wait to see your reunion with “our” Roger. ( I know your eyes will leak. Mine are just thinking about it. ) I am sure they are sending pics and videos. If not, they are in trouble. 😋 🇺🇸❤️🇵🇦
Okay - you guys are really getting this travel vlogging thing RIGHT. Great B-Roll - interesting shots - lots of 'showing - not telling'. Great editing. Super happy for you two!
You are both such troopers! Freddie, you made a good call staying back! The day trip looked grueling! Thanks so much for sharing your awesome travels! Stay safe! xxx
You guys are the best. Love how your videos are real, and not pretending every day is rainbows and unicorns. Or, in this case colored fabrics and llamas. Probably will never forget your time in the fog looking at photos with normal view. : ) Love how you keep saying you're still positive and optimist in midst of challenges. Great job and absolutely adorable.
I know you guys are powering through because of your dedication to making great videos but, your health is more important than anything else. Please take care of yourselves and take it easy. The scenery is beautiful but your health is more important.
One time I was just riding in a car over Trail Ridge Road, around 12,000 ft in Colorado, and was so altitude sick I could not get out and walk around, and I was exhausted. I felt like I could not breathe deeply and I was dizzy. We went right back down to a lower elevation and I improved. Oddly, I went back up there when I was older and had no problem, got out at the top and hiked around. I used to backpack at high altitudes, I have no idea why I was so struck by the low oxygen some times and not others. I do know you do not fight it, you listen to your body and take it easy or even retreat to a lower elevation. I am glad Rodrigo got a horse for the hike up at that altitude. That is several thousand feet over where I said 'uncle' from going up too high too fast. But what a beautiful adventure!
I'm glad you finally found a nice place to stay...sad that both of you are not feeling the best but as you said you are not missing out on anything...hopefully the rain will stop so you can enjoy it more...see you later from Australia 👍
Love you both. Rest for 24 hours (or at least slow down). You are both so healthy and will snap right back with a little rest and care. I have heard that altitude sickness is serious though. So ... good on you both. I really enjoyed the mountain trip and thanks for sticking it out and going to the top. Wow .... Rainbow Mountain is awesome. I also totally enjoyed walk through the town. What a fun market and the fountain was very beautiful. You are good travel guides for courious people! Get well and carry on! ❤❤
I love how you two are a team not just a couple. I am so proud of you two for always staying calm through hard situations, that shows integrity. Titles do need to also reflect integrity, not so much drama 😞. Your love and integrity shows throughout your videos. I don't know if I am explaining correctly. I enjoy watching. I've watched Rodrigo since day one and watched him grow and Bloom. And I've watched him fall in love. It is such a wonderful thing. You both are doing a wonderful job. And I see the partnership and I think that is wonderful. You both are very lucky. 🎉
I love you two so much and I appreciate your travels and your willingness to explore ❤ However, I think we All want you to be safe and healthy... It's not worth it if you are not feeling well. Please, please take care of yourselves first, there will be other videos and the climate change and altitude change is no joke... We Love you and just want to see you well and Happy 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
The kitty cafe was awesome they were so cute.🐈🐈🐈🐈Freddy the food looks so good glad you bought some soup for your cold, stay warm and rest. Rodrigo the snow mountain were so beautiful thanks for the tour hope you get better from your nose. Stay warm, rest and stay safe out there you guys.🙏
There are two prescriptions you can get to prevent altitude sickness. One is Dexamethasone. It is a steroid that reduces brain swelling and can therefore prevent or reduce headaches. It should be started one day before ascent. Another drug, Diamox will help with breathing so you can metabolize more oxygen thus feel better overall. Talk to your doctor about these before doing this again so you can enjoy more. I only took Dexamethasone when we went to Colorado. It was around 9,000 feet elevation. I had a bad headache for a few hours but then was fine the rest of the time. Water, water, water is hugely important as you lose fluids faster at high elevations and can easily become dehydrated. Enjoyed your video!
Praying that Rodrigo does not have altitude sickness and recovers overnight. Freddie even though you were under the weather you managed to do what you had planned. Please take care of each other and wishing you the best on your next adventure. Much love to the both of you for being an adventurous couple. So until the next one stay well, be safe and prosper.
Oh my! I am glad you stayed and rested, Freddie! We spent 10 days in and around Cuzco for our 35 th anniversary. It was amazing, but the altitude sickness was a killer!
I'm so happy for you guys it looks like you're having a really good time I'm sorry that you're sick and I'm sorry for your headache but hopefully this too shall pass but you're going strong and that's amazing I'm enjoying your videos
I almost lost a friend to altitude sickness. It is nothing to play with. Please get yourselves checked out in some ER or hospital. It is beautiful there. And from what I can tell, the people are friendly. Good times. Stay safe and healthy (get some rest) and see y'all in the next one.
You two are just the best! Down to earth, pushing thru when others would pop a squat, and we on the channel just love y’all! Please take care of yourself and PACE YOURSELF. The world needs you! Roger needs you! Love from Arkansas to you!❤️❤️❤️
❤ you sharing adventures places I will never get to see. SO Thankful you by yourself was safe 🙏 ❤ your new place to stay looks the best you have stayed. Can't wait to see more. GOD BLESS YOU TWO 🙏 ❤️
I hope you guys feel better soon. My wife is Bolivian, and we travel to Santa Cruz yearly (VIA Panama) from Canada to visit family. I have been to La Paz, Bolivia, once and had a hard time with altitude sickness. You should also see a doctor.
