      KTM will soon going to introduce the Adv 250 in couple of months which is going to come with a slight lower seat height compare to Adv 390 than it would be possible to swipe to 250 seat to 390 now as per situation going on around the Nations lockdown n Covid 19 it might not be possible for most of manufacturing company to introduce new products in the market this might postponed to 2021 that what the current situation is going.

    Hey Bulu,
    Tnx for the honest views expressed by you!! I think, I well postpone my plan of purchasing another bike. As now replanning is the order of the day ie. Budgeting expenses. A cautious approach would be required to ride over the numerous financial hurdles post lockdown, that will arise. I'm sure like me, there might be others too who will shelve their purchase plans until a later date.
    None the less, please keep posting your vlogs, gives us something to look fwd to during these "Stay home" days!! Stay safe! Tc, cheers!!

    nice videos always.. I am following some of your videos on interceptor and 390. I have a question for you... Do you think 390 adventure with alloys and slightly less low end torque would be reasonable for some serious interiors(rocky and snow) of ladakh. I have a background of Enfields for at least 25 years. For me interceptor doesn't feel very comfortable and Himalayan feels underpowered. I believe Himalayan 650 should be to my liking.. please share your views ...is 390 adventure is really capable of drifting away from RE .. I just primarily need bike for ladakh from Delhi every year.. city ride is just 350 km per month. Thanks a ton bro.. I may be bothering you... Would be thankful for your update.👍

    Nice video.
    1. Whats the lowest speed we can do in higher gear 5th or 6th without knocking. Duke 390 used to be at 70 kmph at 6th for knock free ride.

    Great review ! Very thoughtful too ! I think the higher vibrations at lower speeds is due to its inherent extremely high torque (adverse effect of engine being too tightly coupled) and that is the reason it cannot even have a kick start or push start however using a condenser mod you can roll down a hill and push start will work even without a battery. Interesting to see if larger sprocket can fix it. Maybe future bikes will have gears like a bicycle to choose between large sprocket for low speed and small sprocket for high speed. Older duke was also good only the petrol tank was a balls crusher. Someone should do something about it :-)

    Low end torque is a must for hilly areas, and off road. They should retune this.
    If you think you can manage this with clutch modulation, all the best to your clutch plate

    Thank you for such a wonderful detailed review and giving information on height issues. I 13:26 own duke 200 and looking to upgrade to this but only thing stopping me is the seat height as I am 5.6ft.

    I hope they will improve with new 490 series, giving bigger front wheel, long travel suspension, softer rear monoshock, adjustable rider's footpegs, more ground clearance & specially most important option for spoked alloy rims.

      Done 12,000 odd kms on the 390 Adv and trust me it’s taken crowded places, hillocks, mud and what not. Best stuff inside the budget.. Highly recommended 💯

    Nice video, I have a duke 390 but the pillion isn't comfortable for 4 to 8 hours trips. Will this be much better as comfortable as versys or himalayan pillion? Thanks

    250 is Better traction at low end than 390. But features are less in ktm adv 250

    Why are you not riding adv 390 these days? I bought adv 390 few days back after checking many points and my requirements....your videos also helped in making a buying decision....
    People can afford adv 390...so kindly upload more videos on adv 390 compared to Africa twin...

    Bulu bhai, it's been just 2 months of purchase of the adventure 390 and inspite of riding it almost regularly even during lockdown in apartment parking, yesterday battery went low on voltage and now service centre guys ask me to replace battery under warranty saying it's a faulty Exide battery issue in a new bike. If this becomes a frequent scenario in Bengaluru, all rides go for a toss, when you don't have a kick start. I happened to read about battery issues in old ownership threads of duke 390 today but have no idea if issues have been solved in new versions.
    Let me know your views on the same?

    Plz arrange one tour where many riders can accompany you. Like one touring package preferably in South. If you can arrange food stay backup etc on charge basis like some touring operators do for laddhak trips.

I have already taken the test drive of Honda CB 350 from Royal brothers and l like the engine refinement, brakes and handling of the bike.     I am having power cut off issue in first two gears, service center saying common issue will be solved by a new pipe which is getting delayed due to lockdown. But till now no vloggers has mentioned it. What should I do.

    My friend informed that the are 2 issues with this bike
    1. The fan in the machine is not very effective as it cannot cool down the engines
    2. Not many mechanics on the road you knows this machine well.
    What is your view Bulu?

    Bulu bhai I ride a tiger 800xcx and now I have done most of the things up north as I am from Delhi, now I was thinking of buying ktm 390adv so that I can send this via road transport ahead and save sometime for example north east and spend that time exploring which otherwise I would be doing on boring highways
    So what do you personally suggest I go for ktm390 adv or Himalayan?
    I am 6 feet 1 inch and 104 kgs (on a heavier side) as I don't feel comfortable sending tiger 800 via transport as if something breaks its going to cost a bomb and also if something goes wrong then service/mechanic and parts availability is also to be considered .

    Normal 390 or Adventure 390 . Not into offroading much but still would like to get best of both.

      If you don't like touring then normal 390 will be better for you.
      Even if you do occasional tours then you must go for Adventure 390.

    Plastic ke tank bag lagane ka easy way hai.. 3M ki double side tape use karke.. iron ke chote chote piece paste kardo tank pe.. 3M tape is very sturdy.. and magnet bag would stick just fine

    I have changed the front sprocket with the 250 duke... 14 teeth wala... It is superb... Now the low end torque has increased but top spread has reduced.

    😲😲Is tank outer cover made of plastic like bsjaj's bikes OR internal main tank is also plastic?

      Internal tank will be most likely metal one.
      If there's plastic tank in bikes it will be easily accessible for rodents, then situation will be worst.

      The sweet spot of bmw is around 80-100kmph, so if you are looking form more, ktm bro!

    Can a centre stand be installed on this bike?
    No talk about city riding and adjustable suspension of this bike.
    Please make a comparison video of ktm 250 adv vs ktm 390adv. Vs new Himalayan 450 in city riding and specific to suspension comfort of each
    Because we buy most bike for all purpose
    Not everyone can buy two seperate 4 lakh worth bike.
    I believe this is value for money bike but so much of power daily riding is an over kill but then adjusble suspension is something no other Indian bike offers.

    Sir Duke 390 or adventure 390 mere ko daily use & occasional touring krna hai apki kya raay he ??? Extra 50k kaam ke hai kya

    Hi Bulu,
    I am sure this is a very stupid question you will feel.... KTM Adventure 390 or RE Interceptor 650 ? I can spend ₹ 4 lacs on a bike as of now... I have RX 100, RE Thunderbird and RE Himalayan in my garage. I am 40 years old and hardly get time for rides. Even if I ride once a year Leh or Spiti not more than that... I am saving money for Triumph Tiger, but it will take time... so before that I need to but ₹ 4 lacs category bike. Can you please advise? Thank you... Vaibhav
