Kirishima is one of those characters that really sneaks up on you as far as how important and likable they end up being. I did not expect him to be in my top 5 when I started watching this show
Regarding the whole "compensation" thing from Shigaraki. Shigaraki lost an important member of his team and the arm of another. Chisaki just lost a nameless low rank member. The importance of what they lost isn't exactly the same. But it's also important to remember that Chisaki wants the brand recognition that the league of villains have. But Shigaraki wouldn't agree to cooperate with him without his own conditions. Which is why Shigaraki can still negotiate.
There's also the matter of how they were lost. All of Shigarakis losses came directly at Overhauls hands. Yes Overhaul probably could kill most of Shigarakis crew but the same applies for Shigaraki being able to kill most of Overhauls. We didn't see minion vs minion or boss vs boss and in that sense Shigaraki does have bargaining room. You want our name, we want your resources, a fight between us could weaken both groups critically as I would be targetting your men like you did mine. So a joint partnership but concessions as you did kill and cripple some of my more valuable pieces. It's not like say those two threatening Shigaraki in the meeting took out Magby and Compressions arm much less a disposable goon.

In the first discussion, Montana isn’t looking at the meeting between the league of villains and the shei hasaki through the proper lense. It’s business talk. This is a business meeting, and Chisaki, the leader, kept the offer to work together open when leaving that fight. Criminal enterprises are common for him and he expects that Shigaraki is going to do all he can to represent his own interests and get as much from the cooperation as possible, same as himself. Regardless of whether or not Magni was a significant team member lost and the other thug was just a useless pawn, Shigaraki is going to play up his loss to try and get more from Chisaki, and then he’ll come back with a counter offer and eventually a deal will be struck or both go their own ways. Shigaraki can make initial requests for greater compensation for Magni because he already is aware that Chisaki values and is after the league of villains name recognition. Basically they both have assets to offer each other and come to an arrangement. Montana is overestimating chisaki’s ability to forcefully get what he’s after. But not all things can be acquired through those means, even cooperation.
@@HaydrogenBomb yea, shoto vs deku, overhaul vs deku, flect turn vs deku, he helped on nine vs deku and bakugou, helped on Mob and more but it’s too much to put on one comment.

I love Tamaki's hero name being Sun Eater, Because anything he eats becomes a part of him, and he said to Kirishima "You're just like Mirio, you both shine so brightly, like the sun." He wants to be as positive and bright like those two, so he made his name Sun Eater because he wants the 'sun' to be a part of him, he wants to shine like Mirio, and I think that's super cute. I love this episode, Kirishima being inspired by Bakugo instead of Deku is a great change up, it's exactly what Aizawa said, the two people who are the most influence in their class are Deku because he inspires people to do the right thing and help those in danger and Bakugo the one who inspires those to never give up, never stop aiming for the top. Both are insanely important.
An episode that turned a character I liked into one of the characters I love… And later on will become the character I love in the show ha ha. Kirashima is the best boy and my son haha!
You know how in Dragon Ball Super they made a ball with a bunch of delicious food in it to attract Beerus? I always thought Tamaki could have something like that.
8:00 This is you guys explaining this from a very American stand point, Americans tend to want to negotiate from a position of power, in other parts of the world negotiations are approached from what one side owes the other. It's a cultural difference.
