You need to hear Awadema Fever lol. It was BabyMetals response to being referred to as "bubblegum rock". Probably the most polite middle finger in metal history.

Great Reaction! I was at the concert in person in 2017 and was very worried about YuiMetal because she was drenched in sweat and looked pale. But she is a pro and danced through to the end. Seeing her last performance is a memory I will never forget. I still pray for her health and happiness.
The masks the Western Kami wear is due to the fact that they are just the touring musicians - They don’t have any creative input in BM music as of yet. And they all have other projects/bands they are in when BABYMETAL aren’t touring. And because of this they can swap out musicians if need be. For example: Clint has been playing with Erra so they had Ryan Neff play a few shows. Then when Ryan went on tour with Miss May I, they got Matt Deis from All That Remains to fill in. And besides the Masks keeps some of that early BABYMETAL lore alive.
Nothing better than a Kami band intro before a BABYMETAL song, the guys just rule the stage. Edit: one thing is better, when the ladies emerge from the deep.

Every time I watch Yui's last show it breaks my heart. Dancing was her whole life and she was phenomenal at it, that's why I think she is not in a good place right now. I hope I'm wrong. Eternal love to Yui. Eternal love to Momo. Eternal love to East Kami and West Kami. BABYMETAL wouldn't be what it is without all of them ❤🤘🦊
Great song... I just learned BabyMetal are doing a sideshow from the Knotfest in my city of Brisbane, Australia on March 4th, I bought tickets instantly.
Great reaction! "Yava!" is such a great song! Ska-Metal at its finest 🤣Most funny choreo ever! With the Legend MM performance I wondered, how on earth Su, Moa, and Momo could pull off that insanely high level of cuteness with just their entry... it almost felt like they were 18, 16, and 16 again. One of their best performances! Momo is a grandmaster in doing facial expressions 😉IMHO, she was the greatest thing that could happen to BABYMETAL after all these years as a duo. I saw it, too, when I watched "Yava!" from the Big Fox performance for the first time, that Yui was in a different "state", slower, not that accurate like she used to dance, heavily sweating. When you watch earlier performances you could compare. At her best times she danced with the speed and precision of a machine, always moving exactly on beat, hence her nickname "Yuibot". That, and due to her lags during social interactions, interviews etc., which is always funny to watch. Beware, she will take your soul with her deadly-cute camera stare! 😄 But she will give it back to you, purified, and filled with joy. Especially if she speaks in the interview you watch. One of the most soul soothing voices I ever heard. Yui is, IMHO, the most Kawaii Metal person on planet Earth 🍅🦊
Shade my man you have become such a student of Babymetal. I am impressed. This was another fantastic reaction and I just loved hearing you really get down into the Babymetal weeds. Babymetal from very early on has had a barrage of haters. And I loved your breakedown of what they're doing while Babymetal is rocking this arena. Insightful and funny. Early on when this BS was really flying BM were accused among other things of just doing bubblegum rock. Their comeback was "Awadama Fever" literally one of the heaviest songs ever. And it's about bubblegum. Go Babymetal.
I was there during the stream And I don’t remember if someone mentioned this, but Clint Tustin (west KamiBand bassist) used to be a guitarist and he basicallly plays the bass as if it was a guitar, so he usually delivers sound and groove in a different way than most people expect. So yeah, he is not Boh in a crab stance, but he is amazing in his own way.
Clint Tustin has a presence on TH-cam and in what is, I would guess from memory, about 10 to 20 guitar playthroughs on his channel, I don't recall a bass playthrough amongst them. Tustin is primarily a guitarist, which accounts for his unusual bass playing style. However, it is testament to Clint's ability as a musician to hold down the bassist position in one of the most talented and technical bands going around and isn't really a bassist. Phenomenal talent.
Nice as always, thanks! "YAVA!" is one of my favorite songs and I thought I would never get it live... so, I was stoked when they performed it at Legend-MM. Barone is my favorite drummer right now and he's among my very top favorite drummers of all time (also is Aoyama). And I'm quite picky about drummers. 😁 🤘🦊
This is the last Babymetal show The big fox festival which was a series of five shows with different requirements for each one Yuimetal appeared in in the early fall of 2017
I feel like Moa was crouching lower and laughing when they were rising from the floor because she was thinking "this is how smol I was last time I performed this". Yui did something similar in a video where the girls visited the place they performed when just starting out that held like 50 or so people. I think it was 50 anyway. 🤘🦊🤘
If you haven't already seen it, they had an earlier song that had a similar inspiration. The song Awadama Fever is supposedly inspired by a critic saying they were "bubble gum".
