    Super info......spent my honeymoon travelling all over Mexico (from West to East)many moons ago when police forces were even arguing. We loved the people and always got to know the locals which was in our favour. I think we were very fortunate to experience Mexican life then and that was without the technology we have today. Of course, we had a few blips but nothing disastrous. We even hitchhiked...not that I would recommend that today. I think it is marvellous that we have different cultures on our continent and most people in any one of those cultures are kind and giving. It's real living folks. Thanks again for updated info.

    thank you kindly for mentioning that Mexico its a developed country with laws and rules, Im tired of the stereotype of a lawless country where crime is rampant, its not perfect but it is, as you mention, a beautiful place.

      Google Maps and Translate have both been indispensable for independent international traveling. And both can be downloaded and run offline (no wifi or 4g).

    Military check point guys can be a riot, we had one guy say “ I found the gun!” I am like WHAT? and he jumps out from behind our trailer with our super soaker squirt gun lol while another is walking around with our English/Spanish dictionary acting like he is trying to understand things . So funny!

    We had to pay bribes when surfing down near Cuatro Casas when there was still only a single track, dirt/washboard road leading there. However, this was in the 80s. A $20 USD left on the driver seat worked like a charm every time.

    Awesome Mitsubishi, never new there was a 4x4 model, i drove a fuso back when i worked in San Diego, i always tought it would make a nice camper, anyways i live in Rosarito, ive gone on camping/Surf trips on different occasions, i would add just not to "wild camp"' near or in san quintin,look for an established campground in that area, further south free for all....

    Thanks a lot for the information about traveling to Mexico I've got a question though how often did y'all see boat ramps

    • @TheTravelingTogetherJournal
      @TheTravelingTogetherJournal 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are many boat ramps. Loreto, la Paz, , Cabo pulmo and Cabo san Lucas all have nice boat ramps, but many of the ramps in other places are rough cobblestone or dirt tracks into the water that I'de only use for a small boat. with a long tung trailer and 4x4 you can also launch small boats straight off the beach.