This is an episode I wish happened more often. It reminds me of the Stain arc going around showing various Work Studies. It may only be 2 today but it’s just a good opportunity to show off different characters getting slowly involved in the same big investigation for Overhaul. To start off with we got Nejire, Uraraka, and Tsu working for Ryukyu going against 2 gigantic skyscraper sized titans. And even though it’s the much shorter focus, it has a bunch of very short but lots of fast paced crazy feats. These titans might not be causing All-Might level natural disasters where the force keeps you kilometers away just from flexing or anything but they ARE causing earthquakes and toppling infrastructure easy. Which makes what comes next all the crazier. Nejire says output level 30. So that means she’s likely on a 100 scale. And just FLATTENS THEM at less than 1/3 of her power! She might just be the strongest in quirk power of the Big 3 just based on that! (She’s not Mirio level skilled or Amajiki level variety, but she’s the powerhouse of the trio.) Uraraka and Tsu have a move like 5 seconds and I had to rewatch it 5 times to make sure I was seeing things correctly. Uraraka is as usual being VERY weird with her quirk. So tell me. When you can chuck buildings because you’re so massive, would you REALLY be put down so easily by rubble of that size? Yeah NO WAY. Uraraka’s doing her weird gravity moderation again! And she’s even picking and choosing which effects for different rubble AND herself AND Tsu all at once. She must’ve increased the gravity on the projectile rubble to hold those titans down so easily. (Notice how once again when it’s likely gravity increases she DOES NOT say “release.”) And kept herself and Tsu floating the whole time. (And she avoids her vertigo because she isn’t doing a bunch of switching of effects but 2 major moves she’s spreading effects across what she’s effecting.) Meanwhile Tsu was more correcting its trajectory as it fell because the gravity did all the damage work! (That and Tsu would likely cut her tongue on rubble like that if she was all the force of the move on TITANS) And it seems Ryukyu is helping them coordinate their attacks and moderation over the short time they’ve had. So we’re seeing some SERIOUS evolving for these 2. I can’t say what that means for Uraraka’s prior stalemate with Bakugo, but I think she can even up the playing field again at this rate of arsenal expansion and control she’s gotten. Bakugo has speed over her for SURE and that’s all he really needs to keep it in his favor but based on what she’s doing their power might not be that far apart for 2 titans to be smooshed by only 3 tons of rocks max when they were damaging buildings over ONE HUNDRED TIMES HEAVIER is a HEFTY power boost with higher gravity at her disposal. So Ryukyu is breaking the norm and being more of a teaching role for Tsu and Uraraka at the work study. Combo moves at this point have only been seen in use by the 2nd and 3rd years in the provisional license test. And maybe a VERY occasional hat trick from 1st years like Inasa and Todoroki’s flame tornado or Sero and Uraraka’s traps. So getting more specific instruction is a PRETTY big help. And once they have it down, Ryukyu just says let’s get you in on the Yakuza and League of Villains investigations. THAT WAS ALL IN 2 MINUTES. But now we got Shigaraki talking to Overhaul about their join up. Shigaraki was never going to answer to anyone but AFO himself. And even then it’s a limited answer. I like how they’re afraid of whatever weapon Shigaraki could have in his coat before I don’t know, him deciding to DISINTEGRATE THEM. Shigaraki shows how much he values each of his members like Magne and Compress. This isn’t pretend concern over their well being, he’s understandably TICKED. And he’s even providing much greater patience with the Yakuza because he knows there’s a time and a place for the destruction he loves to cause now. He sees these Yakuza troops as potential minions of his own so he doesn’t want them gone. (Also Mimic appears to be MUCH larger than the little doll he appears to be in.) And Overhaul wants to manipulate the league to be under him. So it’s a very cordial conversation between the two because the only one NOT safe are the actual leaders here. And Overhaul wasn’t trained to fight by AFO himself. Then there’s Fat Gum, Kirishima, and Amajiki. I love that Amajiki asked to speak to Kirishima about work studies, but then says he was bullied into recommending Kirishima even though he was the type the district needed to fill in some gaps of coverage. Amajiki’s quirk has insane variety and it always has his opponents guessing what he combines. And Fat Gum’s power is fueled by his fat so the two of them must eat together a lot. Fat Gum is the type of guy who has a lot of patience for people down on themselves and wants to help them reach a more comfortable place of mind. And although Kirishima does NOT seem like the type to need that mentorship, you may notice him slip in an occasional line or two that reveal how hard he is on himself. We have ANOTHER big world changer. Quirk boosters are one thing, but quirk SUPPRESSORS are a COMPLETELY different horse of another color. Villains rarely get formal training but they even the playing field by boosting themselves for boosted effects to their power. The possibilities with this one is crazy for this knife guy. Going from arm razors 10 inches long to full upper body spread that’s over a BUILDING long is an INSANE boost. Even if it’s not one that lasts long. And removing problematic powers for people that quite frankly can be so jacked they can get thrown through buildings is a HUGE issue. Fat Gum and Kirishima happen to be the weakness of this method purely by having armored quirks. But that’s not a guarantee OR is it a type of quirk villains need to remove off the field so badly. Small incidents can get SUBSTANTIALLY worse with one or both of these. We were lucky it was only a small gang today. But what about bigger players? Theres also specialized weapons that fall apart to top it all off. Kirishima and Bakugo ACTUALLY have a strong friendship with Bakugo not even hesitating to just say that Kirishima IS a competitor and he’s being too hard on himself. There’s no drop off for him because he can stand strong and always has people’s back. And now Kirishima takes that to stand even stronger and what I can only describe as Greed’s ultimate shield is now in his arsenal. He’s shoving his carbon body and rearranging it into much tougher armor. And this really is a huge move for him because the more he stands up the bigger the threats he faces. And his now big move OF standing up gives way to a time when he didn’t or couldn’t. And his obsession with manliness might be from the feeling of NOT being as manly as he wants to be. And he’s correcting his course. And now all 3 of Uraraka, Tsu, and Kirishima all get proper acclaim and recognition for their field activity and making a show of themselves just as the heroes in season 1 did and all the pressure of what these public gathering shows really provide. Something Deku did NOT get despite having the stronger will and stood up to a much bigger threat with no hesitation. And the 3 of them get a well deserved pat on the back from their heroes and classmates. Lots to like in this episode. Setup and world building for what’s to come. And giving more characters some well needed attention. Next time…we’ll have to see what is really been cooking in the background.