Love the courography in this song. The expressions are just so adorable. One statement mentioned in the stream " this has never been performed since Yui left." it was performed at LMG with Riho Sayashi as the Avenger . 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
If I remember correctly Mikio's guitar is now in the possession of and being played by fellow Kami Band member Takayoshi Ohmura. It was given to him by Mikio's wife after his death
Well to be fair, this was the last Yui performance, and while she used to be the best dancer, she is clearly not in top form physically here. I wish he would have mentioned that for people who might not know instead of just pointing out the times Moa did better
KAGEROU Live from Legend Metal Galaxy. Anthony unleashed absolute hell in the intro! Also check out Road of Resistance and Ijime, Dame, Zettai from the same show, all avengers and BOTH Kami bands performed at the same time in those songs.
thank you for reacting to one of my favourite songs! this song is soo catchy, fun and goes heavy. I also cant help but smile to this song too because pf the funny choreography. If you need another song awadama fever is good one too
Hello me who watched the 7 hour livestream. Yava! a Ska-Metal song. Essentially a song about one who can't handle experiencing something different or new. At least that's how interpret it. Babymetal songs can always be interpreted in many different way. The Big Fox Festival 2017 version is the first time this song got a Kami Band intro. That's definitely one of my favorite Kami Band intro and one of my favorite Babymetal songs. By the way, a small correction on the title, the second video is from "Legend MM 2024", Momo's birthday show. Not her 1st official show. Babymetal usually have names for their concert, but sometimes it's too long so people call it by their venue. For example, "Legend MM" show at Yokohama Arena, not to be confused with "Babymetal Begins" show at PIA Arena MM. Anyway, keep going! 🦊🦊🦊
When i`m tired or sad, i take my guitar and play "YAVA!". And it makes me happy. Musically and in choreo type it reminds me children songs from old soviet TV-programs of my childhood. As for East and West Kamis - they`re different because of their musicall base. Wests are rock/metal musicians, and Easts are first of all jazz/rock/fusion guys. And of cours we need to see faces again. The masks appeared after Mikio`s death, i can understand why. BM made them less personal to avoid probable losses (IMO, maby i`m wrong). Also there is something different with production. For example Anthony Baron`s drums sound great but i feel it bit overcompressed (maybe he uses triggers) and it hides some part of dynamics in his playing. Think he would shine better with not so tight mixing. Just my opinion. Thanks for that one!
I love this song SO much.. Many people have said this is their favorite choreography. It's definitely up there. Love Momo to bits, but still miss our dear Yui.
Her nickname was Yui Bot because her dancing was so precise you can see the difference, I feel terrible for her because I know from personal experience how much a back injury literally affects everything you do or can no longer do.
@@justmessingaround12 You mean "Yuibot"? The lag was the other reason 😉 Main reason was, that you often can´t say if there was a deviation between two identical moves she did. Precision of a machine.
Yeah, we don't know if it's a back issue, but it seems the most likely of all. Which for example would explain 'she is fine' in regular life, but can't return to doing Babymetal touring as eventually her problems could come back.
Yeah! This is how I love to end my day. One of my favorite songs!! Simply a blow to the hearts of metal scholars! xD Great reaction once again, Kitsune. Remember to react to Syncopation live. It's just perfect! See you! 🤟🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
I prefer all the old songs that were performed recently than when they were performed years ago. Firstly because Su's vocals are wonderful, with a mature voice, and secondly, I like West Kami's sound more, although I really like Boh.
Regarding the stiffness of Yui's movements: I even found it more obvious while seeing the footage from their 2017 Summersonic gig. It, somehow, felt awkward to see her dancing but only with the announciation of her absense at "Legend XX" it ringed at me back then.
I love the East and West Kami Bands equal, i only wish they get rid of the Masks and position them a little bit more in the Spotlight, they really deserve it to shine :).
