Leona really needs to come back with a proper ballad or a duet. One that she will be remembered for. The reason why I don't think she gets as much credit or recognition now, is because she hasn't come out with her own signature song yet. It be like other artists who have, such as Mariah Carey's Hero, Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On or Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You....She needs to start writing songs that will connect with people not just passionately but emotionally. The difference now to when she was on the X Factor was that people believed in her because she had the ability to touch the hearts of people, put real emotion in, to take the song to another level and make the covers her own but now I just don't feel or get anything much from her songs, it's almost like there is something missing, maybe it's the passion, the confidence, the drive or maybe it's emotion who knows but one thing is, I sure would love to see her relax a bit more when she performs and not look so serious, where is that spark or vulnerability and innocence? I think I remember of lot of that when she sang her amazing rendition of "run" "sorry seems to be the hardest word and "somewhere over the rainbow". I really don't mean to sound harsh or critical but I kind of feel sometimes that Leona puts up this wall to hide or block out her feelings, perhaps it's easier and safer to allow her fans and the wider audience to take on the burden and the emotional meaning of the song lyrics and then interpret and feel it for themselves rather then making it completely her own, stripped back and personal, which is fine but I guess what I'm trying to say is sometimes we can't always unravel the whole truth within the lyrics for our own experience when there is a mask put on it, maybe its the thought of exposure or the fear of exposure is what's holding her back, there is nothing to be ashamed of in sharing emotional pain, anger, tears etc. Her voice has this unique tone & quality and I think she should use it to her best advantage.

well I believe she can have a big come back at some point. As I say she needs a proper mananger/management and I think she really needs to run like the bull and duet with Mariah...I always, always wanted to hear them sing together like for a Disney movie or just a casual collaboration whatever but honestly. Leona has a lot going on at the moment and writing songs, I guess Leona wanted to go down the sort of autotune, dance, soul route if you know what I mean? Instead of Simon trying turn her into this new Mariah Carey, full of ballads and gospel elements. But the song she sang on x Factor where perfect choices and really I'd rather just hear her something totally stripped back , with a piana, some guitar, etc. but not too much because her voice is very powerful.
Well I know she is doing stripped back stuff when I said auto tune - maybe I didn't make myself clear....On her recent albums especially this one I AM there is a lot of music percussions and stuff and for me it kinda mellows out her voice, over powers it if your know what I mean? I just want her to sing how she sang like back on X Factor without all these editing...It's too much I like to hear her do a nice ballad with just a piano and some soft backing track. I want to hear her voice clearly and she sings like an angel.
