My biggest two things I wish I would’ve done sooner that wasn’t listed is drink more water and consume less sugar! Had I realized those two things would really help lessen the amount of acne I was getting, I would’ve jumped on it.
I have two things I wish I would started earlier, in my 20s, that arent on your list. I am 36 now. 1) mist my face with water before applying hyaluronic acid. It really helps keeps my skin plump and moisturized, as if it is drawing the h2o in literally. And 2) apply my eye creams with my chin down while looking up. This method allows me to get into my fine lines and crows feet more efficiently. I do this with my concealer as well, and it helps reduce creasing some what.
Oh my...thank you...I currently apply my HA toner on my wet skin and it really produce much better result than a damp skin..I'm gonna try the 2nd one rn
@Emily Albojer I just use water! Distilled or filtered water if possible. It's more about the mist factor. You don't want a spray bottle, you want a gentle but evenly distributed mist. I use an cleaned out Pixi bottle currently. Just filled with water
I’m 22, I’ve been watching you since 20 and you have made such a difference in my skin! I have silk pillow cases, I’m training myself to sleep on my back, no makeup wipes and sunscreen everyday
Im 26 and started retinoids when I was 24 (Differin, to 0.025% tretinoin, then 0.05% tretinoin) and sunscreen everyday. The f#%king difference in my skin is unreal. I deeply struggled with acne and hyperpigmentation my entire life and they are both virtually gone. S/O Susan! 🌸💕🤩
Glad to say that I started retinoids when I was in my teens for severe acne and now at 27 I can use the highest prescription strength retinoid several times a week without irritation. Took me 10 years to get there but it’s so worth it and I know the benefits will keep showing in the future
I get an insane amount of satisfaction watching skincare bloggers talk whilst doing a skincare routine time whist explaining the products and actives in between. like a cocktail video approach
Loved this video.I got into skincare when the pandemic started due to a lot of free time, and I can't get over how good my skin is now. I suffered with acne prone, oily skin, and I was seeing signs of aging. I'm on a regular tretinoin dose at night now, regular double cleansing, regular morning routine, SPF every single day, botox injections when needed, and I'm often mistaken for someone 5 years younger or more (I'm 32!). I have to thank Susan, Hyram and James Welsh for helping me get to know my skin and learn about skincare! I need to start adding in Vitamin C and a silk pillow now!
Susan, if it wasn’t for you I would have never discovered retinol/retinoids. It has CHANGED MY LIFE. I’ve struggled with horrible skin all my life. I’m so grateful for you! All naturium products for me! THANKS
I have PCOS and started tretinoin very early on in life. Having cystic acne is horrible but it’s been such a benefit starting double cleansing, tretinoin, spf, and other actives as a teenager. Now I’m mid 20s and I can really see the years of work in the plumpness and evenness of my skin tone and texture.
I recently started getting acne, I thinj from pcos, and I've been taking some supplements that Dr berg recommended. Myositol and something... If you search for the video it will come up. Not only will it prevent the acne, its had a huge issue. But it's also gonna help Comvat fertility issues caused by PCOS. It's just better if your hormones are working properly. Also cut down on sugar and watch your insulin resistance. Tretinoin, while amazing can cause birth defects which no one mentions. So definitely don't use if trying to have a baby ever.
I am 78...always cleansed and moisturized, but was a sun-worshiper until they really started to talk about sun/skin cancer...right after we had a pool built! I've been lucky with just one squamous cell on my chest, however, I'm left with MANY sun spots everywhere the sun hit. I am a retired nurse and should have known better. It was not until I retired and started watching skincare vids, that I even knew what an "active" was, or tretonoin, that I got serious about trying to treat my skin! That must have been about 3 years ago. I am now working on the spots on my face and will slowly work my way down! Too little, too late, I'm afraid. 😞
Better late than ever I discovered huge pores on my nose when I was 29 if I'd noticed earlier I could've prevented them even though its genetic? However a lot of products really work that's the beauty of it, even though we need to buy all this plastic.