@@supriyosarkar5483 Nejire is actually crazy strong, Uraraka is developing gravity control and is not far from Bakugo’s strength, Kirishima has Greed’s Ultimate Shield. I’m not good at TLDR’s.

As far as the negotiation goes, shigaraki is attempting to persuade overhaul that overhaul needs shigaraki more than shigaraki needs overhaul, which is largely true, thus the negotiating power. There are plenty of strong people to find in this world, the opportunity overhaul presents to shigaraki is organization and an expedited search for recruits and resources. Whereas overhaul is relying on the name recognition of the league of villains in order to get funding for his plan. There are other villaim groups but most of them are small fry compared to the league. This is all before considering the loss that LoV suffered at the hands of overhaul, which i don't see as having much role in the actual term deals but has more to do with the lack of respect and gun pointing from overhauls minions.
The thing about all of this is that the first meeting was not supposed to be a fight. They were going to meet at a negotiating capacity, Chisaki insulted and provoked them (which is a big no no, specially when you consider that he's Yakuza [honor]) and his reaction to being charged was immediate disintegration of a main member. Then another jumped at the defense and ARM disintegration. The one Chisaki lost was a guy that is used to serve as a shield, a pawn if you'd like. But the main thing is, it was provoked during a meeting. If it was a fight from the start, I'd get it. Now negotiations are going back to this and Chisaki is who needs the support, if anything Shigaraki could have said "F that guy"
The piece of information during the chisaki - Shigaraki exchange that would have helped your wife make more sense of it is that chisaki is reach out to the league for notoriety and shigaraki may need strength but there are plenty of people willing to be a villain. While there arent alot of peopleas well known as the league of villans
The equal footing is more than just the one man to one man thing. It's also like Shigoraki said. The Hasikai want notoriety that they had and lost. The League of villains want to expand and while it's been slowed down they did technically erase the symbol of piece. The fair trade would be to seen as equals even if the raw materials lost were larger for the league.
@MichaelaEvans You get it. 😁👍 I just haven't watched all of Chainsaw Man (didn't really care for it), but I DO care for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and unlike the former, it's a complete series, so they can just watch those ten episodes and be done with it.
The league objectively has Superior members. The fact that one of their members died in another lost his arm to an enemy factions leader is irrelevant.
I really like how they flesh out Kirishima's character quite a bit. Really makes him stand out. One of my least favorite things about MHA is the fact they have such a large cast and not everyone can get equal screen time. Characters like Momo and Tenya do shine somewhat, but they still sit in the sidelines as side characters while characters like bakugo, deku and todoroki get all the character development. Others like tail man and tape guy don't even feel important in the grand scheme of things. It is nice to see they gave some love to Kirishima though.
oof the failure to realize chisaki is the one begging in the negotiation scene really hurt, i know you're more clever than that D: ...shigaraki is in a position to make demands and take charge because chisaki is the one asking for favors here. Not to mention of everyone in that room shigaraki and chisaki are the only ones that can kill you by touching you and the yakuza as a whole has demonstrated over time that they are the weaker organization because the league of villains made moves while allmight was active that ultimately led to his retirement while the hassaikai his underground and couldn't do anything to grab any sort of ground of capitol
Montana the point is the shie hassakai want the name/fame that comes with the league if villains- that's what theyre negotiating for - so why wouldnt shigaraki want some concessions in exchange? Here overhaul is the one that reached out because he has more to gain here, and shigaraki came to discuss how this could be a joint partnership rather than just giving overhaul what he wants, EAPECIALLY after he killed one of the LOV members
In this universe, the quirks are characteristics from each person too, so I'd say, if he eats someone's finger for example, he can use their quirk, of course, that's probably a line he doesn't wanna cross
7:10 I agree with Montana about who should be in charge. They are villains. The strong rule. I know I've said it a bunch, but Mina's personality is a force of nature.