The images you showed were Awesome...The painting on the wall...beautiful...Sorry but I enjoyed freddie's trip better than the hike...I'm not an adventurer but I love the town tour! Love you guys!! The kitten café was awesome...I would have wanted to take all the cats home!
I was there for along time. It is very cold and i chewed the coca leaves for altitude sickness. The locals sold it in little bags for 50 cents. Really helped tourists get acclimated quickly. I loved it there and the people. Best time ever.
I had a horrible headache the first day at high altitude and thankfully was gone the next day. Lots and lots of water while you are there very Important.
Freddie, you did a great job on your solo vlogging. May you both feel world's better very, very soon. Loved the video! Peru looks a lot like Southern Mexico where I live, so colorful and lovely. Crazy roof falling apart in that Air BnB, and nutty weather initially on this journey. Glad everything improved!
I love the cat cafe , just lost my MEWMEW so this part brought a tear and made me think of finding one near me. Nothing can compare when a cat chooses your lap to sit in and PUR. So this video was PURRFECT. Thank you
You guys are still suffering from altitude sickness. Start chewing on some coca leaves---they help a lot. I've found it best to chill out in Cusco for 2 or 3 days before making excursions and chewing coca leaves all the time & drinking coca tea. Go to the pharmacy and get some altitude sickness pills--yes that's a real thing.
Freddie, you delight me! You are so positive and upbeat. Rodrigo, pay attention to your body. I worry. Altitude sickness can kill you. Don’t mess around, the headache worries me. Love you two!
Altitude sickness is no joke. You need to slow down a bit. I know you are young and energetic but it can hurt your health as it is showing right now. Prayers. Beautiful btw
Really been enjoying you guys sonce the beginning. Love all of it. Liked the cat Cafe and missing Roger! Enjoy the rest of your trip and pray your home is OK in all the rain. God bless!
Wow- you guys are in storms and rains and Back in Panama they are having the same thing. I’m so sorry. I did the trip your doing three years ago when I got elevation sickness!!!
I lived in Peru 9 years and I always used $5-10 per night hotels. Never once did I get a dud. In fact I marvel that tourists think they need to pay $100 per night when the local people enjoy nice hotels for very cheap. Of course I never had a $10 or less per night hotel with a heater! I woke up half frozen and many times skipped a shower. The hotels in the Amazon lowlands are a lot more fun and a lot more comfortable. At any rate, you are making great memories. Puno is high and cold also.
Nothing worse than being on a whole day and getting sick and running into more rain now you guys need a holiday from your holiday. Thank you for this adventure. I don’t think I’ve ever been through Peru. 👍🏻💯
Quinoa is pronounced keenwa - not being critical, just hoping to be helpful. If, in fact, that was the name for that soup. It didn't look like quinoa! Also, I get altitude sickness at around 8000 ft and was relieved to find out that it is not a reflection of one's health or being out of shape. It just takes time to acclimate! Love your new place to stay! Lol, hopefully the ceiling will remain intact!
How do the locals react to someone so fair skinned speaking Spanish so fluently? I bet they’re surprised you’re not speaking English. Kudos on your multi-language mastery Freddie!
I don't know...perhaps you two should take a couple of days off.🤔 I said you're troopers...but enjoyment is the best part of adventure. Not jist surviving.😅 I'm sure Roger misses you too Freddy. What a sweet and sad moment. Thanks for the new video tho. You two made great content. Take care of yourselves!💜💜💜
RODRIGO THANK YOU FOR SHARING THE BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAINSIDE VIEW AND FREDDIE it's the first time I ever seen queso elado it looked so good I'm going to see if I can find out how to make it 😊👍 have fun and enjoy your adventure, hope you two feel better soon 😊
It stinks that this happened while you are on vacation but it's good to see that you are making the best of having a cold and having altitude sickness. I have read that Diamox can help with altitude sickness. You are doing great with the travel vids!
Here in Colorado, athletes come to train because of the high altitude and it is no joke for people who haven't trained and are not used to this climate. Praying for you both. High altitude for athletes to overcome less oxygen in the bloodstream and learn to breathe differently. If you can train in these conditions then any other climate is a breeze .
Freddie is ready to nest… She will be the best Mom! You will be the greatest Dad! I loved my pups so much… But, I knew I was ready for more responsibility when I realized I could be a responsible adult taking care of another important life, made out of love ❤
Loving trip just wish yall were feeling better! And I know Rodg is missing you Freddie just like all the animals are missing both of you. Y’all take such good care of them! Please always lock doors in a strange place with people knowing you are tourists just saying 😉
You are in Cusco at the wrong season! Rainbow Mountain is not just more scenic without the snow, but it's also not so hard to do the climb when it isn't freezing! (I was there in May. It was cold up there but not that cold.)
both of you guys: Altitude Sickness is no joke, and there is no such thing as "preparing" or "acclimatizing" yourself to prevent or cope with Altitude Sickness, the only cure is to get your body to a lower altitude as quickly as possible. also, the only way to find out if you have this issue is to find out in person, by being at whatever altitude starts to make you yourself sick (what specific altitude that is can be different for different people) --- the important thing to know is that if you start experiencing symptoms and you don't then move to a lower altitude it can also cause death! some people who have done mountaineering have died of Altitude Sickness because they didn't listen to their body when they started having the symptoms, and they kept climbing higher instead of turning around and going back down the mountain. this issue doesn't happen in an airplane with a pressurized cabin. please study up on this and also check with a doctor to make sure if this is what you experienced, so you can then plan your adventures around optimal medical safety for your personal needs. 💛🌞

