Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) of Cancer

A "4th strategy" approach to cancer therapy (other than surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy): boron compounds are taken up preferentially by cancer cells that are then bombarded with thermal neutrons (without the side-effects of radiotherapy) which then kill the boron-containing cancer cells. Only works with certain cancers and only Japan mainly using this therapy.
