Thanks. I think this can be a great starting point for me to understand the steps in developing an approval tool involving power app, sharepoint and outlook. Looking forward to the evolution of this small app you started to something with higher scope.
I would recommend creating a separate SharePoint list for those people who should be able to approve or reject such an inquiry, which includes their email address.

Hello, I'm doing the same process but instead of entering an email manually I want it sent to whichever email is selected when the user types in the name and is populated in the dropdown menu from my organization. Any help would be appreciated!
for me, i have followed the instrcutions, but the power automate flow won't be added in the app (as happening for you at 9:15 to 9:30). Can yoou please help? The flow is created correctly( and i tested it using power automate, works fine). also app is working fine till that step.. The only differece is the template which you used doesnt appear any more on Power automate templates so i had to use Send Approval and Follow up via email. Thanks
Hi Anthony, the method in this video is the best way to create an approval system within your Power App. It will make it easy to update things like the email templates etc.
Hi thanks so much for this! Quick question - I would like to add a shared inbox email address in the 'Assigned To' part of 'Start an Approval' but this comes back as 'Flow failed'. Would you know why and how I can go about doing this? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. Just curious, i tried to replicate but this it doesn’t work when I create a new item and have it approved, it doesn’t update the correct Sharepoint item. It works fine when i modify an existing entry. Any tips?
The problem is that the author of this video is creating a new item, but in the process of writing formula he is referencing Gallery.Selected item's ID. The new item doesn't have ID yet. You need to use FormName.LastSubmit record to access values, like an ID and Title that were created.
It seemed that you say the approver sends an email. Is the email automatic to this process or is there something missing on the approver sending an approval email. What's the best? Update sharepoint only or update and send email?
Hi, thank you so much for this, it is working perfectly for me, I just have one query, if the user sends an approval request again after the initial approval the status still shows up as (Approved), is there any way to refresh that to (New) so that it can be approved again

Same question. Please guide.

Correct 👍
