Your painting skills have progressed amazingly and are awesome. This little snarly snaily dude is quite funny and I really enjoyed watching the creation progress. Might I suggest getting some pastel sticks, grinding them or scrapping them and using them as detailing powders (this is the cheapest option, or you could buy them ready powdered by people like MIG, AMMO, Tamiya, Humbrol), as these will enhance your sculptures texture.
