That’s beautiful. I have a metal pitcher I bought at thrift store but it has a Christmas themed paper on it. Was debating trying to soak it off but think I will just base paint it and add something to decoupage it. It’s almost identical to your tin with the round creases etc. except it a pitcher. Great inspiration!
This is simply beautiful and I can't wait to try it. I haven't been able to find any napkins where I live that is pretty enough to use. Thanks for showing this method of decoupage.
U r an awesome decor artist for picking up such small objects as decoration additives which we cannot even think of for emblishments on them. I wish i had a small garden where i had followed ur ideas for its whimsical decor 💖💖💖💖
I live your intro. So pretty, you’d never know it was a tin container! Another great idea. Yes I too love wrapping paper. I pick up my paper from Tuesday Morning, not expensive! Love your ideas and technics. Thanks for sharing!
Hello, Patti! I watch your videos all the time to learn the basics and techniques. I have a beautiful napkin that I bought online and went to Lowe's to get a color match for the background. It is going on an old guitar that I salvaged out of the dumpster with it's twin. It's going to look so good! I love learning from you!
Love the shadowing very vintage :) I started off using wrapping paper as I did not know about napkins. There are some gorgeous papers out there! Thank you!
Just started decoupage. Found your channel while searching for instructional videos. I have subscribed because I enjoy your videos and they really have helped me. Thanks! 😊
You are the one and only in this work Also you teach perfectly All your works and videos are excellent You are great Bravo Also so many thanks for your teaching everything in all details
Thank you very much for showing us how to use decoupage with wrapping paper , it was very hard for me to find decoupage napkins in my town where I live in India , this idea has helped me rethink about decoupage once again , I'm going to try this very soon , love from India :)
And I’m going to be able to decorate the metal holiday popcorn containers with our wedding wrapping papers! (that I also saved from 1991, I used some as drawer liners but my drawers aren’t empty so I hardly get to see them) ps: ja! husband, see this habit IS useful jajaja
Exactly! I love that you did the same thing I did, i had to save those papers, not only beautiful but oh so sentimental and my husband does like that. :) Patti
So after I left that other comment, I watched the video -- this is beautiful -- I was wondering when you were going to add the glitter : ) -- I was thinking about you this week, because, I love love love seashells, and i finally did the seashell wreath -- one of your first projects - but I also decoupaged a lot of them last Christmas and added pearls and bling, and they are so pretty on the tree -- I LOVE to decoupage, and so many of the things I really love in my little house are altered treasures, and I owe 100 % of that to you. Whenever I heard decoupage, I thought of paper mache', especially making the dress forms with Barbie Dolls, and doing one of those is how I found your website. You have the best sense of humor -- like the phone ringing, how annoying -- one time you had used an ad to protect your work surface and yankee candle had candles on sale that you just noticed and you said -- oooh, a sale !!! I have to buy flea stuff for the cats next week and I go through your website to do that -- it's not much, I know, but every little bit helps. I don't do any social media -- but I have links to your projects on my pinterest page -- did you put out that really cool silver and glass pitcher, I think it was? You did it last Christmas -- with the birds -- my second-fav of all your projects -- be well, my friend -- best wishes for a successful and prosperous new year -- Hugs, Patricia
Must be what's in a name? We seriously appreciate each other's humor...I also really liked that pitcher with the birds on it, I keep it in the window where the birdies can see it next to the feeder....thank you so much for supporting me Patricia, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you! Patti
Hi, again -- it's Patricia -- It's been so cold here I've kind of been hibernating -- ha -- but I wanted to share this with you -- this is NOT my discovery -- it comes from a channel of a very nice lady, A very happy bird, I think -- anyway, you will love this -- she also uses Triple Thick to coat her projects, and glitter !! -- and she uses a makeup brush from Dollar Tree -- so I went and bought one -- and fell in love -- then I went and bought three more in case they stop selling them -- the handle is white and the brush part is pink -- it also comes in smaller sizes -- the brush easily goes around circles and corners and just is amazing -- I love Mod-Podge and it applies that in a smooth, easy stroke -- really, please give it a try -- I have FINALLY finished decoupaging all these pages of an upcycled photo book I'm making for my best friend in Arkansas -- I'm putting in vintage images of friends -- which I never could have done without your videos showing how to do all of this - I so appreciate your contribution to this wonderful art form -- hopefully TH-cam gets everything straightened out -- I need like 30 more images -- ugh -- and then embellish the pages -- I've been working on this since last fall -- but so far I'm loving it -- all thanks to YOU -- be well, my friend !!
Beautiful! I have a question about wrapping paper in general. I have some paper that would look great decoupaged. But there is a grid on the back. It's a light colored grid. It's cheap paper. So, it's pretty thin. Will the grid show through? Thanks
Honestly patioelf, you deserve an Oscar just for your intros alone! Great job, always so clear and some really great advice.Thanks.

It's hard to find decoupage napkins. But there's lots online. Amazon and eBay. To pay the p and p is worth it for the wider choice you get

You can do the exact same thing with any marker or acrylic paint
