This was our wedding song. We totally blew people's minds with this one! I can't even count how people came up to us and asked "Who sings this?" "Who is that?" "That is a great song!" Still brings a tear to my wife's eye when she hears it.
If you're lucky enough to find someone so special and feel this way bout them... NEVER let them go. AND make sure those same feelings are truly returned back to you. Together you'll find a lasting love for life.💞
That's very true & I actually surprised my wife on our wedding day & grabbed a guitar started singing this song to her as my vows & it made her cry but in good way now it's been going on 10yrs married with 2 kids happily still.. I found out as years passed that it takes both partners to come together & work as a team, be honest truthful communication & conversation is key to any relationship, it's not all sunshine & rainbows being married takes alot of working TOGETHER to make it what YOU want & talking about your issues plus problems makes it all worth being with that person when you have everything out on the table, cause I have found out that your friends & family will try to come into your business & friends who aren't happy will try to knock your happiness down & come between YOU so both parties have to know each other's secrets & darkest moments cause if not someone else who wants your girl or guy will bring it all out & lies will be included, so if you really love your partner you have to have each other's back & have GOD in your life in your marriage as well.. Spoil each other, spend every waking moment with them, give to receive & respect your partner in everything they do & never show other's your weaknesses, stand by your word & stand up for each other, be proud to show them off cause they going home with YOU not with anyone else & last, have fun with each other joke laugh hold hands, whenever she's washing dishes or putting on makeup, walk up behind her & grab her pull her back brush her hair back & kiss on her neck whisper in her ear tell her how special she is to YOU that she is the most beautiful woman of all, that YOU are the luckiest guy to have such a wonderful woman in your life & then walk away, always show her the little things in life & you both will have a healthy loving life TOGETHER...
i miss any kind of music. nowadays instruments are props for models. i miss listening to the radio with a boombox ready to make a mix tape (and that mix tapes back then were actually tapes)