Another Babymetal song you need to check out is Awadama Fever from the second album Metal Resistance it's about bubble gum and traveling in a mint flavor time machine and they haven't done it live in a while which is strange to me

@@holliwouldifshecould I think i am going to listen to Elevator Girl this afternoon on my twitch stream! I think someone recommended it as a funny second song to listen to after the new Electric Callboy song that came out today called "Elevator Operator"
RIP Mikio Fujioka 😢❤✝️ last show with YUI , and last time KamiBand wearing White costume in Oct2017 . on Dec2017 they wearing Black Costume for the first time at Legend-S SU 20 Birthday concert
the whole Legend MM is spectacular .. impeccable audio and image Anthony's solo on Kagerou intro is next level (just to remember give me goosepumps) Love Metali intro too MetaTaro with Momo on day2 is just so fun (and some little growls) BxMxC is so badass .... I think all the show is the best part 😂
Yava! is my personal number one favourite Babymetal song, so it's always fun to see people react to it. Even though it's pretty popular, I think it's still underrated. I had been waiting years to see it live in person, as they don't perform it all that often these days, but I was lucky enough to be at Legend MM to finally get to experience it live and boy oh boy did it live up to expectations. I was right down the front in the pit in front of Momo, so I had an amazing view of the performance. One point of correction regarding the video title, Legend MM (March 2-3 2024) was not Momo's first official show. PIA Arena Day 2 (April 2 2023) (Babymetal Begins Clear Night) was her first official show. The mixed feelings people have about the Western Kami don't have anything to do with their skill, it's more to do with the fact that the OG Kami Band were a huge part of the golden era of Babymetal when they blew up and the technical chops of Mikio, Takayoshi, Leda, Boh, and Hideki went a long way to giving Babymetal legitimacy that they might have otherwise struggled to attain, so there is a lot of gratitude and attachment to them for their contribution to Babymetal's success. The other reason is that back in those days, the Kami were able to have a lot more individuality and presence on stage, so fans became more familiar with and connected to them. The introduction of the masks really created a barrier between the fans and the Kami, which is why the masks are pretty universally hated by the fans, but also why I think Koba introduced them. He has always wanted the focus to be 100% on the girls, and he must have felt like the Kami were getting too much attention from fans. I also think that the decision to introduce the Western Kami created a need to make the band more anonymous since they would be using two sets of musicians at different times. As a result of this, the fans have never developed the same connection with the Western Kami that they did with the OG Kami, particularly as the Kami Band's role has been pushed more into the background in recent times. The Kami for Legend MM were the core Western Kami Band members who have been with Babymetal since 2019: Chris Kelly (first guitar solo), CJ Masciantonio (second guitar solo), Clint Tustin (bass), and Anthony Barone (drums). Regarding the Yui fall incident, no-one outside of Team Babymetal knows the truth and they're not talking, so anything you hear is a guess. There is some pretty poor fancam footage that I found here: th-cam.com/video/wX4MWYFsldU/w-d-xo.html but it's not that clear (Yui falls at around 2:34 and is visible at 2:42). If there was any proshot footage of the incident, it was never released. Here is a diagram of what happened based on accounts of fans who were there to help contextualize the video: imgur.com/xBKVZwf What is known from written fan accounts of the incident is that apparently Yui somehow fell off the stage during Headbangerrr!!! and was missing for the remainder of the song. Apparently some fans close to where she fell saw it happen and called out. Su and Moa carried on and completed Headbangerrr!!! without Yui and then there was a long delay before they all reappeared to close the show with IDZ. Incidentally, Moametal also fell over at Budokan, but didn't fall off the stage completely: instagram.com/p/lBf1vQv_Ph/ The theory that Yui was suffering from a back injury does seem to have some merit, but it's impossible to know if it originated with the fall at Budokan Red Night. I think that if you watch videos throughout the 2014-2017 era, Yui seems pretty happy up until 2016, but in 2017, she looks more serious and less animated in photos and live performances, which makes me wonder if she was working through discomfort at that time. I've also seen some speculation that Yui was actually wearing a back support during the Fox Festivals, because she looked a bit thicker around the torso and seemed, as you observed, to be less mobile than she would normally be. She also looked a bit puffy in the face at that time so it's possible she was taking anti-inflammatory steroids to manage an injury. If it was a back injury, they can take a long time to heal, and in some cases never do. If that was the issue, it might explain why she never returned, and hasn't done any other performing since either. There is another theory that I have heard from the Japanese fan community that doesn't get mentioned much in the English speaking fanbase, which is that Yui's stepdad really didn't like her being an idol and when she got hurt, he put his foot down and said no more Babymetal and that's the real reason she never came back. No idea if there is any truth to it, but the Japanese fans seem to think it's possible. I don't really think that Yava! is actually a clapback against anyone. That's just not a Japanese thing to do and it's not consistent with what the girls have said in interviews over the years when they have been asked about their critics. They have always expressed thanks to anyone that has take the time to listen to their music, and they have always promised to try to do better to win them over the future, so being snarky doesn't really seem like the kind of response they would go for. I think that Yava! is a song about celebrating difference and uniqueness and rejecting the idea that being different is bad. I think the song is Babymetal acknowledging that they are different, particularly as women doing metal, and gently pushing back against the idea that being different is wrong in a similar way to what they did about gender expectations in Megitsune.
