This is the best video so far. Well explained and thorough. No rubbish background music overpowering your voice. However, my car won't bleed as I can hear a leak when priming the filter out end and no fuel comes out?
@Chris_CDB thanks for your reply. I split the seal when fitting the filter housing on. I bought a new filter and replaced the seal, followed your bleeding method, and my Galaxy is alive again. Cheers 🍻
If the car has a lift pump (electric pump in the fuel tank) then yes you can cycle the ignition a few times to prime… however …in this case there is no lift pump… so you need to manually bleed the fuel system….. hence the video.!
İ had fuel filter replaced and alternator, vehicle doesn't start now shows up code p0087 for low fuel pressure rail, the pipes going to the fuel filter are off and when cranked no fuel is coming to the pipes as well. What can the issue be?
@@Chris_CDB bought 8mm tube but didnt get good seal. I didnt disconnect the in and out tubes, likewise i filled up the reservoir when i put the new filter in. So just started it and no probs !!
Brilliant video there thanks for sharing that information very well explained 😊
No problem at all
You dont need to disconnect the return line at all but everything else is spot on cheers for the help 👍
From someone who has done hundreds…. You may get lucky.. (which it seems you did), but most won’t and you will need to pull the fuel through the pump.
Thanks. Doing this tomorrow. Thought I would be a real man and check YT first 😀
Great video , thanks for sharing
Not a problem! Good to know it helped!

You will need to pull a decent vacuum to get the fuel up, or you don’t have a pipe connected properly to the fikter

Hi, nice video. What vacuum pump are you using please? It looks pretty decent, I want one, 😅. TIA.
It is one of the “oil extractor” tanks that you usually use to suck the oil from the dipstick hole.
ford kuga wont start can you use any pump
Could you use battery pump to get the air out
@@user-dh3lh4cs7w I mean if it’s got enough suck but it may burn it out as it’s not pulling fuel “unrestricted” as such!
Good job....cheers.
what size do i need to have on the hose to fit the connector?
@@mrconta believe it’s 8mm internal diameter hose
@@Chris_CDB thanks
Is it really necessary to vacuumsuck? Isn't it possible to cranck the engine like in a petrol car?

Ok, i see.
Do you by the way know what inner size on the hose i need to use on the connections?
@@larseriksson85618mm inside on the return pipe and 10mm inside diameter the fuel out pipe
Good thanks
No problems!

The fuel system will need bleeding as per this video, there is no pump in the tank to prime the system.
Which year model
He said 2013
What size of tube do i need to attach to the return tube to bleed / get rid of the air ?
10mm ?
10 or 8 mm will do the trick.

Worst. Hose clips. Ever.
Pretty standard across the motor trade to be honest
@@Chris_CDB Mine are snapped, and I have to use a screwdriver to get it in and out. I could design a better clip myself.
Maybe do that and get onto the motoring big boys with your improved design.!
@@Chris_CDB Meh I got better things to design 😉
I just cranked it until it started, they are a self-bleeding system.............doh!
Seems 13k people disagree with this statement…!