Never too late my fellow retired RN and skin care nerd! At 68, I too made all of the mistakes we did back in the day. I keep my sunspots down to a "dull roar" with Differin (aka Adapalene), The Ordinary Azalaic Acid and The Ordinary Niacinamide Serum. I now double cleanse at night. Used Botox and dermal fillers during my 50's, but now don't feel I need it. My goal now is a nice glow, increasing cell turnover and SUNSCREEN. Take care sister...yaaaa! we made it through nursing!!! ❤️
I started using sunscreen daily when I was 14 and everybody thought it weird and unnecessary. Now I'm 34 and legit look a lot younger then all my friends
Giving up alcohol & using sunblock ever day was a big game changer for my skin. Thank you Susan , can you rant and do a skin care routine one of the days ?
This video is so refreshing, especially the statement in the beginning where women (anyone really) should be able to talk about aging and how scary it is to see big and small changes. It’s like when a mother says “I’m so tired” and she’s told “oh no you should be celebrating every moment it’s such a blessing!!!” I want to say “oh wow, my face is slowing drooping” without hearing “but be blessed you are alive and healthy!” I am blessed to be alive and healthy but that doesn’t meaning changes in my appearance don’t freak me out!!!
When I was in my early teens/20's I would bounce in and out of skincare because I didn't see results asap, later I learned that its a patience game and its worth it. It's been 5 years since I started a skincare routine and sunscreen on a daily basis and oh boy, I don't need to wear make up anymore (foundation/concealer, etc), my skin looks gorgeous, healthy, clean and glowy. I only use avene/vichy/bioderma and isdin , for blush I use bare minerals, mascara, some lippie and I'm good to go! I always carry sunscreen (dont forget your lips) and thermal water in my bag. I look younger than my early 20's!
There are so many gems in this video! Honestly, Susan, your videos have changed my skin for the better. The moment I paid closer attention to what my skin goals were versus trying to solve everything - the more consistent I got and the sooner I saw results. 1. I decided to focus on acne and getting that under control. 2. I focus on hydration and moisturization. 3. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! I never knew how much it would help with my hyperpigmentation and aid as I use chemical exfoliants and retinol cream at night! I found your videos when I was 23 and I'm about to be 25. I love watching your videos and getting inspiration - especially from your Dermatologist Reacts videos
I'm 24 and I've had acne since I was 12. I've seen doctors for it and all the things they gave me was really bad. Everyone told me I had oily skin and that I shouldn't use creams on my face, I believed this for years! It's not until the last two years I've actually learned and realised that moisturisers actually help with my acne. You can have acne AND dry skin, I never knew this. I saw skincare tips on TikTok and TH-cam and my skin has never been better! I use vitamin C, retinoids, hyaluronic acid and sunscreen. My skin looks amazing, the acne is almost completely gone! The doctors gave me expensive skincare but now I use stuff like The Ordinary, it works wonders. Skincare doesn't need to be expensive to be good. Thank you for this video, I will start using silk pillowcases from now on!
I have acne and an oily face and moisturizers actually break me out big time. But we're always told how important using moisturizer is so I kept trying different types, all with the same results. My face improved so much when I finally accepted that I don't need to apply moisturizer and stopped.
@@Anne_Onymous Hey! I know I’m quite late but I have oily skin too and always been told how important it is to use moisturaser. To be honest I tried a lot of them before discovering that if you have oily skin you can use just a lotion which gives you the hidratation you need without making you oily. Also in the morning you can just use a hidrataying sunscreen for oily skin instead of using the lotion and then the sunscreen. (I’m still looking for a good sunscreen. But I have a lotion that it makes my skin look beautiful it is the “Aloe propolis soothing gel” from Benton if you’re interested)
Before I came across Mixed Makeup, I was really into Lush skincare things. All of their products smelled amazing but were not effective. So glad Susan and James are out here educating us on what actually works.
I started paying attention at 45. I really have no issues beside laxity and texture. Glycolic acid peels took care of that and Tretinoin helped with chronological aging. I have a really thick light olive Asian skin. It ages well.this.