The song with the vaguest lyrics in their entire discography by far is probably not them doing something neither they nor Koba, in multiple interviews over the years, have ever done: shit-talking and mocking others.
Nice reaction🦊🤟 Everytime enjoy from Japan🥳🎵 Place check out Kagerou - Kamiband intro (Legend MM 2024 Live) Believing (Legend MM 2024 Live) Anthony Barone Beneath The Massacre - Rise of the Fearmonger next☝️
I don’t know your wife, but if she is like every other women I know in RL or seen in YT, she would join in the adoration of cuteness and warm feelings for the Babymetal girls. 😅 Male or female it seems we are equally affected by this 😂
If you loved the messaging here, try 'Awadama Fever', which is about a mint flavoured time machine with bubble gum... It came out in 2016. Many fans speculate this is a response to the bullshit that they were 'bubble gum metal', so we like to think Babymetal shrugged their shoulders and just wrote a song instead.😊 They're far too classy to confirm this. Some versions have a Kami intro, so look for that too.
Yeah you can see that Yui couldn't do her best for whatever the reason might be on her last show. It's even more evident when you compare her dancing from this performance to the performance they did in Yokohama in 2015 (my favorite show from Yui era of babymetal btw) where Yui is absolutely on fire.
Personally I noticed at this concert that Yui's face appeared bloated and if true I wonder if it may have been the result of steroid or cortisone medication. In addition for a long time there were rumors that at this show she may have been wearing a back brace. The first comment was a personal observation while the brace comment was based on rumor and speculation. We all wish Yui good health and happiness
Personally, i had seen the photo of ‘yui wearing a back brace’. And to me, that definitely looks like she’s wearing something the costume. Unless she was planning to go swimming afterwards, and wearing a life jacket. -Ahah, all jokes.
Thank you for taking up YABA! The first video, YAVA, was recorded when Yui-chan was in really poor health and was said to have back and back pain. Even in such terrible condition, she never stopped smiling, and is such a good dancer that she is called the "Angel of Dance", a dancer that we all love, and watching her dance to the best of her ability brings tears to my eyes. She is completely lacking in her usual sharpness and looks somewhat painful and in pain, but it was a touching performance to see her desperately trying to keep up with Suu-chan and Moa-chan... I think it's nonsense to compare the East Kami Band of that time with the West Kami Band of today, but I still love the old East Kami Band!! There was a greater sense of unity as a "band". Everyone looks like they're having a lot of fun, and more than anything, they exude an atmosphere that says "this is BABYMETAL".
I was at that venue in 2017. But since I was seated very far back, I didn't realize how spicy YUIMETAL was💦 Shade-san and Ranmaru-san thank you ☆彡 It's really nostalgic☆彡 I love both east and west♪
@ I was there too! I was relatively close to the front, so I could easily notice that Yui-chan's performance and expression were clearly different from those in 2016... It was very painful... I also love both the East and West God Bands!! But that's why I want to see the East God Band again.
@@メイノア蘭丸 Ranmaru-san was there! ! Amazing☆彡 BABYMETAL is what captivates both my mates back then and my current fans☆彡 That's why I love Ranmaru-san, everyone who posts here, and Shade-san♪
Personally, I feel that the OG BabyMetal and the new line up are totally different beasts and the best decision KobaMetal could have made was to close one chapter and reset with the new iteration. The original trio were so professional at such a young age that it totally caught me off guard and I totally fell in love with their crazy energy and innocence in their songs. It couldn’t last though, even if Yui stayed because they are true adults now and their music is more mature and complex. I will always adore the first two BM albums because they bring me so much happiness and they were the perfect tonic for me at a dark time. With Momo now a full member, BM is complete again but seem to be less strict in their on stage presence. They look like they are having so much fun now and the audience interaction is so much better. I always used to enjoy Yui and Moa going a little off sync when they were younger but Moa and Momo amaze me with how tight their choreography is now. I love them in a different way now and my Kitsune could not be held any higher.
