Love the video, but I thought it was the R730xd? is the DX another model?

I don't live in a place that can have a rack. I am in a Small apartment, but I have really enjoyed jumping into building my own server. I only have a slight anxiety from the uncovered CPU sockets. Mainly because I had a slip and damaged one. I love watching stuff. Thanks for making these videos, I am learning a lot.

I have a HPE DL380 gen9 with 8 x 2.5'' slots, there is room to add another 8, but I HATE that I have to buy a drive cage for it instead of just the backplane and cables. They could easily had the slots/grooves included in the chassis.

I am just putting together one of these myself - have most of the parts you installed, except mines the LFF unit, so 12 3.5" bays up front. What is the part number of the network daughter card you installed in yours?

you want the Dell C63DV Intel i350/X520 av. $39 in cost and will do the R-730 down to a 630. Here is a link to help you source out a NIC daughter card www.ebay.com/itm/296361349135?epid=2199369590&itmmeta=01HZQFS7AGJFTQJQYMNJ19KDDH&hash=item450083500f:g:-w4AAOSwvX1mGVZJ&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8EZDsST8M9ZrtoODVS%2B1tF9kE%2BIkEPmqWXOTG1LcrgSOtNC5XQv87Ght20zoARkWvbFBVSIMx4UuVr9B5gM8%2BEPEWm1fCFbXP%2BA8lVzCQTTY276RaYUOY7BXFZ%2BbQlhdBHqJQLKFLA3MBAIU%2FXsJz0yCsC%2BtUPnniPTdsB7V8yJz%2FTrkQdyzmxmDXEuXAi7p0JnX0iSDgvCM4H1mf4ZBjR0C0owjPl3Xobe2I91ATA7i0m5X%2BprVxpL531fKp7Yu39F4Vt%2FbU%2B4s4637HiX7nai8jOcFwoM2%2F2cNfF7x%2Ffl3871kaPCSfvNJLMj2EQ0K5w%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMsvXk7_1j
