This Album is the most violent, ignant, mysogonist record ever! It was even too much for 1991. Thats why Ren doesnt get the credit for the masterpieces he performed and wrote. However Dre production was going straight pre chronic.
I was 12 when this was released in the UK and it was banned for quite a while. It is ignorant abd way over the top, but the album’s incredible. I actually prefer it to Straight Outta Compton.
The lyrics were much more raw when cube left and Ren took over. Cube was saving the raw shit for his solo career. This album was my favorite NWA album. Ren solicited west coast gangsta rap fully with this album. Dre used that whole recipe to make The Chronic later. Them and Comptons Most Wanted really brought a west coast sound that I miss
