Usually once you've opened it the first time it won't go to junk anymore or you can manually mark as "not spam." If this doesn't work, it's possible the email that got entered just had 1 letter or character off, so it doesn't have the right address to send to. Hope this helps!

    Love your videos, gonna try some of those fonts you noted. Is there an optimal font size that you like to use, or are you more a visual person? Do buyers like people to be able to read what's on their shirt from 50 yds out, or would they prefer it readable from about 10ft?

    • @hannahebeling
      @hannahebeling  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly, I just like the test the size until it looks right. For Amazon and Etsy at least I find that bigger font you can read sells better. Personally, in real life I much prefer shirts with smaller graphics, but when you are designing to catch someone’s eye, readable is best!

    Hi, Hannah! Thanks for the great video. What about the lighter shirts such as soft cream or natural? No-go?

    • @hannahebeling
      @hannahebeling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      “Sand” and beige colors sell really well on Etsy! I sell the majority of all my products on Amazon, and they don’t offer those colors, so my bestselling colors are a little skewed towards Amazon.

    • @arkikali5632
      @arkikali5632 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hannahebeling That's a good point. Amazon skews really heavily toward dark colors, and their light colors aren't really neutral aside from white and that ash gray. I'm actually thinking about not doing shirts on Etsy. Just not enough time in the day. Still waiting on a tier up on Amazon though--I'm still in purgatory. 😞

    • @hannahebeling

      That's awesome to hear! I have no idea why, but it really seems like Etsy shoppers love them some heather shirts. I have experimented with both giving free shipping and not, but right now I am having buyers pay for shipping. Even though Etsy says they boost your listings with free shipping, I think I was missing out on sales because I had to price my items significantly higher to justify the shipping. I think you can't go too wrong either way, but this is working better for me now. What has your experience been?

    • @hannahebeling
      @hannahebeling  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question and good video idea! Honestly, my go-to is when I find what template I am going to use on Placeit, I go to the fonts and only look at the "suggested" fonts section. Usually those will look pretty good. I still gravitate towards more distressed fonts. If you go to the "more fonts" section of a design, you can search words like "grunge" or "script" or "girly" to find what you need. Sorry I don't have more exact font names.

    Hi Hannah, thank you for your tjps. I have a question: if you design your T shirts in Canva pro, how can you have files with 300dpi ? Because Canva doesn't offer PNGs with high resolution. No one tells beginners this detail. Everyone recommends Canva but doesn't say with what low resolution the files come out (with the exception of PDFs). I used low resolution files from Canva for several months until I found this out :(

    • @hannahebeling
      @hannahebeling  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are a couple options. One is for simple designs sometimes I upload with lower dpi. Or on Canva you can slide to increase the file size to x3. When you upload your image on a pod site, it will condense it down into a higher res version.

    • @Dareanddoit
      @Dareanddoit ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hannahebeling thanks for your answer, but in reality you can't increase the size x3 . Because 4500x5400 is already a big size in Canva and you can't make bigger. 4800x5200, 4500x5400 , these are the biggest...

    • @hannahebeling
      @hannahebeling  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Dareanddoit If you are on Canva pro, in the download drop down box, there is a little slider to increase the size. This won't change the canvas size that you are working on, just download a bigger file.

    • @Dareanddoit
      @Dareanddoit ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hannahebeling Thank you! You mean, under File type , Dimension > to choose x3 ? It's a solution, but this will increase very much the file dimension. Instead of 11MB for example, it will be 60MB. As far as I know, PNGs under 50MB are accepted. But it's a good idea :) I like to work in Canva because it's so easy and fun , but I would like the files to come out with a better resolution. Thank you very much for your answers and ideas !