I watch most of your skincare videos and implement most of what you say. So watching this video is almost like validation that I'm doing what's best for my skin and that you would approve.🥺
Thankfully my mom was into skincare and I used daily facial sun clock and an eye cream starting at around age 15. Starting using retinol at age 27. Just turned 30 and will use prescription retinoids soon.
I just turned 30 and I agree with you on many, most important… sunscreen! Even when all my life my mother used it every day I called her dramatic for putting on spf50 every time she went out 😩 until at 25 I started to see some dark spots... and now at 30 I started using it even if I’m at home 😅. I'm trying to convince my 27 year old sister to use it every day but she says that through the window she doesn’t get sun.
I agree. That double-cleanse is a game changer. I also wish I'd had the Naturium Fermented Camellia cleanser sooner. I HATED putting any kind of oil cleanser on my dry skin until that!
Can you make a video about finding the right esthetician (non-L.A.)? Specifically, what kind of things to look for, red flags, and what questions must be asked?
Finding a Dr that’s right for you is key. In my early 30s when I heard about retinoids being helpful for wrinkles I couldn’t get a Dr to subscribe bc it was only used as an acne treatment. Now (10yrs) later I can easily get a subscription online…. No questions asked. Really just the first week of using, my skin felt softer and smoother. Unfortunately starting sooner is not always an option. If we only knew then what we know now.
satin pillowcases are great if you're looking for a more budget friendly option! I've seen a huge difference in my skin + hair from using one. I even bring it with me to hotels haha. I also FINALLY stopped using makeup wipes at 27 and it's made me enjoy my skincare routine so much more. it's made makeup removal so much easier than I thought it would be and I love being able to clear out the sebaceous filaments- it's so satisfying lol
Silk also has natural anti microbial properties, and regulates temperature really well. Satin feels great, and for wrinkling it probably works about the same. Silk is just so great for other things too. It lasts well and can be washed out by hand in just a few minutes.
Double cleansing is amazing ❤️ I like to sometimes use the same oil cleanser 2 times or sandwich exfoliating cleanser between 2 oil cleanses,it helps to prevent drying effects
As an Esthetician, I have seen clients have better results by seeing me monthly and using less expensive products. Yes I have a line available but I don’t always recommend it at all because I know seeing me regularly is more important. And YES, I can do my best work on the clients I know the best. The more I know about someone’s skin and work with them, the more beneficial my treatments and even product recommendations will be.
I wish I started tretinoin, azelaic acid, sunscreen, and probably spironolactone (just started it, so haven't seen results yet) sooner. I am 34 and have been dealing with acne and the resulting hyperpigmentation since middle school. It reduced a lot over the years, but this routine is finally getting rid of it totally. No more 2 zits per week (or even 5+ daily when it was bad).
I've done nothing to very little for my skin. I'm 51 now and thanks to good genetics, I look 15 yrs younger. I saved a lot of money. All I can say is that I have to thank God out loud. I've been blessed.
I want to say, because of you, I actually have stuck with my skincare routine, RETINOID and SUNSCREEN use regularly for the past 2 years. My skin has reaped the benefits. I have combo, tending toward oily, acne prone skin, so we have polar opposite skin types, but... you can do your rants while you talk about skincare or just talk, either way, you've changed my routines for the better. Thanks for that.
My mom was so adamant when I was growing up is not to go out in the sun. Mainly vanity for her because she didn't want to tan. Didn't really enforce sunscreen but looking back I am so glad she limited me being outside too long. I used to be so embarrassed of her using an umbrella. But here I am using an umbrella when walking especially walking into work. I have a long walk.
