If Blizzard were to literally just rebrand, SoD will check off all the boxes desired for Classic +: Every Spec is Viable (have runes turn to learnable skills from trainers), Professions are relevant/improved, Leveling is VERY time efficient, and raiding difficulty has improved gameplay (no more class stacking). This is Classic +. They said we are keep our characters, thus the logical stance is for them to create 2 servers. A Brand new server for the new players that refused to play a seasonal server or attempt to play SoD and another server that will hold all the current characters we have made that will maintain the economy and population/community that has already been created. They can continue to add new content at their leisure. Era survived for 5 years on the exact same content so Classic + can do the same considering is FAR More alt friendly than era ever was.
I think SoD should remain bound to Azeroth in a single timeline and never any flying. And no longer bound by lore. Classic, Wrath, CATA, MoP, BfA, those pirate isles or whatnot.
to clarify when u were reading my comment i want a sod era. but later down the line we have sod2 with new content new runes!! and even more new stuff in sod3, add these new things to sod era. bottom line i think classic+ should stay 1-60 with new patches that just expand the game horizontally. blizzard could drag us thru numerous seasons with new stuff

SoD Fresh still the best idea imo. I'd say the number of changes that were brought into SoD has really made it a separate game from Classic. To me, there's now three versions of WoW: Classic (whether you call this era or anniversary or whatever), Retail, and SoD. And the reason why I think a Fresh SoD would be nice is that you can plan things out when you form your guild etc. knowing what's coming. Having said that: I would definitely play a TBC SOD.
i think the xalatath stuff will move toward grim batol and i think we're definitely getting some caverns of time stuff that will be related. not sure if she'll be tied to the hyjal stuff but we'll see. i think places like uldum will prob be saved for classic plus if i had to guess

But then literally doing a near copy paste of SoM raids into SoD because they have nothing prepared due to what I wrote above ? Different story. They also more or less killed SoD during the ST neglect because Cata came out. Again manpower shortage. All in all the devs are actually doing very well with the tools that they were given.
SoD is still in active development while the rest of the classic versions are stuck on repeat. And, this is Blizz.... never, ever, on any version. Expect anything near a "happy ending'. Don't be naive. Over time Blizz can be counted on to screw their playerbase. Regardless of game version. But we all still play on one version of wow or another hoping for a FUN ending. If anything, sod needs something to help players returning. I came back for aq40 and naxx after stopping in phase 4. By missing all of bwl, its made it extremely difficult to get into pugs. I joined a guild of course and my retail experience has me fully capable of doing the content, but even so, the fact that the only piece of tier 2 is bracers on the real vendor hurts so much. Nobody is taking a fresh 60 with their preraid bis into the Bwl/zg pugs. This will be even worse in p7. They need to add tier 2 tokens to the real vendor. All of them. It will make people run dungeons which helps fresh 60s. Its part of the reason i love retail's seasonal structure. I can jump right in at the beginning of the season and not feel completely behind.

A lot of people who played phase 5 are already capped on ZG and bwl stuff, and it resorts to having to pug those raids once per week to where you have to get lucky you win. Returning and fresh 60s have always been the downfall of classic. They need to implement something that allows returning or fresh 60s the ability to catch up without having to try and get into pugs once per week and play loot lottery.

If you think it's hard to get caught up in wow sod then we are living too different realities. I lved up a toom to 60 and had him geared at mc/bwl level gear in less than a week all from pugging
The catchup process starts at level 23. Do incursion dailies and then grind mobs. level 1 Inc at level 23 to 37. Level 2 Incs at level 37 to 47. Level 3 Incs at level 47 to 53. Then BRE from 54 to 60. While filling in all the blanks with dungeons, raids and your favorite quests/rewards. A couple weeks and you're good to go with endgame gearing. And don't expect gamers to want to repeatedly do unpopular raids and whatnot. Dropping out of a season early. Expect a challenge to make up for lost ground. Why should you expect to be brought to front of the line immediately. When everyone else had to earn the spot. Next time. Avoid premature quitting. There ain't no cash shops with 60 boosts in the easiest version of WoW.

Right… I’m not sitting there farming gold at all, it’s only from leveling and investments… as well as I’m talking from a year from now, obviously an established economy on any server that’s been out for a year will have tons of gold…10k was just a rough a example, a solution to what you think is the end of the world. @ ok I’ll lead; for example I am rolling a Paladin in tbc on horde. I need 15k gold alone just for my mounts and learn skills and professions. So my apt will be limited but prob needs 5k gold for basic things. 20k gold is the goal. How long should I have to play in classic vs someone who plays SOD? I get the perspective from SoD players; I would want to bring all my shit too.. now think of playing a shaman in classic and wondering why you have to level a mage just to farm more then you wanted; because everyone in tbc has 10k gold on each alt. I’m definitely going to get BOEs from the AH right? Mats will not be priced out of my spending zone right? People paying for services will all change the same independent of SoD or not 😂 C’mon man..

Gold sellers have scaled back SoD operations. They follow what's hot atm.
