People in my playgroup are begging me NOT to build this because it resembles Nekusaur in its own way. Miserable to play against. But I'm the jund player. Ima build it
This is going to be worse than Nekusar 🤣 play it with Discard effects like Kroxa & Rankle & your opponents can never have a hand again. At least with Nekusar they get the cards, they just won't have the same ones next turn. With this you can say "I hate you, and you'll never not be top decking this game"
Some thoughts on how i want to run this; Kroxa, then of course Painful Quandary, Bandit's Talent, Rack, all the efficient removal. I saw FOMO and that's going in there. Barrowgoyf & Polygoyf, Terror of the Peaks, & Lilliana of the Veil. I have about a dozen other ideas to throw in there, but I'm going to lean heavily on that hand control. I'm about 3 "Rack"s away from commander 8 Rack
I've been wanting to build a tinybones, trinket thief deck but couldn't ever really justify doing it. Now I really want to just include him in this deck and build something a bit more interesting in the process.
I'm trying to build this guy in a way that causes my opponents to draw trough their deck so much that they won't mind the lower handsize as much (they are taking damage from every draw however) so hopefully my winter doesn't get hated out completely
@PubStompMTG I love building commander's that do things that are abnormal to their usual color pie scheme, or lowly used/niche strategy abilities. Example, I have a Boros Nelly Borca Group Hug/Slug goad deck that people actually enjoy playing against even though it's psuedo stacks, says "can't touch this" more than MC Hammer, draws more cards than blue, and can hang with Eldrazi decks. All that to say Jund group hug/slug with a Jin like ability will be absolutely hilarious, fun, and so salt inducing.