Eh.... that's not always how it works in such spaces. If you're negotiating on a collaboration, if one group has taken more from the other, asking compensation makes complete sense It's not like Overhaul thoroughly beat them and now they serve him
when are you guys planning on watching Avatar the last airbender live action i think you guys should watch the One Piece live action series i think you guys would love it please let me know what you think
One question: are you two gonna watch season 5 in chronological order? Because in the manga, the last third (the Meta Liberation Army Arc) takes place after the Joint Training Arc (S5 E1-S5 E11) and before the Endeavor Agency Arc (S5 E12 - S5 E18). While it's not a huge deal, most can agree that it creates a better pacing and gives the story a clear direction since those other two arcs are rather tame in comparison.
The LOV didn’t lose they were in a trap and only had a one arm disadvantage if they went all out it would be an unclear victory at that moment so one is not clearly stronger than the other
I'm not them but I think they mentioned he's seen at least season 5 and I don't remember if they've said season 6 would be new reactions for them both. I know the movies will be fresh reactions though, I think Kenny's only seen 1 of the films. Apologies if I'm remembering that wrong though.

Montana's face killed me when Kenny says it's a lobster 🦞 9:13
well kenny always correcting her when she wasnt wrong its not the first time
Okay, but WHY IS THE GIANT FIGHT IN THE BEGINNING SO WELL-ANIMATED?!
Nakamura.
@@NATHANIELDEPAZ Who's he?
@@HaydrogenBomb the dude who animated the giant fight at the beginning.
@@NATHANIELDEPAZ I got that, but you made it sound like a name I should recognize. Has he done more?
@@HaydrogenBomb yea, shoto vs deku, overhaul vs deku, flect turn vs deku, he helped on nine vs deku and bakugou, helped on Mob and more but it’s too much to put on one comment.
Watching this again I just realized that the quirk nullification bullets could actually have good medical use like if someone has a regeneration quirk that's to fast for surgery
Kirishima/Red Riot gained a spot in my top 5 1-A students this season, and this was only part of what triggered that for me.
An episode that turned a character I liked into one of the characters I love… And later on will become the character I love in the show ha ha. Kirashima is the best boy and my son haha!
Not me for your first break discussion keep saying ' don't fight! ' 😂😂😂
kirishima is definitely one of the most underrated characters:((
You know how in Dragon Ball Super they made a ball with a bunch of delicious food in it to attract Beerus? I always thought Tamaki could have something like that.
Not me having the exact same thought process as Montana when they were talking about anxiety at the end of the episode 😅
(She’s not Mirio level skilled or Amajiki level variety, but she’s the powerhouse of the trio.)
Uraraka and Tsu have a move like 5 seconds and I had to rewatch it 5 times to make sure I was seeing things correctly.
Tldr
@@supriyosarkar5483 Nejire is actually crazy strong, Uraraka is developing gravity control and is not far from Bakugo’s strength, Kirishima has Greed’s Ultimate Shield. I’m not good at TLDR’s.
@@Kaempfdog Whoa you actually took it seriously and replied. Sorry for being rude earlier. I've watched the series already so I knew what you were speaking about but didn't expect someone writing so much about it. I also found it so good that they focused on the side characters too and gave each of them their moments.
@@supriyosarkar5483the difference with the work internships in season 2, is that only Deku, Uraraka, Tsu and Kirishima get to do them, the others can't cause the requisite was that they could only do them in agencies with good work study tracks récords, and from those, the ones who were willing to take the first years in the first place, aka, the agencias that took the big three into their work studies
@@supriyosarkar5483 Yeah, he may write essay long analyses for the MHA episodes, but always with praising details and without any spoilers. And he always reads the comments he gets. Thank you for keeping it friendly.
Tamajiki is basically Kirby of the MHA universe.
Always fascinating that tamakis voice actor is the same as the main character in Dr Stone lol two different vibes but love it!
This shows up in a fanfic I’m reading, but the author of which gave Suneater the ability to become a Tree-man by eating an apple. I didn’t know it never happened in the manga until he said so.
