The fact that you said you were always a very messy person but changed your life around made me hit the like button! I'm currently 26 and up until last year I lived as a complete slob, slept till noon, my room was a disaster area, but I've been turning things around. I'm nowhere near perfect yet, but the fact that I've come as far as I have is a miracle. You're inspiring me to do even better!

Omg yes! I’m 21 and I used to be the same way!!! Sleeping in, having everything messy, ect. Ect. Lol... I took Brittny’s sleeping advices, cleaning advices, and everything else lol. Now I’m way cleaner than I have ever been! Lol... It didn’t happen over night, but I’m glad I have come this far!!! ☺️☺️☺️

Dealing with mail immediately and cleaning as you cook are a must in my home. As a working mom, it's necessary.
Agree! Ugh...the mail. I always feel crippled by the clutter of cooking mess and mail sitting around and it makes me less productive if I dont take care of it immediately.
One of my goals is to banish “junk mail clutter” from my home. Purchased a small shredder and it malfunctioned after 1 5 minutes use. Will exchange it and keep shredding because I think it’s the most efficient method.
I watched this video like 5 times. Good tips and your honesty and encouragement really helped me to believe that I can do it.
I am a born neat freak and these are all the tips I live by. I refuse to come home to a messy house after a stressful day and these little few minute tips make such a huge difference on my overall peace of mind. The other thing I recommend is don't buy anything unless you know of a perfect place to store it.

Cleaning the toilet every day makes a big difference in helping keep the bathroom clean. Keep a roll of paper towels in the bathroom along with a bottle of disinfectant cleaning spray. After using the toilet, spray the toilet and bowl and wipe it down with a paper towel and scour it with the brush. Toss the paper towel in the trash. It takes about 45 seconds and you're toilet is always fresh and clean. And there's nothing better than the feeling of sitting on a fresh clean toilet.

you might add -- keep belongings to a minimum, things you actually use. This will cut down on clutter and organizing time.

Do you mean there might be hope for me? I am a senior citizen and have always been a "slob". I do not pick up after myself. I get something out and don't put it back. I just found your channel and I went back and started with your new house tour and working my way thru to current videos. I'm liking what I am seeing. So I will be subscribing. I like that you are coming across as budget aware - you mentioned coupons. So, I am looking forward to some possible meal planning, grocery hauls, etc.

I agree with this video so much!! I used to be incredibly messy, you couldn’t even walk in my room! Now I’m extremely clean and tidy. It just took time to turn it into a habit and it has improved my life so much.

I love this video! I was in the hospital for a couple of months, and became quite weak. This was a good video for me to watch; it motivates me to keep on, keepin' on, and how to keep up with things so I don't have very much heavy cleaning very often.

Your dealing with the dishwasher and dishes immediately really has helped me. I go one extra step. When I load my dishwasher I am sorting out at the same time. I load all my flatware together in groups. All my forks get loaded in same basket area, all the spoons together and same with the knives. When I unload I can just grab all the forks at once and put them in the drawer divider then the spoons all get grabbed at the same time. and put away. all the dinner plates load together etc. Unloading was always my biggest peeve. I don't even mind anymore.
I am really enjoying your channel. In my house if I don't do it it doesn't get done. I am getting things DONE.

Great video - thank you! Like others have mentioned I'm really glad that you mentioned that your current state of cleanliness is a result of your own personal growth! An idea for your dog - you can place, you, your dog, and your robot vacuum in a bathroom and first start by keeping it turned off until he gets used to it. Then when he's calm when it's turned off, you then can turn it on briefly, then turn it back off again. Again until he gets used to it. Keep doing that until he loses all fear of the vacuum. Just my two cents.

I love this video and I totally agree! I live by the tips you suggested! The biggest thing I learned is cleaning as I go and I find that I do less cleaning that takes a longer time and my house stays clean longer. It's great! Thanks Brittany!

All these tips are great and I've used some of them since living in my own apartment. HOWEVER, how are you supposed to get your husband on the same page ??!? I feel like I can do all these things but I end up having to pick up after my husband. Any tips for that😜

I do these tips as well (before this video) and let me tell you..... I pick up after my hubby and 2 older boys and baby. It gets stressful but it all becomes routine. Just always tell you self do it now not later❤️
But have a day set when your hubby could clean and do everything for you! We put a lot of ourselves into our homes and they need to appreciate us and doing it themselves will def make them realize how blessed they are. Or have him do it all in one day and see how stressful/busy it gets and maybe he'll change his ways to make it easier on you! (Been married 11 years and let me tell you it'll help!)

Preparing stuff and clothes the night before is my routine since I was young. I do that so I wont forget anything the next day and just grab the stuff I needed for that day and straight to the door out. Its a nice habit not only every night for next day but prior of every task and event your planning ahead.

I use the same habit while I cook, I learned it from my dad. It's really nice when you're done you can eat your food and not worry about washing a kitchen full of dishes when you're finished!
