A P did a great job this year. He tanked the season trading away Devante Adams and not signing Josh Jacobs. He tanked when he decided to start Minshew over MCConnel. He tanked hiring the worst offensive coordinator in the league. He tanked making horrible play calls throughout the entire season. We have Maxx Crosby and Devante Adams picking head coaches so they can smoke cigars in the locker room and have soul train party boy dance offs at practice. A P isn't running the team, Maxx and Devante ran the team. It's time to tear it down and start over. The only good thing to come out of 2024 is we get the first or second round pick in the 2025 nfl draft.
AP, as a HC doesn't trade anybody away. Telesco makes the trade/sign/no sign decisions, based on what the coaching staff says are needed. So stop blaming AP for everything, up to and including a cloudy sky. At the very least, this was a group decision, including (in Adams case) the HC, GM, OC, and probably the receivers coach. As for JJ, he had some good years, but aside from his one really good year, he has spent a lot of time on the injury list. Most years, he only played 11-12 games, only in one season did he play all the games in a season. Also remember, JJ was offered the same contract by the Raider as he was by the Packers, and went with the Packers. JJ is having a good season this year, however behind a much better OL than we have had recently (recently being defined as since the departure of Gabe Jackson/Rodney Hudson/David Penn/Trent Brown (in his first season only)). We haven't really had an OL that was any good at run blocking since that time. On top of that, from what we saw from Zamir White in the last 4 games last year, it wasn't a big leap to think we had a replacement RB that was potentially better than JJ. It didn't turn out. I would be more prone to put the blame on AP for Getsy. That is essentially what tanked this season for us. Nobody else did more to wreck this season than Getsy. Adams simply couldn't deal with circumstances changing. Whether it be not playing with his favourite QB (Carr), or his own decline, Adams was unhappy, and blamed the team for it. He didn't want to play for the Raiders any more. Do I blame AP for that? No, and nobody should. Adams is in his own head space, and whines and sulks when circumstances change, and blames everybody and anybody for his own lack of performance. Do you think that his production for the Jets in any way comes close to justifying his salary and salary cap hit? I don't. He left to go play with Rodgers. Has his productivity gone up? No, in no way. So do you think we could have won more games with Adams having stayed? I really, really doubt it. If Adams had stayed, Meyers and Bowers would have had far fewer targets because more targets would have gone Adams way. End result would have been pretty much the same, but with him gone, at least we save on next year's salary cap hit, and get a third round pick in return. To be honest, in almost every way, the Raiders are better off without him, and we not only get an additional pick in the third round, but we have enough salary cap space to do pretty much anything we want, up to and including (and I am not in favour of this, just using it as an example) trading for Dak Prescott and his $60M/year salary, and still have over $40M in cap space. None of that will have been true if Adams hadn't been moved out.

No need for personal feelings...AP will get his $7 million if he coaches the Raiders next year or not. Sorry, but your argument here is delusional....not unlike your prediction of 8 or 9 wins this year.
I'll start off with this first. I've been a fan of this organization since 1973. This organization has not won a championship in the last 40 years. The one constant in this sad affair has been ownership of the Raiders. The Davis family has mismanaged this team for that entire 4-decade span. You speak of stability. Let's talk about that. The Pittsburgh Steelers have had 3 head coaches since I've been a fan of the Raiders Noll, Cowher and Tomlin. The Raiders on the other hand have had a total of 18 head coaches since their last championship. Spare the Raider fans your platitude's. This stability you speak of, lies directly at the feet of the Davis family. Period end of discussion. The only way the Raider organization comes in from the wilderness is if Davis sells the team to a new owner or ownership group.
My first year as a fan of this team was 1967, so I hear where you are coming from. However you must remember that the Davis family was in charge during the Super Bowl years also. So I don't necessarily think the team can't win again unless the Davis family sells the team. Its actually quite simple: QUIT hiring coaches every 2 or 3 years. Every time you change the HC, it is a complete restart with no guarantee that the new guy is going to be any better. It sets the organization back 2 or 3 years. STOP IT! Right now, I'd give AP a long term contract and provide the resources to go after a franchise QB. The Steelers don't change head coaches every 2 or 3 years. All I hear now is fans screaming get rid of AP, go get Vrabel, etc., etc. How did that work for Tennessee? He replaced the only coach that ever took them to a Super Bowl (Jeff Fisher). The point is you just don't know. At least with AP you have a coach players will play lights out for and leave it all on the field every game no matter what. A team that sticks together through adversity, grows together and will ultimately persevere. Take that to the bank.
@@KurtAlbers Don't know if you are aware of this but Davis sold off another 25% ownership of the Raiders last week to various minority owners. This is after the Brady purchase. This organization is cash strapped right now. Davis is owner of the LV Aces WNBA team as well and they just opened in the spring of this year a brand-new training facility for the Aces down the street from the Raiders training facility. This cost a considerable amount of money. Davis's attention is split and owning both teams is a huge distraction as he allegedly claims the Raiders are his main focus. Now in my book this is the old adage of "Jack of all trades" "Master of none". This team cannot win consistently year over year if money is an ongoing concern of the owner.

10-7? Bo Nix not being good QB
Give him another 40 yrs , you draft sanders you losing another 5 yrs
Let’s cut the bs. We need a rebuild. We’ve been saying reload for the last 7 years. 4 with Gruden, 1.5 with JMD, and 1.5 with AP. So we need a rebuild. Second. AP has to go. They didn’t even give him a long contract.
Damn Hondo, it's pretty stupid and irresponsible to drink and drive, but you're over the top. Don't bring his parents into this situation.
Sanders is a bad pick if you know how to watch tape
I agree with you. However it sure sounds like Mark and Brady want sanders and sanders wants the raiders. I am afraid that we are going to pick sanders.
Why was it an insult to his parents ? Maybe they were driving impaired the way this owner and front office is killing the nation for 40yrs. WE SHOULD ALL BE DRIVING DRUNK HELL WE SHOULD BE DRUNK ALL DAY EVERY DAY
The players get hurt because the coches put them in position to get hurt with bone head play calls. Bring Gruden back AP is not a head coach!!
Bring Gruden back he is a qb gooroo that can coach him up without Dion being there. There is noone else and AP proved he cant coach and cant pick coaches to succeed in this league. Dump the garbage and get good coaches starting with gruden!!
