I remember when I first rode this, I was so scared on 1:23 through 1:41 It really saddens me this ride closed...I went on it a couple of weeks after it had opened. And so many years have passed, hoping I would ride it again some day... Guess it’s too late, 13 years too late. *Syndrome’s voice*
I know how you feel. I haven't been able to return to Busch Gardens since 2005 [its a lot of hours away from where I live] I always hoped to go back there one day and ride this ride again, but now I can't...
I really miss curse of dark castle it was such a wonderful ride it was way better than dark coaster but dark castle will always be remembered as the best ride ever
I don't think this particular footage is available anywhere anymore, except for here. However, you can still find bits and pieces of footage on Super78's website. They are the company that worked on the animation for the ride.
Cassius Jin In the updated version, you would think even more so that Ludwig would be able to get the guests with his far more desperate attempts. I also prefer the original voice acting for the mother. Listen to her whispering in the ballroom scene especially. Her voice has a much lower timbre, which is much more authentic for an older German lady. It's too much of a Soap Opera right now, and not in a really good way.
Exactly! Honestly his story interests me so much, I've written him into my comic. :) He plays an important role. But yeah, like the mother seems to be much more afraid here and he's legit threatening.
This was always my favorite ride, I'm a little sad it had to end. I hope DarKoaster lives up to our expectations. Btw, I always think the character of Ludwig was inspired by werewolves and vampires, like Bram Stoker's Dracula.
I remember some kinda 3D like show from the late 90s thought it was King Arthur something idk but I loved that so much!! Wish I could experience that again
There are three scenes changed from the ride from the 2005 version, the first one, the food, and the ballroom, I don't mind the newer version of the first scene and the food, but the new version of the ballroom is worse, when the tour is about to reach new heights, it does not fit in with the ride, and the original ballroom made more sense with the story, and on the newer version the whole castle practically gets destroyed, it looks a little too unrealistic.
@toykyle1 Yes, however if your intention is to sync the audio with a current video of the ride, it won't work. Most of the actual video footage on the ride has been updated since this version. I will try to upload a more current video, but I can't provide the video for the fireplace scene. You'll have to record your own audio for that. I hope this was of help.
Yes, this scene was only part of the ride during its first season in 2005. In 2006, they replaced it with the flying towers sequence. More recently, though, the whole ride was removed, but they are making way for a new indoor coaster called DarKoaster.
heads up I found a link to the entire length of the ride as it appeared in 2005: th-cam.com/video/DPbqyOsf6rY/w-d-xo.html NOTE: Guests were on the ride at the time of filming.
I loved the story and initial design of this ride, but the refurbishment kinda disappointed me a bit. I'm not very fond of snakes. Probably a good reason why I didn't ride this again.
I don’t have a higher quality video of this version, because this was a while ago, but I have this updated version. I used to have it unlisted on ParkFans, but here is a link. th-cam.com/video/pAyqtEiMBbU/w-d-xo.html
It was on a public site by one of the ride’s animation designers years ago that I am pretty sure no longer exists. There wasn’t really anything else DarKastle-related on that site, though.
@@CastleOSullivan Neat! Goes without saying, this one one of the cleaner(ish) rips of the raw footage, especially of the pre-2006 version. R.I.P Curse of darkastle u will always be remembered as one of the best darkrides ever❤️😥
It's coming back as a roller Coaster
@@CrazyManhog the roller coaster is DOOKIE
A friend of mine and I went on this ride 5 times!
It never got old. I wanna see an animated movie about this!!!
Music: Alan Silvestri and John Van Tongeren(2004)
Directed by:Stephen Sommers and Sharon Bridgeman

Why did they take out the dancing scene? It really ties the story together.
The name of the voice actor that played King Ludwig is Tom Cassidy.
CastleOSullivan Give me the cast of the ride please
*Thomas Rohe. Tom Cassidy was a stage name.
Is Cassidy still alive somehow? I tried looking at IMDB to see if it would give me anything. I just want to make sure.

CastleOSullivan where on Super 78’s website can I find it
i looked on the website and all i found where just images from the ride
Some Music
was from Van Helsing
By Alan Silvestri?
I honestly prefer this version. The story about Ludwig isn't a happy one. Plus he's much more intimidating here then he is in the other version.

Busch Gardens prides itself on being a family park, and there was a lot of concern about the wine
AnimeNiacMayumi a park founded on being a brewery of beer is worried about wine?
It’s literally a beer garden
Okay karen

I was just at Busch Gardens a couple of days ago and went on this ride. In most respects, I'd say the 3-day video is better now.

darKastle should be movie.
Thanks for uploading!
i thought Marie was voiced by Tress McNeille

The used the music from the Van Helsing Movie :)
Alan Silvestri?
Why is it that I just realized that Ludwig throws his dancing partner in the ballroom scene?
How did I miss that?
Because they removed it
i knew it was different!!
awesome
This is awesome!

@@CastleOSullivan Absolutely terrible coaster...It's a joke in comparison to this.
Can you try to upload the 2006 version
Quick question: when did the air cannons get added that are right after the food scene because I don’t think they where there when it opene
I’m pretty sure they were added in 2006, which was the ride’s second season.

How'd you get the original footage of the ride?
could i use your audio for editing to make the audio look like just the ride's duration?
what about the 2006 can you do that and how do i make this ride on rct3
@ 1:56-1:58, Ludwig almost sound like Tim Curry.