One of my favorite songs :D! I think you should also check out awadama fever as they have very similar vibes, awadama fever is basically just another song to stick it to the metal elitist that called them "bubblegum metal"
when they dig deep to find your mistakes (diffrence), that means you are good from the start they look at it nice reaction and happy to see you get the sarcasm
🍑 ⚡ 💕 / 🤔 The official lyric is "ヤバッ!" (Yaba!), which is a clipped form of "yabai". Originally, "yabai" meant "dangerous", but in this song and popular usage, it is also used as an exclamation. "Oh no!" is a pretty good equivalent in English. Aside from the solos from Su, 'YAVA!' is my favorite track from the Metal Resistance album. And some of my favorite BABYMETAL choreography. There are groups that have spent years trying to make sludgy ska metal sound good, and BABYMETAL pulls it off the first time. I would have done a whole album like that, but they moved on to the next thing. : ) As Du-Metal says on his translation page, "The meaning of the lyrics is vague, obscure & ambiguous."
Ahhhhh.... collecting Yui photos that was fun tho... at Korn tour was the best. 🐰🎀 Moa is cute against Gifs! 🐰🎀 Oh, btw there is Yui solo! ♬ th-cam.com/video/bLo87ufKZdA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aKyr_uFoN8gkc_7s
If Yuimetal ever browses herself on youtube, she’s always going to find an outpouring of love and best wishes for her, no matter how many years pass. We love you Tomato Princess! ❤ Be happy on what you do!
She would also be disgusted with some others. Some ‘Yuibro’s. I would rather her not look herself up on the internet, or any social media. Because some people just don’t know when to quit. 🍅
@@justmessingaround12i mean you're gona get that weirdness everywhere on the internet no matter what the person. There's waaaay more positive love toward her though so I think that's what makes it safe.
For me, YAVA is still one of Babymetal's best and most fun songs and, sorry, but nobody beats the original Kamis for me. :) Maybe it's really because of the masks and that the guys of the Western Kamis just can't be themselves. They are amazing players and surely quite a bit heavier with their sound, but the OG's have so much more character, stage presence, and also their playing together sounds more like a unit (imo). 🤷🏻♂ As for Yui and her movement, you're not alone. It's already been speculated here and there that she was in poor health and could only do the show with the help of strong medicine. But there is no confirmation as far as I know. Speaking of Kamis and Boh (and the bit of A. Barone fanboying 😂) .... Actually, it's only indirectly related, but it's hard to miss that you seem to have a soft spot for bass players. :) Today another Japanese band (yes, big surprise!) *ASTERISM* released a new song called 'Crescendo' and an MV to go with it. It's a trio consisting of 2 brothers and a 'reasonably good' 😈guitarist. One of the brothers plays the bass, and I'm just saying 7-string. I have a feeling you could like them. _____________________ ⟬ _"America invented rock. England improved it. Awesome reaction as always Shade-metal!!! Yava! Is one of my all time favorite songs from Babymetal. Yeah, about the East v West Kami argument: I believe most people just miss the East Kami's expressions and their quirks on stage more than they do their sound. Honestly I'd say West Kami sounds better to my ears, but that's just my preference and recency bias speaking (I'm no musician nor an expert in musical stuff so... I'm just a fan) Although I do believe BOH is better than Clint Tustin at the Bass... Buuut Anthony to me is the better drummer between him, Hideki and Yuya. Either way I absolutely adore both Kami bands, each one of them has earned their place as Metal Gods, no doubt about it! Btw, since you've reacted to Yava! now... May I suggest my personal favorite song from them? Babymetal clap backs are so adorable. We're going to talk sh*t about you, and you won't even know it. In Japan, they often sing words like parira, which have no meaning, and are just there to carry a melody. And they look like words, but aren't. Also just for note, the way they do kami intros, with each musician getting a solo, that's an old jazz tradition. And I like the Western Kami better, and I've seen both multiple times. The Eastern Kami are more nuanced; the Western bring the aggression, crunchy if you will, and I prefer that. They are both supremely talented.
