This whole scene hits so hard, especially seeing the Titanic and the Twin Towers together, of course this was before the ship was rediscovered and before 9/11. Which is enough to shed a tear.
We all know this isn't possible, yet it's still moving seeing a dream universe of the Titanic reaching New York. The appearance of the Twin Towers makes it. Two icons of a better world
Until Bob Ballard made his discovery in 1985 this scenario would have been what everyone would have wanted to see. It’s just unfortunate that last year’s incident with OceanGate Titan and five more casualties might convince people best not to do this.
I always wonder what they did with the ship after this is the universe, museum? Was she scrubbed and repaired and made into a floating museum or taken home to the scrapping yard?

This film was awful, except for John Barry’s beautiful score and this scene - looking at the ship against the backdrop of the Twin Towers knowing what we know now is just so poignant 😕
Why are they bringing it up the Easter River? there we've been all kinds of fire boats shooting streams of water..most likely to one of the remaining piers on the Hudson River, where originally she would have arrived
Basically everyone who testified said the ship broke in half but because they took the word of two important people in the water they concluded that it sank intact.
@@gabschasse600 that is true but the artist did not draw what Jack Thayer actually witnessed, and in his interviews he said that the drawing did not reflect what he saw, nor what he said.
To see the titanic and the twin towers meet each other is so heartbreaking
It’s quite poignant
Imagine a modern day version of the story; the current state of the wreck and the Freedom Tower…
Thought that ,too .
It shows that we’ll never learn from our mistakes
@@LuisAngelSantosit's just called One World Trade Center. Freedom Tower is cringey af.
This scene just hits hard, seeing her finally make it...
Totally agree.
Olympic was close enough
Hollow, without 1500 passengers and crew.
@@ricardohuante4729dude thats not olympic Olympic has better vuew and Titanic has not better view on bow
Imagine the survivors of the titanic saw this happening in nyc
This scene really hits me in the feels. The Titanic finally made it to New York. And I loved seeing those boats and ships welcome her into the harbor.
There is something about it. Seeing her finally arrive
@@ajsmovieplace thank you for arriving me to New York
A truly historic, once-in-a-lifetime occasion.
Although it would be impossible, seeing her finally complete her voyage is heartwarming.

John barrys score. Is amazing
It is indeed
John Barry's music is wonderful. The theme from this movie, Somewhere in Time and Out of Africa to name but a few, but these three are my favourites.
She finally Completed her 1st Voyage
I imagineLady Liberty saying ...." Hey ,Girl - 'bout time ! Welcome to the big apple ! "
👌
A great scene love this
It certainly is 👍

What an amazing scene truly moving the titanic finally reaching its final location.
👌👌👌
2:13 "well better late than never"
that's sad the worlds most beautiful ship made it to new york with no passengers 💔💔
no she has the souls of her crew and passengers on bored they made it
Actually That ship sunk
1:37 for those who don’t know the 2 large buildings behind the 1st funnel are the twin towers which were destroyed in 2001
If there are any ghosts on the titanic that can only rest if she finishes here voyage. It’s time for you to finally rest
If only that was the real Titanic in that condition rather than broken in parts sitting decaying rapidly on the ocean floor.
Realistically, had the Titanic disaster not happen then it would have been scrapped a long time ago.
@@jonathanlandau-litewski7405 likely it would have been put into service just like Olympic in the war then scrapped.
To think if this was real
it would be crazy to see Titanic and the 2 tinws at the same time
Wouldn’t it just
Finally im there ❤️❤️❤️
It hits hard to see her complete her maiden voyage, even if it is fictional.
They didn't find any byzanium but they did find a drawing of a woman wearing only a diamond on the ship.
🤣🤣😉👍
Titanic and World Trade Center together!
As the saying goes better late then never
I always wonder what they did with the ship after this is the universe, museum? Was she scrubbed and repaired and made into a floating museum or taken home to the scrapping yard?
I’d like to think restored and opened as a museum.

its just sad that she never made it😭

Why are they bringing it up the Easter River? there we've been all kinds of fire boats shooting streams of water..most likely to one of the remaining piers on the Hudson River, where originally she would have arrived
In the book, she was docked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and I would assume this was also followed through in the movie.
@sabretooth1997 would make sense. Not that they show that.
It’s more cinematic to have that final
Shot be iconic. With the twin towers in shot
Is this Titanic or RMS Olympic?
Titanic. From the movie ‘Raise the Titanic ‘
@@ajsmovieplace ok thx
Did somebody forget that the RMS Titanic split in half as she sank?
The truth about the sinking wasn’t known until the wreck was discovered in 1985.
The film and clip here was made in 1980/81

That's not the Titanic. The Titanic had 4 smokestacks that only has 3
1 fell off
Yeah,,one funnel broke off as she sank,,but the base is clearly visible