I wish I have gone to the dermatologist years ago. Because of my passion for skincare I was trying retinol by my own, and along with that many products because I am the person that buy something if I believe in that blogger content, but, even after watching many dermatologist and serious TH-cam channels I was still trying everything by my own, did this also with Korean skincare, well, then I decided to go to the dermatologist, she really reduced my routine, I basically had to drop 4 other creams, and after struggling for years with retinol (really struggling because it made my skin to look like a real teenager) she made a very simple routine, washer, moisturizer and sunscreen and differin. Thats all, no niacinamide, no other hyaluronic, no extra serums, just the simple (I liked Avene so bought everything from Avene), and my skin after 3 months of consistency does not even require foundation or bb cream tô be beautiful, I was choked that didn't have to apply the foundation, the glow was much better without, just applied a blush mascara and that's all (and my foundation is a good one, the Giorgio Armani one). Please don't do like me, go first to the dermatologist instead of trying many products, now I save much more money and I am being able to invest this money in treatments, much better to do that. Amazing video, I could not agree more in all topics :)
I’m 25 now, I’ve been listening to your advice for years, and it truly has changed my skin for the better. Thank you Susan ❤ also yes please do your skin care while you talk to us💀
thank you for making this video iv been trying to figure out how to take care of my self since i was 18 now im 20 and now i know what my skin needs. thank you so much!
I went to Aveda Institute and I love how they always taught us to go in with the oil and water first before the cleanser ! I am obsessed with Double cleanse. Wish I knew about it when I was in high school.
Really loved this video🫶🏽watched it whilst doing my laundry… I like hearing you talk you don’t have to busy yourself by doing your routine but I wouldn’t mind that either ❤️
I wish I had started sunscreen, vitamin C and vitamin A sooner. I pretty much started skincare in my teens but I didn’t know the importance of using the those three vital products until the pandemic. During the pandemic I really dove into learning skincare and watched a bunch of skincare products reviews with the extra time I had. Although I have always been mistaken for being 10 to 15 years than my actual age, these skincare improvements I am loving and I’ll be 46 in about 6 weeks. I’m constantly talking to my sisters and nieces and nephews to use sunscreen at the very least daily. Some do some don’t. 🤦♀️🤷♀️
I have been sleeping on my back more often, wearing sunscreen, and using retinoids. I think I am doing good enough. I have dry and acne prone skin btw.
I’ve been using silk and satin pillowcases for a long time but I recently tried a beauty pillow that was supposed to help me train myself to sleep on my back. I had to return it after two weeks, my sleep was so ruined, I am just not a back sleeper. Guess me and you both will always have those weird lines and our faces 😂
I really wish i started sunscreen in my teens, especially in college when i used benzoyl peroxide and was walking around campus in the sun all the time. But there weren't proper sunscreens for the face available at the time, or they were really expensive or made my face white. My mom had some tinted sunscreen but it was super expensive and she didn't let me use it. I'm glad that now there's a lot of well-priced sunscreen available. I'm 26 now and I wear sunscreen regularly but I wish I were taught better habits earlier.
I loved this video! I'm so thankful that I started with being consistent in a skincare routine since I was a teen in the 90s (clinique skincare haha) AND sunscreen!! A few bad burns in my life taught me how important sunscreen was, especially on my face. In my 30s I got more serious with acids. I'm in my late 40s and I while my hair is grey I have few wrinkles (a bit on my forehead and a little around my lip). I'm just now looking at peels to help lessen them.
Your comment about facials got me. I used to get facials frequently back home in Bulgaria as a teenager and even when I moved to the UK, I would go back home and get a facial regularly, but it has been more difficult in recent years. It's quite hard finding the right esthetician in London, not to mention the prices 😔 I have been using a silk pillowcase for over 4 years, I don't know if it's been helpful as I do have fine lines around my eyes, but I also have very expressive face, so I guess it's unavoidable 😕 I have learnt a lot from this channel back in 2019-2020 and other TH-cam channels and my skin is quite happy at the moment, although there are bits that could be improved. I'm happy I have never used makeup wipes, never bought into that 😃
Sticking to a routine.. as in exfoliate one night, then retinol 2nd night and just basic stuff night 3-4.. (skin cycling) I may change my products but this ROUTINE stays.. it works for me
You mean you’re older than 34 😮 amazing tips! I am about to turn 25 and I am definitely going to take care of my skin for the rest of my life because if there’s one thing I learned is that aging right has a lot to do with how you take care of your skin in the early years.