Gotta say, hope that blade villain got the help he needs. Cause that’s a mentally unstable man.
also, one thing to note is that for some reason, the dub here call's kirishima's finisher 'red gun turret", when it is actually "red gauntlet".
Suneater's quirk is one of my favorites in the series, probably top 3.
Personally I'm obsessed with kirishima... He's so cute and positive!

And for just a single moment,
we were all Montana
Montana, every video I feel like we are more and more alike. I love you🤣 Wellbutrin girlies unite 💪🏼
I can’t wait to see the reactions to Kirishima in a few episodes.
(At 16:40) Is he related to moonfish?
Idk he's just called the blade villian in wiki
This episode made me love Kirishima
Amajiki's quirk is basically just the MHA version of the Female Titan lol
I love Tamaki
I don't know if it's set in stone yet, but I REALLY hope you'll go with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners instead of Chainsaw Man once you finish Code Geass. 🤞😖🤞
I would want Classroom of the Elite to replace Code Geass. But I would definitely prefer Cyberpunk Edgerunners over CSM 😄
@MichaelaEvans You get it. 😁👍
I just haven't watched all of Chainsaw Man (didn't really care for it), but I DO care for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and unlike the former, it's a complete series, so they can just watch those ten episodes and be done with it.
@@HaydrogenBomb agreed. I care a lot about Cyberpunk Edgerunners.😁❤️ I've never watched CSM and I don't plan on watching it either😅
Hiiie, I’m exciting to see your videos every week!!
I kinda relate to Tamaki too... Shy & anxious lol. I would never want to be a hero tho...
I love Tamaki. I'm actually getting him in a tattoo soon.
Kirishima, my beloved...
The league objectively has Superior members. The fact that one of their members died in another lost his arm to an enemy factions leader is irrelevant.
I looooove Kirishima
I really like how they flesh out Kirishima's character quite a bit. Really makes him stand out. One of my least favorite things about MHA is the fact they have such a large cast and not everyone can get equal screen time. Characters like Momo and Tenya do shine somewhat, but they still sit in the sidelines as side characters while characters like bakugo, deku and todoroki get all the character development. Others like tail man and tape guy don't even feel important in the grand scheme of things. It is nice to see they gave some love to Kirishima though.
Hi i love Tamaki but his Quirk is the icing on the socially anxious cake that is him
helps that his VA is Aaron Dismuke ❤
i never realized shigaraki has red shoes like deku, they really be 2 sides of the same coin
KIRISHIMA! Is dat dude
Yutaka Nakamura did not need to go so hard in the first cut lol
If this is the second favorite, then I know that the number one episode is
oof the failure to realize chisaki is the one begging in the negotiation scene really hurt, i know you're more clever than that D: ...shigaraki is in a position to make demands and take charge because chisaki is the one asking for favors here.
Can't wait till she meets the best bunny ever...
Incidentally just, before you pointing out, i also just noticed that deku hand thing.

My mind went to like an extra limb or something.
@@HaydrogenBomb Moonfish enters the chat lol
Most importantly, can he copy someone's quirk like that ?
In this universe, the quirks are characteristics from each person too, so I'd say, if he eats someone's finger for example, he can use their quirk, of course, that's probably a line he doesn't wanna cross

7:10 I agree with Montana about who should be in charge. They are villains. The strong rule.
I know I've said it a bunch, but Mina's personality is a force of nature.
Eh.... that's not always how it works in such spaces. If you're negotiating on a collaboration, if one group has taken more from the other, asking compensation makes complete sense

You guys are TOO CUTE
hmm, this episode was good. but I think for me, I'd place it as #4 in this season
KIRISHIMA MY GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
They should just watch it the way it aired to avoid confusion.
Probably not, they'll watch it as its in the anime, Kenny might tell Montana MVA happens before endeavor training and that's it
So if Tamaki are a lead, would he become like a leaf on the wind?
It's weaponizable steroids, of course it's gonna come from the U.S.
This episode made red riot become in my top 5 favourite hero
Baby boy Tamaki
Kirishima is my favorite character, but "red gun turret" is such a dumb name for a hardened punch...
The LOV didn’t lose they were in a trap and only had a one arm disadvantage if they went all out it would be an unclear victory at that moment so one is not clearly stronger than the other
Suneater is my hero.
I’m srry but can we check up on Montana does she need a break 😭
can u guys watch 2 episodes in each MHA upload?
