- Some good luge action from Rotorua, New Zealand. These are some of the highlights showing some of the carnage that was going on, including a few roll overs and wipe-outs that was caught on the GoPro!

Haha I can't stop laughing at this. This looks like a lot of fun. This should be the new FORMULA 1 format. Make the races more interesting,plus no-one knows who will win and better for budgets.

If this was in the U.K there would be to many health and safety requirements it would be slow and probably full of potholes
The track would be wet all the time too
And some chav will have found it and lit a bin on fire in the middle of the track
Imagine usa..... the carts would have square wheels to prevent overspeed
@@kornpops1261 The US still has some states that are pretty lax on the rules, there’s this toboggan luge thing in the white mountains of New Hampshire I go on every summer vacation and it’s lethal, you can fly off the track going like 30-40 mph in fact I’ve done it.
America has too many lawsuits for this kind of actions...

There’s one at BIg Bear, California, that’s similar, but it’s in a trough like track. Lots of fun, but pricey.

Yeah, we tend to not privately sue much here in New Zealand. Like if I spill a piping hot coffee on myself, well there's only me to blame. If I flew off the corner of a luge track, obviously I was going too fast and it's my fault. The equivalent of Occupational Safety and Health / Work Safe will investigate to see if the company needs to evaluate its safety practices.

All these vids are from Rotorua? I was just there and the tracks are quite different now. There's no place to catch that bit of air anymore. They must've flattened it out.

@@JGold-cu5mo Really. So, if a park blatantly disregards safety and someone is killed the family can't sue?
@@patfranks785 nope, the park would be tested for safety before it opened. then the park would be fined and the owners prosecuted and jailed if found to be negligent. But apart from that its up to you to stay safe and if you cant the government will pay all your med bills and wages until you get better. (80% of your salary). Do try not to kill yourself is the general recommendation.