The West Kami band hate is only because people don't like that they wear masks. People need to get over it. They actually sound a lot heavier and chunkier than the original Kami band, which I prefer. And I'll take the preferable sound over faces any day of the week.
@@emb5091 they certainly have had more chances of showing what they can do in recent years. From like 2019-2022 they only did the Kagerou solo handful of times. Now they allowed to do a lot more.
Nah, let's be honest, the East Kami has more talented musicians, beside Hideoki, just because Barone is tha Breast! But touring with BABYMETAL these "new" guys improved a lot, like reaaaaally a lot. And I agree. They sound heavier, I mean it's not a mystery that their live version of RATATATA is heavier than the one played by ECB. 🤘🦊⚡
They never stopped performing Yava!, they just rarely do it. They stopped doing it when they were a duo and started doing it again when they introduced the avengers. Also, I think Yui's health issue is burnout. Her body simply can't handle the hectic non-stop schedule and performing so much. I've noticed too that she became a lot skinnier as she got older, noticeably skinnier than Moa too. This is all just a maybe, only my observations. As long as she's happy and healthy wherever she is, that's all that matters.
Not sure where you were looking she got skinnier because for all 5 Fox festival shows she was much more puffy faced and her costume seemed tighter, which was the main reasons fans have speculated she was being treated for a back injury that stemmed from her fall from the catwalk during the 2014 Budokan show that got progressively worse as time went on. From the stills taken from this concert in particular you can see the tighter costume appears to show the outline of a back brace underneath, this coupled with her more restrictive choreography (very noticeable she doesn't bend as much or move as quick as she did in previous years) and the fact that a bloated appearance is a side effect of steroid use to treat injury and help with movement. This leaves a very plausible reason that a back injury caused her to leave as it was just too difficult to perform any more, but due to Japanese culture on privacy we'll likely never know the true reason.
We'll never know for sure... I just noticed her being skinnier because I've been rewatching old concerts and saw her arms, legs, and neck being skinnier as she got older. All speculation.

BABYMETAL wouldn't be what it is without all of them ❤🤘🦊
Your absolute right. I really hope shes fine and can enjoy her Life out of the Spotlight.
👍Awesome performances😁🔥😁. Wish Yui well. Momo makes BABYMETAL complete.🦊 🖖❤
Momo-metal has the best surprise eyes!!
This is easily one of my favourite songs of BABYMETAL and the choreo is so fun to watch.
Great song...
I just learned BabyMetal are doing a sideshow from the Knotfest in my city of Brisbane, Australia on March 4th, I bought tickets instantly.
I mean, you just have to! lol One of the folks in my patreon is going to the Brisbane show too and IM JEALOUS
You stopped the frames in perfect moments! Those faces! Adorable! 🙂
BABYMETAL's "Awadama Fever" is supposedly a middle finger to the haters too. 🤘🦊🤘
And it also has a great Kami band intro!
Another great song with a great kami band intro is my favorite Baby Metal song Kagerou
YAVA BY BABYMETAL:-
I love this song because I love the SKA genre. YAVA fuses SKA and Metal. Very underrated song cos, not many reactors react to this because of copyright issue. Some in the Metal community didn't even knew that the SKA genre existed unless you listen to Sublime, Pepper, No Doubt and other bands that play the SKA genre. The Kami Band is brilliant and brutal but skip the Intro. Yuimetal aka Yui Mizuno last performance was at "Big Fox Festival in Japan at Osaka-Jo hall" on 15th Oct. 2017. This is Momometal first YAVA performance since becoming BABYMETAL official member. Enjoy your reaction. Thanks for reacting to this. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.
YAVA!
YAVA! is a song from BABYMETAL's second original album, METAL RESISTANCE.
Information:-
•Artist: BABYMETAL
•Album: BABYMETAL
•Lyrics: NAKAMETAL, Mk-metal, Kxbxmetal
•Composition: Norimetal
•Arrangement: Yuppemetal
This tune was performed for the first time on 2015 Jun. 21st at Makuhari Messe, Chiba. Since then, it was tentatively called "Chigau". The Japanese title is "ヤバッ!" (= yaba!) and this word is sometimes jokingly written as "ヤヴァッ!" (= yava!).
The meaning of the lyrics is vague, obscure & ambiguous. This is the same old way of Japanese popular songs. If the singers are attractive enough, the fans can freely enjoy whatever fantasies they like with such vague lyrics. I don't think there is the true story and the lyric writer has hidden it, so I hope the listeners think freely what differs how from what.
