I was watching your videos a second ago.
1:10 the year is 2023 Mario 64 ROM hacking has reached unthinkable heights, and yet we're still assigning guitars to Slap Bass in MIDI
To be fair it's a really old .m64 file. We just got a bunch of old ROM hack songs for the sake of nostalgia, plus Mario Builder 64 is really good at making SM74 or SM64 Green Stars looking levels.
@@rovertronicyou gotta include some missing stars songs like the forest maze version and also that one Bomberman 64 song that was in every hack back then.
You just gave a lot of satisfying ideas to a bunch of people that they're going to try out once Mario Builder releases.
So looking forward to it.

Unlike silver stars which can increase in pitch all the way into the ultrasound range, Super Mario 64's red coins only go up in pitch for the last 7 coins.

@@maxrichards5925 something like that what I would do is place the last red coins in a circle of sorts around one of those wooden pegs from BOB or a Mr I and do it in such a way that you get a real good double star spawn.

you should show mario collecting blue coins up to a certain amount followed by red coins, with the 8th being in a tight spot
then both 100 coin and 8 red star pop...
then mario slips into a different star instead, missing both

Will the levels be online / sharable? I feel this would be huge for community engagement and gaming channels since they could just keep playing custom levels for all eternity

No, they're all built into the ROM. (Unless you're being sarcastic and actually really want custom m64 loading, in which that's a theoretically possible, but definitely wouldn't be something I do on release)

Will Mario Builder 64 be available on Android ?
Only if Android N64 developers add SD card / flashcart support. There are rumors floating around that Mupen64 might get SD card support, but I can't be 100% sure. You'll definitely still be able to use the editor, but you won't be able to save levels or play other people's levels.
