    Hi. Great video. In risk reward analysis , you calculated the risk for the ES credit spread as $437.50. My calculation shows the risk should be $687.50. Here’s my calculation: the spread between the strikes is 15 points (3715 - 3700), and each point is worth $50, so 15 * $50 = $750. Subtracting the $62.50 credit, the risk is $750 - $62.50 = $687.50. Can you explain how you arrived at $437.50?

    Hi @SimpleOptionStrategies,
    was the Risk/Reward of the first example, /ES Credit Spread, correctly calculated?
    The spread is 3715/3700, which gives a with of 15. The multiplier is 50, so that would give 750 of risk minus the credit of 62.50. In total that would be 687.50/62.50.
    It seems like, the calculation was done for a 10 point wide spread.

      You are correct, that was a typo when I used that example. I’ll see if I can correct in the video. Thanks for catching that.

    Would love to see a video about just your trade entry signaling that goes into specific detail on all of your pre-market routine requirements and what you need to specifically see within all those parameters in order to determine the direction of your intraday credit spread trades - believe it or not, becoming skillful at trade entries is one of the major areas that challenges new and even intermediate traders the most!

      Great suggestion! While I initially do not trade based on direction because I use implied volatility at the beginning of the trading session, I do at times place directional trades based on market trend. I will keep that on the list for another video. Thanks again!

    You're forgetting to mention if you trade the SPX options you have to worry about the WASH Sale Rule.

    What happen when you were assign an option on future trade? If spx is 3760 to 3757.50, the US$125 lost is net after deducting the opening premium of 1.30 credit as per video played at 39:57 ?

    First of all, thank you for this video. I would like to implement the wheel strategy using options on /MES and "want" assignment (so I would trade at higher delta). When you get assigned a contract, how much of your capital is used upon assignment? I understand everything else, but I haven't a clue how much a contract would cost (I can not find this anywhere in the web nor on CME's website). Thank you in advance for answering the question that I have been searching for for days.

    • @SimpleOptionStrategies
      @SimpleOptionStrategies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This not a typical scenario. First to get assigned you would need to open an options on futures position. The margin for each contract is $1000. If you get assigned the futres contract requires around $1,300 if you hold overnight. Other brokers like Tradovate only requires $100 for day trading. Hope that helps.

    Hi, i have a doubt that , i am selling 1 CONTRACT ES option and it is closed in ITM, 1 future contract assigned, what is the next step , i don't want assigned future.

    • @SimpleOptionStrategies
      @SimpleOptionStrategies  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it a spread or a single option? If it’s a spread and it falls in the money before expiration, you will get assigned a futures contract. If it’s deep in the money then it will be cash settled.

    Do /ES 0DTE verticals expire worthless at 4:00pm if not at short strike? Or do you have to close it to avoid overnight risk?

    • @SimpleOptionStrategies
      @SimpleOptionStrategies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They expire at 4 pm and if the short strike is ITM, the assignment is a futures contract based on the number of options contracts.