Brian Neeley....Not just music but movies and clothes too!!!
Brian Neeley ME TOO BRIAN AND I WOULD NEVER EXCHANGE THE MEMORIES FOR ANYTHING , NOW IM A SINGLE MOM OF ONE AND STILL LOVE THIS MUSIC CHEERS FROM WYOMING USA😈❤💋
This song is an absolutely beautiful song! What a voive! It is truly a gift from God! When I heard this in 1989, I was blown away! It took about 15 years to finally find this song! By accident, I bought a best of 80's CD, and I finally heard this song again! This is great music that soothes the soul! it is priceless! Peace to all, BobbyK
Sheriff played at our high school when this song was big. I spoke to band member Arnold Lanni afterwards and asked him how it feels to hear this Amazing song playing on the radio and he said it felt great and that he wrote the song and he wrote it for his wife. Such a nice guy.
Gregory Pigram I was a senior in 1989. Great music all 4 years of high school. I just stopped listening to songs made after 1990. My sister had me addicted to classic rock in elementary school. My mom had records of Helen Reddy, Simon and Garfinkel and John Denver. By middle school I was into Wham, Olivia Newton John, Falco, Bruce Springsteen, Huey Lewis and the News, Toto, Lionel Richie, Billy Joel and Boston (we had 8 tracks of the last 2) and Prince. (The Purple Rain tour was my first concert) In high school I saw both Rolling Stones and Grateful Dead at RFK in D.C. and Sting at the Patriot Center in Virginia. 80s music makes me so happy ☺
Arnold Lanni, Sheriff's keyboard player, wrote and played this song to his girlfriend on Valentines Day. She married him 2 yrs later. You're not alone.
I met the most amazing refreshing Driven hardworking mother of two kids as a single divorced mother doing it all on her own. Anyway we met on "Tagged".(long distance) relationship. Clair sent the first message and that message blew me away. so touching and sincere it completely melted my heart and I knew from that point I was going to marry this woman. This is our song... The connection I grew to have for her via cell texting and phone calls has kept us together and of course exchanging and sharing of our fav music. I Love you CL (Arizona)
I just stumbled across this song... I like it better now than when I first heard it 20 some years ago. Paying more attention to the lyrics, now really describes what it is like to be truly in love with someone. I've experienced that feeling only once in my life and I let her slip away and married someone else. I made a conscience decision to choose the one with a successful business to match mine instead of the one who had nothing yet gave me the feelings described in this song. Fast forward to the present and I'm divorced after 23 years of my life shot and my true love just was married to a very good man within the past few years. Though I am honestly thrilled for her and have remained very good friends, I am mad at myself. Moral of my story.... Choose love and happiness over the dollar. It's what's real and true. FACT.
Grew up on music like this!!! Loved growing up in the 80's!! This is REAL MUSIC, I don't know what the hell the crap the are calling music now a days is!
I remember hearing this song back in the '80's when I was in high school... Cruising around in my 1968 Chevy Cutlass with my friends after school, and during summer vacation. :) Better times then...
Ahh, the good ole days. A favorite, indeed❤️ I get chills, just by listening to this song. I'mma child from the 80s as well, proud of it. (46 years old, yep)
One of the most requested songs on my radio show in the 80's on KSAQ-(Q-96.1 FM) in San Antonio, Texas. I used to play this song a lot during the overnight shift.
This song takes my back to my childhood when I still believed in unconditional love. I hate life has taught me through experience that real life is not an 80's love song.
The story behind this song, how it became a huge #1 hit, is just as amazing as the song itself. My conclusion, in life, in love, in business, no miracles happen unless you try.
This song used to be me and my first love's song back when I was 14-16. I am now 36 and she passed away almost 2 years ago. We didn't stay together but remained friends. She has always been in my heart and always will be. I can't believe it's been 20 years since we were together. I still can't believe she's gone.
Great Canadian duo that formed the band Frozen Ghost. This song only made it to # 61 in the chats in 83, it wasn't until 6 years later after the band split up, the lead bought the rights and re-releaed it where it then hit #1 on Billboards top 100.
Music can keep us in a better place...with good memories and can be like a time machine for those people that live music..and 80's music is amazing...and that's why I'll never let it behind..is always there...
I was a radio DJ in the late 80’s and early 90’s. This is one of the songs I would use for, “Final Dedication” for all the people in love. Such a great song.
I would listen to this song over and over again traveling from Maryland to Montreal for 10 year every 2 weeks thinking of you Christine and how I loved you 465 miles was sure worth the drive . I was a lucky 🍀 man to have you in my life . Thanks for showing me some of the best times of my life love ❤️ always John
wow! 52 years old and this song brings tears to my eyes thinking of my girl. she gives chills everytime I think of her. best ballad I believe ever written. true and from the heart. Tina I love you so much.
Remember this song from sooo long ago when we were together Rich ?? I think about you and us alot, especialyl through the special songs we had together. If only I would've been home the day you wanted to come over. Every time I hear this song I will think of you and the times we had for 9 yrs. You are forever in my heart, take care up there Rich.......
The words, damn... sometimes life just isnt fair. I will always feel this way about her no matter what she doesnt feel for me. I don't want things to change... I don't want to leave...

It's got to be both working together for that to happen. Sadly that's not always the case. You fight for love that is true.

What a classic! I am so ashamed of the fact that I haven't heard this in a time! What a magic sound! Love it!
Great 80s rock ballad. They don't make music like this anymore.
Sheriff played at our high school when this song was big. I spoke to band member Arnold Lanni afterwards and asked him how it feels to hear this Amazing song playing on the radio and he said it felt great and that he wrote the song and he wrote it for his wife. Such a nice guy.
this is the same amazing vocalist who sang 'more than words can say.'
seriously, my day is made.
I remember this song back in 1989 I was a sophomore in High School. Wow how time flies. 30 years ago.

Funny how a single song can make you forget where you are currently.
It's amazing how music can screw with you thoughts, emotions.

The lead singer sounds like Cher.
I love this song... but I think that title goes to Right Here Waiting.
