Jellyfish own the ocean long before humans even existed. Which species is the one doing the "taking over". Human or Jellyfish?

if there are less fish in the oceans, more jellyfish bloom, i guess its the humans fault for making it happen but the jellyfish that is taking over

The fact that they keep calling them "fish" or "creatures" seems to miss the point that these entities probably have more in common with plants.....Just like corals , that also bloom at certain times . Plants are after all also able to regenerate new "limbs" ......

    • @rustyshackleford9888
      @rustyshackleford9888 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Yep, many scientists nowadays leave out the "fish" part of their name to avoid confusion about their relationship to fish. But jellies and corals (cnidarians) are animals, and are more closely related to all other animals than they are to plants. Blooms of jellies are obviously different from flowers blooming...just the same term. And the way cnidarians regenerate is very different from how plants regenerate. However many cnidarians, especially corals, have developed symbiotic relationships with photosynthetic algae that are housed in their bodies, so some cnidarians are plant-like in a way! But these creatures definitely have more in common with us than they do plants.

That said, they're not related to plants. They're Cnidarians, and Cnidarians are part of the animal kingdom. We studied this phyllum a lot in biology class.

I actually had to google it 🤫
Then for first i thought what a wonderful differenciation, because i thought its a differenciation about the origin of the toxin. Animal or not, so that would include for example a mean Person= venomous in opposite to inviromental or plant toxins= Poison.
Unfortunately i was wrong and found out its just about If its injected or not. That in my opinion is a little silly to differenciate.
It could be both ways the same substance and you had to differenciate it.
I really hope im wrong again.
      Sry for my bad english.
I cant really describe what i want so say.🙃

I like to call different jellyfish stages after their shape and name?
For example the larva of the jellyfish polyp is what I like to call the swimming egg,!
And the polyp stage of the jellyfish will be called jolyp, this is a initial term for jellyfish polyps to avoid confusion, because when some people thought of polyps, they usually think about anemone or coral polyps, but if say jolyp? That mean’s jellyfish polyp, and it is a good way to sometimes rename or initialize different animal stages!?
And the strobilla stage of the jellyfish will be called the plate stack stage, because as the jellyfish polyp gets enough food it can change to unique form called the strobilla, and it looks like a bunch of dinner plates stacked on top of each other, but it doesn’t aways work for all species of jellies, because the strobilla stage changes for different species, and depends on the shape of the jellies, for example the box jellyfish will have a strobilla stage that looks like it has boxes stacked on top of each other.
And that’s it for this text for today.

If you thought that overpopulated jellyfish blooms in the water are bad enough!
Imagine the destruction the jellyfish can cause if they started flying out of the water and into the air would be worse?
Because the area of the air in the atmosphere is larger than the ocean, and if jellyfish somehow becomes amphibious and reproduces as well in the air as well as they are in the water, and these air blooming swarms will shut down air conditioners and air planes, and this is a good thing jellyfish do not fly out of the water, like a fish, or else we will be sky deep in jellyfish?!

The best animal candidates to become super villains are jellyfish? Why?
Because jellyfish have all these awesome unique traits that jellyfish that make jellyfish perfect super villains,
Such as, cheating death(example T dorii),
    Rapid reproducing and cloning,
And self farming for microorganisms(mainly algae),
Rapid growth from microscopic to giant (within a year),
    And many more?
I already thought about this idea for pac man and the ghostly adventures?
But you can actually do this in any series, including making new shows or movies, about jellyfish invading the surface world.
And that’s what I(Ryan VD) like to call,a rapid reproductive(and mindless, because jellyfish have no brains) mayhem.

The dude narrating is very annoying / irritating .. just show the content. Omg. He’s so concerned with getting his camera time , interrupting things that don’t need to cut away to show his face ... even the way he sounds is difficult to sit through. I love the footage and content , just really don’t need these people and their commentary. What’s this one dude on forensic files trying to be in the witness wildlife protection program with his face blacked out ? Who’s he afraid of being able to see his face ? Hahah lord have mercy 😂😂. I just honestly prefer the documentaries to have simple informative narration , while just showing the relevant content ,only... no offense to the dude narrating , I have misophonia and it’s very sensitive to hear certain sounds , tones and inflections or noises and it’s not something I can help.. he just has overly dramatic flamboyantly over the top inflections snd phrasing/ cadence and it’s just drawn out and annoying. Just show the content. Stop trying too hard to come off like some big deal / wannabe journalist or narrator. It’s bad when people are so obviously reading a script and feel the need to use that same typical cadence as all the rest of the ppl trying to come off in such a (what they think is ) professional way. Idk , maybe some folks Won’t get it , in terms of what it sounds like and why it’s irritating 😂 but it just is. It’s always either some loud overly dramatic narrator or someone who Can’t read a script with any natural , authentic flow to it , struggling to enunciate and pronounce things with fluidity ... meanwhile , o just don’t care about seeing these ppl being interviewed. I’d much rather see the jelly fish as often as possible in a documentary that’s discussing them and this could’ve been much better. The footage is very clear and beautiful when it’s showing them.
