my mate got 1 of these and the rudder is a real pain in the ass, it only turns to the left not the right side. Also, the hull will take some water inside which may end up sinking someone in the middle of the water. I want to buy this but not until your fix these issues. Rudder can be fixed with a few modifications, but the leak is kind of unacceptable. I will wait a few months to see how it goes
Hi Harry, perhaps the rudder cables have gone lose. It is an easy fix, ask your mate to contact us and we can guide him. The water in the hull can only enter if the centre hatch was left open and water was sitting on the deck.
@@Kayaks2FishAU Thanks, last time we went out with him and there was a lot of splashing. A fair bit of water gets in side and the yak feels like a half-full water bottle he said lol. Would that be an easy fix? I want to get mine asap but need to clear these issues of my head. Cheers

Were could I get just that black box I purchased a Vanhunks Mahi Mahi 11 should be the same exact hull the way you mount the drive in looks a hole lot better than the Vanhunks version
Is there a way to completely remove the pedals without water getting in to have as much standing room to move around ? Or can the pedals fold down completely ?

What kayak model do you have? We do sell the Pedal drive box separately which is suitable for our kayaks.

You can remove the pedal drive out of the way if you want to. Pedals can not fold down all the way.