The retin-a and sunscreen hands down. I started the tretnoin when the pandemic started and seeing the result make me wish I would have started sooner. The sunscreen now is a must due to the feeling of burning on my face if I am out in the sun since my since is so exfoliated. I have a beautiful 11 yo daughter and I am trying to pass down the knowledge I have.
I am 29 and have the fairest skin tone. when I was a kid my family really pushed hard for me to get tanned, because that was the mindset: no sunscreen so you can get burn and then the burn becomes tan. But i never got tanned I just got burned all the time. I regret this so much, even if I know that i was just a kid and didn't know anything about skin protection. Now I'm using sunscreen everyday since I was 27, but i really get the feeling of regretting things!
I’ve read the comments and it seems that everyone has something different that makes a big change. For me it’s vit C. And being consistent with SPF. When I was a teen and then in my 20s I used spf, but not so obsessively as now 😂 I was lucky that I had regular facials since yearly teenage years and was on prescribed tretinoin. That was probably the only advantage of having very hard acne 😂
I wish I would have started moisturizing sooner😬 I didn’t start until I was 22. I know that sounds bad, but I have very oily acne prone skin so I thought I didn’t need it. Once I started, it helped my skin sooooo much.
My mom started me on sunscreen early. Even so, 10 dark spots literally appeared out of nowhere at 38, mostly on the (left) driving side. They do NOT want to fade! I assume a mid-day SPF refresher would’ve helped, so I choose that.
Loved the video! Purchasing that silk pillowcase today.🙌🏼 As someone with dry, sensitive skin, would you do an updated video on treatments that worked on pigment-prone skin? Thank you!!❤ xx
I would have the question, that what should i look for when it comes to "facial"? I am 25, I do not have a very bad condition, my skin is not prefect, a bit dull, have few blackheads, sometime some whiteheads. But when I am looking for a treatment, I am not sure what kind of treatment should I look for. Should I just look for a deepcleaning, or we are talking about some kind of botox treatment, or what should I look for under "facials"?
"Stop using makeup wipes," for sure. I never even washed my face much till recently. When I was a teen, I would usually wash my face in the shower -- and only in the shower (and I've NEVER showered more than a few times a week). I really wish I had learned about the acne reasons for retinoids. But, the number one for me is SUNSCREEN. I wore it only occasionally when younger. I've had multiple second-degree sunburns, as well as a few third-degree sunburns (including one that required a skin graft). Ugh. The long-term damage I've caused is maddening to me. WHY?! Now, I'm religious about wearing sunscreen. In the past 3 years, I have not let the sun touch my skin without me having sunscreen on. I'm trying to make up for the other 94% of my life when I failed miserably. Yes, I'd love for you to chat/rant while getting ready (either for the day or for bedtime).
Tretonoin was great for my closed comedones, but left me with so much PIH from bringing up small cysts. I only use it on my chin because I’m afraid to mess with a good thing (my other skin is pretty clear) since I’m so dry and now acne prone I guesss :) but I love Hydrafacials!
Hi Susan… have you tried some remedies for your voice? Im a singer and there a certain things we do to help us deal with vocal fatigue. -throat coat tea (usually with some honey) - humidifier - personal humidifier (mypuremist is a great brand and has cordless options for traveling). -some morning warmups to wake up your voice (this is also good for people who speak a lot, not just for singers). - and of course resting and hydrating I also avoid dairy because it can cause congestion and acidic food can also irritate the throat. I hope you feel better soon ❤
Have become big fan of your videos and your product. I have purchased few products from Naturium , Waiting for those to be shipped. Your videos are very informative. BTW, love the earing you have on the helix. Do you have a link for that earning?
