    310mm vs a 330mm rotor differences are HUGE. the brake pad has a 3cm surface area on the rotor. switching to a 330mm oversized rotor from a 310 as standard means you get an additional ~30% more surface area per rotation. so with the same pump and brake calipers you get more stopping power. the downside is that now you will have more rotating mass on the front wheel. regardless if the new rotors are same(or lighter) weight as the originals, they will be bigger, so the gyroscopic effect will have a small negative impact. i have done it, so i know 😄

      Great explanation. We are going with lighter wheels from factory, so it may offset things a little!

      Its also about the bigger leverage that comes with a bigger rotor which produces more torque with the same pressure

      @damienmcmurray9786 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don’t get more stopping power. You get more heat dissipation over time. If you’re not having problems at the track then you don’t need this upgrade. There are plenty of engineering and technical videos on this subject.

      @antonfloor344 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On a circuit maybe, but it’s a waste of money for other 95%.

      @@damienmcmurray9786 true about dissapation however not quite right.... You do increase stopping power using the exsisting brake effort by multiply tourque. more effort (energy) and time is required when trying to stop a rotating mass by using friction placed near its center of rotation verses trying to stop a rotating mass from friction placed near its perimeter.... so while you are correct about the gain in thermal efficiency it is also correct that you increase stopping power by moving the torque moment out wards from center. A great example of this is using a breaker bar slid over your tyre iron to undo a stuborn wheel nut... you are mutiplying the applied tourque but still using the same input force.

    Great video. I have a 2023 SF V2, is it the same screen protector? Looked on your site, but couldn’t find it specifically for the V2.

    I just got these radiator guards for my v2 and I’m pretty sure these are for a 1299 they work but the fit isn’t that great

    • @Motomillion
      @Motomillion  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The radiator and the shrouds are the same as the 1299. If you follow the way we installed it, the fit is pretty good. If not we would never install them on our own bikes.

    Why would you ever need a screenprotector? How would you damage it?

    • @Motomillion
      @Motomillion  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cleaning it. Very common for the screen to get damaged when you wipe it.

    What’s the torque spec on the calipers

    • @ArisBalomenos
      @ArisBalomenos 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe they need to be 45 Nm / 33.2 lb-ft.

  • @abyalex235
    @abyalex235 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why don't you use Futurismoto fender eliminator?

    • @Motomillion
      @Motomillion  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Weight and the lack of wider and brighter turn signals. We aren’t knocking on them though, we just think NRC is the best, all things considered.

    Sorry to disagree on most as those are catering to the squids who chooses form over function.
    However I agree with #1 Rad guards and #6 Tank protector against zipper and belt wear.
    My List:
    #1. Rad guards
    #2. Tank protector
    #3. Throttle Spacers (rid that dreaded throttle slop)
    #4. Gearing change (-1F cheap, +2R better) as all Ducatis are geared too long.
    #5. Short levers (more comfort for two finger action).
    Most important, spend on stands, a wheel chock*, maintenance tools and supplies.
    Then, bling all you want.
    * Why the wheel chock? I've dropped the Pani twice in the garage. Call it carelessness, stupidity whatever. The one time, I was reaching out for my rear stand and as I turned around to grab it the bike fell off the side-stand like in slow motion. Noooooo. Never again for me. Park it in a wheel chock. It's also awesome for trailering.

    Why not provide the torque specs?
    You show no detail on the radiator guard protection.

    • @Motomillion

      Because it is best to check your service manual for your torque specs. We are not making "HOW TO" videos or raising mechanics.

    I have nothing against keeping a motorcycle looking nice and frankly I love the lines of a great bike and can find myself just staring at them between rides. But what I can never get is how many people the looks of their motorcycle is like the paramount thing? WTF? To me these are toys designed to thrill AS you put them through theit paces! AS you experience their performance and capabilities (particularly when putting other machine and riders to shame I mean what feels better than THAT?) But for the many folks I come across that spare no expense "improving" their bike's asthetics? Endlessly polishing and stuff? I am just WTF? lol. Sort of reminds me primping women that cant spend enough of clothing and shoes and hairdos jewlrey etc that can never go anywhere without taking for Fing ever to "get ready" lol again WTF?? SIgh whatever.....just felt like ranting about this pet peeve ....I imagine I sicken some folks because my bike has some smudges on the paintwork and a little bit of grime here and there....whatever I did not buy it for looks I bought it to ride the piss out of!