This is some of my favourite SKA BAND:-
1. Reel Big Fish - Sell Out (1996)
2. Mighty Mighty Bosstone - The Impression That I Get (1997)
3. Suicide Machines - Skankin' Pickle - Song #3 (1997)
4. Kemuri (Japanese Ska Band) - Positive Mental Attitude (P.M.A) (1998)
5. The Pietasters - Out All Night (1997)
6. Spring Heeled Jack - Jolene (1998)
7. Slapstick - Eighteen (1997)
8. Rancid - Time Bomb (1995)
9. Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra from Japan - Skaravan.
This are from the 90s mainly because I was born in the 70s.

Appreciate you! Thank you. This was such a fun song from beginning to end!
Clint still is a guitarist in a band called Erra.
@gaplauche That's right, I realize it could not be very clear by the way I redacted my last comment
🤘🦊
This is the last Babymetal show The big fox festival which was a series of five shows with different requirements for each one Yuimetal appeared in in the early fall of 2017
Great reaction. I knew you will like it. It is so funny they just crashed haters with such cute song
It's cool to see that Shade-metal really understands BABYMETAL and because of that he understands The One. 🤘🦊🤘
Thank you!
🦊🦊🦊
@@JustAFan117 oh I thought this was the first time momo did Yava? Had she done it before?
@@ShadeReactsLive Ah, yes. This is the 1st time she did Yava. I thought the title meant her first show in general. 🤣
I'll watch every reaction that comes up for Yava just to see Moa skip onto the stage❤️🦊
I love this song SO much.. Many people have said this is their favorite choreography. It's definitely up there. Love Momo to bits, but still miss our dear Yui.
I hate to admit this but I like to drive on Interstate I-75 listening to this song and drive, um, above the speed limit. 😂😂😂
It's unnecessarily catchy hahaha
For SURE. My car can't go slower than 80 when this is on my stereo! (This exact version)
It's ironic, because Yava(yabai) means Oh, no! Then a state police stopped you and you will say chigau means it's not.
Her nickname was Yui Bot because her dancing was so precise you can see the difference, I feel terrible for her because I know from personal experience how much a back injury literally affects everything you do or can no longer do.
That’s the reason? I always thought it’s cause she lags IRL. (In interviews, etc…) I wish the best for the tomato princess. Wherever she is. 🍅
Great double reaction ... but I'm getting some sense of deja-vu that I can't explain.🤔😁
Its probably from a lack of sleep. You keep staying awake until 4am jammin to Babymetal!
@@ShadeReactsLive That could be it😜
I love the East and West Kami Bands equal, i only wish they get rid of the Masks and position them a little bit more in the Spotlight, they really deserve it to shine :).
can't w8 to see kagerou with kami brand anthony is the beast 🔥🔥
Another Babymetal song you need to check out is Awadama Fever from the second album Metal Resistance it's about bubble gum and traveling in a mint flavor time machine and they haven't done it live in a while which is strange to me
This one's my favorite! I usually go for this, "Onedari Daisakusen", "Elevator Girl", and "Kagerou" to wind down 😁
You just named 3 songs I haven't heard yet hahahaha

Love Metali intro too
MetaTaro with Momo on day2 is just so fun (and some little growls)
BxMxC is so badass ....
Incidentally, Moametal also fell over at Budokan, but didn't fall off the stage completely: instagram.com/p/lBf1vQv_Ph/
The theory that Yui was suffering from a back injury does seem to have some merit, but it's impossible to know if it originated with the fall at Budokan Red Night.
Cheking kageru with cami band intro you can see who is anthony barone bro
Kami Band (US) play Star Wars songs very well too. haha
Nice reaction! Yava! has the funniest choreography of BABYMETAL. It's impossible to watch this and not smile.
Nice double reaction..
Awesome song and performance ❤️🦊♩
Awadama Fever is the real clap-back song.
The song with the vaguest lyrics in their entire discography by far is probably not them doing something neither they nor Koba, in multiple interviews over the years, have ever done: shit-talking and mocking others.
So true, i have never heard them talking bad about other people they rise above the haters 😁🤘🏼🦊
Moa playing with "I'm not smol" meme when they are ascending the stage is so priceless.