I love your positive attitude Freddie! You are a champion! Keep on that beautiful smile of yours and have fun guys! 😊
Praying you two feel better. Thank you for bringing us along. You two are troopers ❤❤
i hope you got a FULL REFUND from the place with the falling down ceiling.

Yes. The cocoa leaves help a lot, but sometimes you need oxygen, as well
You two need some hot soup and a warm bath, then a good night’s sleep. Thank you for sharing your day with us ❤
I would recommend the sauna/ice bath/sauna/ice bath routine.
Rodrigo you need to take altitude sickness seriously. Please keep safe. No more high mountain climbing until your headache goes away.
Although I did love seeing the rainbow mountain, but not at the expense of your well-being.
Hugs from 🇨🇦

The background music sounds like it’s from Scotland? Okay I will watch the rest now!
Hahahah I loved it and had to fit it somewhere 😅💚
i wish you interrupted the edited-in music so we could hear the natural audio when the local musicians were playing on their flute.

Totally agree!!
Headache etc are high altitude sickness. It’s dangerous if it gets worse. Be careful
I had a horrible headache the first day at high altitude and thankfully was gone the next day. Lots and lots of water while you are there very Important.
Freddie I think it is so sweet how badly you miss Roger.
Freddie, you did a great job on your solo vlogging. May you both feel world's better very, very soon. Loved the video! Peru looks a lot like Southern Mexico where I live, so colorful and lovely. Thank you for taking us along on your trip! Looking forward to the next one!

When she found the soup she didn't comment...I'm assuming she didn't like it. Quinoa is a word I have heard before. thank you!
Please take care guys. Thank you for sharing all these amazing places with us. So beautiful. Hope you get some rest before the next adventure.❤️

Loving trip just wish yall were feeling better! And I know Rodg is missing you Freddie just like all the animals are missing both of you. Y’all take such good care of them! Please always lock doors in a strange place with people knowing you are tourists just saying 😉
Rodrigo and Freddie, please take care of each other! Feel better soon!
Freddy, you are such a sweet soul❤❤❤❤ Never change😊😊😊
You are definitely my favorite TH-cam couple.
Oh when you started to cry because you miss your kittie, I cried with you!
You are in Cusco at the wrong season! Rainbow Mountain is not just more scenic without the snow, but it's also not so hard to do the climb when it isn't freezing! (I was there in May. It was cold up there but not that cold.)
This makes me want to travel a little more ✌️👏
both of you guys: Altitude Sickness is no joke, and there is no such thing as "preparing" or "acclimatizing" yourself to prevent or cope with Altitude Sickness, the only cure is to get your body to a lower altitude as quickly as possible. also, the only way to find out if you have this issue is to find out in person, by being at whatever altitude starts to make you yourself sick (what specific altitude that is can be different for different people) --- the important thing to know is that if you start experiencing symptoms and you don't then move to a lower altitude it can also cause death! some people who have done mountaineering have died of Altitude Sickness because they didn't listen to their body when they started having the symptoms, and they kept climbing higher instead of turning around and going back down the mountain. this issue doesn't happen in an airplane with a pressurized cabin. please study up on this and also check with a doctor to make sure if this is what you experienced, so you can then plan your adventures around optimal medical safety for your personal needs.