I had no idea when to add vitamin c to my skincare routine it was just very confusing with all the info online but now I’m going to start using it before my SPF everyday! Already a big lover of spf but this is such an incredible tip!
i’m 20 and have been dealing with acne since my early teens. I was also diagnosed with PCOS (hormonal disorder) and one of my sympmtos is acne. SO my tip would be to seek help from a professional, especially when everything doesn’t work even when you’ve followed instructions to the T. ik im only 20 so i don’t have as much experience as others. still, i wanted to mention this because hormonal acne is such a pain to deal w! i’ve tried so many things, i’ve seen many derms/doctors, and sometimes things work for months or even a year but then i get bad acne again. i still haven’t had a 100% clear face since probably middle school. i’m going to contact my OBGYN to discuss more options soon tho. wishing everyone who watches this video gets pimple-free skin 💗
i started wearing sunscreen when i was 18 and already feel like i should've started sooner. in my country, people only wear their sunscreen on sport days or when they go to beach. no one ever told me the importance of wearing sunscreen on daily basis. i'm now 23, a certified sunscreen maniac. up until sept 2022, i finished a total of 1.6L of sunscreen. yes, i keep all the empty sunscreen tubes so that i know, i'm using enough sunscreen
Thankyou so much for all your skin care education! I'm only 24 and have excema and very dry skin, even noticing ageing already. Working as a nurse through covid with full ppe really damaged my skin even more so I started looking into skin care, that's when I found you! There is no way I could do any cleanse other than a double cleanse. Love the suncream promotion with vitamin c, and I have just started using retinol, I am starting with a low strength and working up slowly. I get so many compliments on my skin and has given me so much confidence! Thankyou xxx
Same sis. NP here. The n95 tore my skin up. I’ve been searching and talked to derm friend. Loving my skin now. I think i M going to get some retinol cream next though. I’ll start with the low dose. Thank you
4:39 I kinda discovered double cleanse in my teens, but I didn't keep it up because I heard the myth that oil was bad for the skin. I used to rub sweet almond oil all over my body right before showering.
I’ve always known I would age. I started using less strong retinol with nicinamide because it helps with redness. I’m turning 20 this year and for sure will be looking for a better one and using cream with it. I use the double cleanse and I use sunscreen. I’ve started early but consistency will help
I wish I had started using moisturizer earlier...like at 12/13 or 14 if not sooner. And even though I grew up in Florida I really didn't hear much about sunscreen being important for everyone including people of color. So if I could have started double cleaning, wearing a moisturizer, a retinol and sunscreen as a pre-teen and in my early teenage years that would have been great. I think we should normalize teaching teenagers and children the importance of a skincare routine. But the good thing is that I've learned these things now.
I just wish I had started or been educated about how important a skincare routine was when I was a girl. I know I wouldn’t have taken it seriously but perhaps a foundation would have given me something to reference when I got older. Also I’m in my 40s, love my skin care routine but I’m still afraid of retinoids! 😝 Where do I start?
Do you think you could do a video breaking down the different types of facial treatments and which you would recommend? Also the type of questions we should be asking:))
Actually I've been viewing James Welsh' videos less and less with his increase of rants xD. He's still an amazing skin expert, but it is not the energy I want to vibe with everyday. But this video of yours Susan, is specific and on topic. I wouldn't call this a negative rant :)
Thank you Susan Im in my mid 30s…and this comes on pretty handy I am a side sleeper too. I have a bad habits squinting my eyes to check how deep the wrinkles are. And o too used make up wipes may teens and twenties …I heard about retinol in my 30s. I wish I started vitamin c abd Retinol and everyday sunscreen in my twenties. We I am North African we tanned with olive 🫒 oil 😢
The dermatologist gave me tretinoin when I was 15 for 1 or 2 pimples and I wish i would have never used it. I applied it to my t zone and my skin the next day was this orange peel texture. I never had any burning or peeling just the texture change. I’m 33 and I still have the same orange peel texture
I wish I had known about skin care in my early teens. Wouldn’t have all these acne scars I have now. The first time I used skin care treatment was at 18, had such bad acne due to prednisone my doctor sent me to a dermatologist and they put me on Retin-A and benzoyl peroxide wash cleared me up right away. But then I stopped cause i couldn’t afford it. And I started using drug store acne treatment and the popular Proactive. But I learned about true skin care as in what i needed for my skin in my late 30’s from youtube 🤦🏻♀️.