Yava and Awadama Fever is low-key a middle finger to the haters
I don’t know your wife, but if she is like every other women I know in RL or seen in YT, she would join in the adoration of cuteness and warm feelings for the Babymetal girls. 😅
Male or female it seems we are equally affected by this 😂
This song she would probably like! But 90% of Babymetal is far to heavy for her lol
Thank You for your reaction … Lots of fun … by the way you can go forward or back fram by fram with . and , if you want to see a certain picture
I did know that! I just dont always remember in the moment lol

"That is some power metal' You keep saying that word. But I don't think it means what you think it means.
One of my favourite songs by Babymetal and definitely one of my favourite choreo's! Which still feels wild to say as a metalhead 😆
You chose wisely. Remember you said you were on the fence about it.
The fact that both versions had a kami band intro was pretty sweet. I had to lol
The meaning of "YAVA" in Japanese is"Oh my God!" in English.
BABYMETAL is "YAVA!"
🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥
Yeah you can see that Yui couldn't do her best for whatever the reason might be on her last show. It's even more evident when you compare her dancing from this performance to the performance they did in Yokohama in 2015 (my favorite show from Yui era of babymetal btw) where Yui is absolutely on fire.
Kami band intros always make my day better! I love the drum solo from the Intro for Kagerou the most. the facial expressions are priceless!
@ hmmmm.
I can't wait until you start to react to "Awadama Fever" and the 4 songs from BLACK BABYMETAL.
Love this song & is Princess Moa at PEAK cuteness (Kawai) another song where they play around with genres, big SKA influence on this one.
But since I was seated very far back, I didn't realize how spicy YUIMETAL was💦

I was there too!
! Amazing☆彡

16:51 Don't worry my friend, we've all been stuck in this fun hole for years 😂
I just wanted to remind myself I guess haha
This is one of their best ever live performances!!❤❤❤❤❤
love the thumbnail hahah
THANK YOU! Lol I swear I put more time into the thumbnails than the length of most videos I post lol. Glad you liked it 😂
21:05 Moa's expression always get me 🐨
I agree 🤝
One of my favorite songs :D!
I think you should also check out awadama fever as they have very similar vibes, awadama fever is basically just another song to stick it to the metal elitist that called them "bubblegum metal"
when they dig deep to find your mistakes (diffrence), that means you are good from the start they look at it
nice reaction and happy to see you get the sarcasm
🍑 ⚡ 💕 / 🤔
The official lyric is "ヤバッ!" (Yaba!), which is a clipped form of "yabai".
As Du-Metal says on his translation page, "The meaning of the lyrics is vague, obscure & ambiguous."
You need to see the Kami-band intro in KAGEROU
Ahhhhh.... collecting Yui photos that was fun tho... at Korn tour was the best.
@ True, but i guess ‘Yuibro’s don’t count as real fans to me. The rest of the fandom has been quite accepting of Yui’s departure.
I have only seen positive Yui comments ❤❤
@ Lucky man, there is sadly always gonna be a dark side of every fandom though.
As for Yui and her movement, you're not alone.

Great reaction shade! And I love this song 🦊🤘
Me too!
For more kami band intro, you should react to 'Kagerou'👌
My favorite Babymetal song. It's almost ska-like.
I'm just a fan)
Although I do believe BOH is better than Clint Tustin at the Bass...
Kagerou (Initially known as Tattoo)
This is the Link to "Tattoo" performed live at Download Festival 2018 in the UK:

Yes! Kagerou has been mentioned a lot today! I'll add it to my list!
Tomato princess was definitely not feeling it rather it was physical or mental or both? =( hope shes doing good now whereever she is!
We need moreeeee
pipopapopipopapopiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! (those are trumpets)
The West Kami band hate is only because people don't like that they wear masks. People need to get over it. They actually sound a lot heavier and chunkier than the original Kami band, which I prefer. And I'll take the preferable sound over faces any day of the week.
You said it all!
Is it just me or has West Kami band's solos gotten better and more technical every year?
The hate is even more ridiculous considering that the East kamis also wore masks from 2019 onward.
I love east kami band, that's all
You can't end a BabyMetal video with a weak "See you." Put some sass into it.
SORRY lol
Babymetal world domination .
Great post. 😁
Ha just when you think you have heard it all they bust out some ska infused metal 🤩🤩🦊
In KAGEROU, barone just crushed the drum🔥🔥
