    This is NOT a 10KW (10KVA) Transformer.
    ------------------
    This is a 1 KW 1KVA Transformer.
    The window area Qe, is only 5.34 Inch^2
    Equivalent to a Qe, 5.34 • 2.54^2 = ~ 34.5 cm^2.
    n/V = Qe^2/VA; > 34.5^2 / 1000 = ~1.2 Vin/V
    With your model Haves there is 1.4 vin / V this corresponds to
    Qe on the Square Root of Vin / V • 1KV = SQR 1400 =~37.5 cm~2.
    After all, your surrender is only 5.35 Inch~2 ~ 34.5cm^2
    There also fits a 10 KW transformer within places, since the window's area
    must be: Qe = SQR (vin /V • KW )> SQR (1.4• 10^4) = 118.322 cm^2 = 18.34 inch^2.
    The weight of 10 K fits perfectly. It could be that you could have switched around with Kg and KW. ☺

      Secondary winding of only 2x 0.85 was the give away. Secondary current would be just over 45 amps.

    Where can I purchase one of these larger low frequency, silicone steel laminated core transformers? I have hundreds of PC40 and similar ferrite core transformers but I can't seem to find a seller that doesn't want be to purchase a literal ton's worth of steel sheets... I'd love to know. Thanks.

      I would recommend that you check the wire gauge chart here for the frequency that you'll be switching with. If you'll be switching at low frequencies, larger diameter wires like 18 Ga to 20 Ga can work. If you are switching at high frequencies, TIW or LITZ wire is recommended as these contain many small gauge wires that are each insulated from one another. The higher the switching frequency, the more the 'skin' effect becomes a concern. Too thick wires at higher frequencies will result in inefficient current handling as more and more of the current is carried at the wire surface (hence the skin effect) rather than through the centre of the wire. Check the "Maximum amps for chassis wiring" column for the maximum current allowed and the "Maximum frequency for 100% skin depth for solid conductor copper" column for the maximum frequency permissible to achieve skin depth optimization.

    никогда впринципе этот трансформатор 10 киловатт не переварит. вторичка максимум пережует 800 ватт.ну киловатт кратковременно может и быть..не более.

      Correct, this core is no where near a 10Kva transformer.... I would say 1kva maximum continuous

      There is a DIY 10kva transformer on my channel, I rewound it from 240v to 110v to 240v 5000v the run my Vacuum tube Tesla coil 😅👍👍👍👍

    Not going to get 10KW out of that rather small transformer, it would overheat very quickly. 10 x 0.85mm is only 5.67mm2 for 24VAC winding get no more than about 25Amps, or it will overheat. More like 600VA

      Actually I would recommend drawing half that current from.it. I don't think you understand Ohms Law.

      In fact it is10000W÷24V=416,66A for the primary side, an intensity which the winding shown in the video by no means can withstand. The core area calculation is wrong. This is a 2kVA max. transformer core...A 10kVA transformer core is five times larger than this one...and equally heavier...

      It is from the formula N/E = (10^8)/(4.44*CA*f*Bmax)
      You will get 6 or 7.5 or 9, this depends on Bmax value. Usually at 7.5, Bmax=60,000Guass. The lower Bmax is the high constant is...
      What will this effect the transformer??? The high constant number is, the more turn/volt is and the transformer will be hotter at lower turns/volt.