I was a lifeguard for 7 years, I am 40 now, and I your mentality on sun burns was the same as mine! YIKES! Same with melasma too, it just got worse with each child (four kids). What lasers and facials do you recommend for brown skin? I am a light olive (Costa Rican). I wish I would have done sunscreen sooner!
1. Silk pillowcase/silk eye mask
2. No make up wipes
3. Double cleanse
4. Consistent skincare routine
5. Regular facials
6. Deal w/ Pregnancy skincare issues (melasma)
7. Find the right expert (dermatologist/esthetician)
8. Used the right skincare for skin concerns
9. Retinoids (retinol, tretinoin, retin-a)
10. Sunscreen
(Bonus: limit alcohol, limit sugar intake, drink more water)
thank you! 🎉
thanks! gotta look into silk pillowcases and retinoids
Thank u dear
Thank you!
Anyone have a silk pillow case recommendation
You should reverse the two....
Oh my...thank you...I currently apply my HA toner on my wet skin and it really produce much better result than a damp skin..I'm gonna try the 2nd one rn
What mists do you recommend? I just find them overpriced for what they are often
You're flippin gold, girl! Yesssss! I'm so proud of you 👍
Where did u get your silk pillowcase
@@Oksanado268 pure silk from Ulta
You’re gonna age so pretty 😭 wish I did this at your age
@@SpaceOutlaw_ I hope so! Thank you

I use it everyday. I don’t have sensitive skin at all though.
What retinoid do you use?
@La Fa .1% tretinoin is the highest percentage prescription strength retinoid available.
When I get older I want to be like you ‼️💖
I get an insane amount of satisfaction watching skincare bloggers talk whilst doing a skincare routine time whist explaining the products and actives in between. like a cocktail video approach
Silk pillow case I'm getting me .and double cleanse thx for video
Better late than ever I discovered huge pores on my nose when I was 29 if I'd noticed earlier I could've prevented them even though its genetic? However a lot of products really work that's the beauty of it, even though we need to buy all this plastic.
It's never too late, darling! Your skin appreciates it❤
It's okay, speak to yourself with love
I stopped alcohol but smoking is proving more difficult 😭😩 not even ciggies. Its the greens 😮💨
I don't drink, but it's very obvious that diet had a major effect on my skin (especially sugar)
@@dlilwon MJ isn't bad for your skin tho~

oh my god Susan i've been missing your skincare routines so much, they are very nice to watch and relaxing! Bring them back!
I have combo to mostly dry skin too and use neutrogena hydrboost gel cream. I’ve used it for years it’s never broken me out :)
I only got onto retinoids in my early 40’s…….same with spf. But still, it’s made a huge difference and worth starting whenever 🎉
I also love when James talks while doing his skincare routine. More of that please! 😁
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. So true. I love my estheticain because she thinks just like you and I've received the best results because as a result
Susan is one of my TOP TIER skincare besties, she just doesn't know it 💖 I have hypothyroidism too and relate so much with watch she says
Thank you Susan ❤ also yes please do your skin care while you talk to us💀
Haha! Will do.
A woman who endorses and has to resort to botox in her thirties is not a woman to take advice from.
thank you for making this video iv been trying to figure out how to take care of my self since i was 18 now im 20 and now i know what my skin needs. thank you so much!
When it comes to makeup, REMOVING processes is more important than ADDING on always!❤
Omg yes do you routine at the same time! I love that James does that.
I’ve been waiting for this video and didn’t even know it. Love this rant so so so much.
I'm happy I have never used makeup wipes, never bought into that 😃
Can you do a video on what to look for in a good facial/aesthetician?
Sticking to a routine.. as in exfoliate one night, then retinol 2nd night and just basic stuff night 3-4.. (skin cycling) I may change my products but this ROUTINE stays.. it works for me
You mean you’re older than 34 😮 amazing tips! I am about to turn 25 and I am definitely going to take care of my skin for the rest of my life because if there’s one thing I learned is that aging right has a lot to do with how you take care of your skin in the early years.
she‘s over 50 i guess
The retin-a and sunscreen hands down. I started the tretnoin when the pandemic started and seeing the result make me wish I would have started sooner. The sunscreen now is a must due to the feeling of burning on my face if I am out in the sun since my since is so exfoliated. I have a beautiful 11 yo daughter and I am trying to pass down the knowledge I have.
susan i'm glad your voice is getting better. can i know when did you start wearing sunscreen regularly??
