    I have been watching your quick tips for some time now and I have also subscribed to your master course and love it. I am almost 80 years old and I need to keep reviewing your lessons but the fact that I can review them is the main reason I purchased the lessons. Please keep up the great work, I love learning from your.

    ABSOLUTE GOLD!!! Thank you for making a quick and concise tutorial with no unnecessary fluff or straying off subject. I just subscribed and can't wait to learn more from you. I'm very familiar with CAD but I am completely new to CAM and especially V-carve/aspire. Your style of presentation is perfect and at a great pace to make it quick, but not too quick. Please keep up the good work.

      Wow, thank you for your kind words! You've just made my day brighter than a freshly polished gold nugget. I'm so thrilled to hear that you found the tutorial helpful. Your 'no-nonsense' appreciation is what drives me to cut through the fluff and get straight to the point. 🚂Welcome aboard the learning express, next stop - mastering V-carve/aspire. Remember, we've got a fast track, but we always stop for questions. Buckle up, because the journey's just getting started! Thanks for subscribing, and as always, keep learning! 🚀👍

    There is also a Recalculate All Toolpaths button in Toolpaths (2 above Save Toolpaths button).

    I thought you were going to reveal some hidden shortcut to rotate the whole job. I was going back and forth with job dimensions for over a year and eventually I switched that duty from Vcarve to bCNC to save time and frustration. There are a lot better options out there to rotate code from a design that was drawn right side up to the user because it's easier for us to work on. Making a new sheet and copying the vectors, rotating, redoing toolpaths can all be put to bed by just rotating your saved gcode in the controller of your choice. If it doesn't have that option, get one that does.

    I was super excited about this until 7:30 because I need to perform a rotate on a two sided job. Hopefully Vectric introduced the ability to just rotate the entire project. I think I'm going to resort to my CNC controllers (WinCNC) "Rotation Mode" G52.1 instead although that will make me nervous since it is double sided.

      I'm with you on hoping someday we can rotate the project instead of rebuilding it the other way.

    In stead off all the copy to sheet just rotate original design change job set up dementions x and y numbers en hit to re calculate tool path . Then save project under rotate 90 degrees. Faster and easier.

      Good suggestion! That's what I normally used to do but I showed it this way to make use of the new sheet feature as well. You are correct though, that way is faster.

    Is it possible to rotate only 45deg? My machine is 32x32, but sometimes need to cut longer and orienting bottom left to upper right would get me over 40".

      He says in the video how to rotate 45 deg. Use the 9 or 0 keys

    I have vectric aspire designed guitar neck double sided file. It is positioned horizontally but my machine isn't wide enough to cut it. So how do you rotate a 2 sided file?

    Or maybe get behind your controller and swap X and Y output cables. Job done. Forever. Design as normal.

    • @LearnYourCNC
      @LearnYourCNC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a good idea but not possible on all machines.

    Thanks for this great explaination. Unfortunately, I spend almost as much time tweaking my toolpaths as I do with the design. It's a shame I have to recreate the toolpaths. Also, If I try the technique of resizing the job dimensions (switching X/Y values), and then select all of my 2D drawing and rotate 90, it always screws up the toolpath recalculation. I've tried this on two separate drawings. It starts by telling me my model thickness exceeds material thickness. It DIDN'T before it was rotated. I can't imagine what I'm doing wrong. Almost ALL my drawings need to be rotated, am I unique with this? Why wouldn't Vetrics add the feature to swap X/Y??? I'm just venting. You did great, and thank you again!

      I do it more often than not. I stopped using vcarve for the rotation. I save my code and rotate it in the sender I use. Using bCNC and it rotates code pretty fast. Also look at Gcode ripper.

    Don’t watch Kyle. Unless you want a straight forward, easy to follow explanation/demonstration on how to easily accomplish a process you once thought virtually impossible. Thanks Kyle, another highly informative video.

    Great tip. I was trying to figure out how to set the Z Zero Position for different toolpaths (material surface for v carve and machine bed for profile) and this will do the trick. Thanks.