I am 29 and have the fairest skin tone. when I was a kid my family really pushed hard for me to get tanned, because that was the mindset: no sunscreen so you can get burn and then the burn becomes tan. But i never got tanned I just got burned all the time. I regret this so much, even if I know that i was just a kid and didn't know anything about skin protection. Now I'm using sunscreen everyday since I was 27, but i really get the feeling of regretting things!
I’ve read the comments and it seems that everyone has something different that makes a big change.
For me it’s vit C.
And being consistent with SPF. When I was a teen and then in my 20s I used spf, but not so obsessively as now 😂
I was lucky that I had regular facials since yearly teenage years and was on prescribed tretinoin.
The niacinemide serum from your brand is my favorite thing in the world my skin is so glowy without being greasy
Where did you buy it? I need one😊
MUCH NEEDED!! I JUST turned 30 and am like ahhh tips and regrets please! LOL thank you for this. *slabs on the sunscreen*
Do you have a video on different facials that you recommend for your 30s? And/or lasers, etc?
Hi Susan… have you tried some remedies for your voice? Im a singer and there a certain things we do to help us deal with vocal fatigue.
-throat coat tea (usually with some honey)
- humidifier
- personal humidifier (mypuremist is a great brand and has cordless options for traveling).
-some morning warmups to wake up your voice (this is also good for people who speak a lot, not just for singers).
- and of course resting and hydrating
I also avoid dairy because it can cause congestion and acidic food can also irritate the throat.
I hope you feel better soon ❤
Have become big fan of your videos and your product. I have purchased few products from Naturium , Waiting for those to be shipped. Your videos are very informative. BTW, love the earing you have on the helix. Do you have a link for that earning?
Love the video Susan! Very good advice !!!The skincare routine I wish I started earlier is using active ingredients !
Good luck with your voice! My voice also the first thing to go when I push too hard
I enjoy watching you do your skincare routine. So both is good. love your videos
What type do you like to use for your face? I can’t find one that isn’t smelly or oily sadly
❤ thank you for sharing! I agree with using wipes. Saves so much time!❤
Do you think using a washcloth or “erase the face” cloth is just like using the makeup wipes?
Thank you
I will try the nuturian skin care.
I’ve always known I would age 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I wish I had started using moisturizer earlier...like at 12/13 or 14 if not sooner. And even though I grew up in Florida I really didn't hear much about sunscreen being important for everyone including people of color. So if I could have started double cleaning, wearing a moisturizer, a retinol and sunscreen as a pre-teen and in my early teenage years that would have been great. I think we should normalize teaching teenagers and children the importance of a skincare routine. But the good thing is that I've learned these things now.
I started double cleaning because it DOES take longer 🤣 I love my skincare routine 😁
Me: watching this as I’m about to use makeup wipes
Also me: puts down makeup wipes, picks up face wash 🧼 😅
I roll around in my sleep. Idk what to do about wrinkles in terms of sleep. I’m on tretionion long term and sunblock so hopefully it helps
Great video, thank you! Do you recall and mind sharing lip liner and lipstick/gloss wearing in this video?
This was so helpful thank you Susan!!
I get my facial at the spa school near me. Its 45 dollars and makes a splurge way more affordable.
Yes do skincare and talk it will be amazing
What are you fave sunscreens? I agree I wish I had started retin A earlier. I started using it around 37.
Keeping your skin clean is the first priority..
I totally feel you Noura. We cant go against the age. But you are so beautiful🥰
Omw to buy a silk pillowcase! Thanks for these tips ❤
I don't get acne and I don't have any skin care routines. I feel like this is some good advice for my lazy self lol
Picoway laser for sun spots. The only thing that works!
Omggggg I’m sooo happy I found you!!
