Great video: I was not surprised by the graffiti on the outside of the trains but was appalled by the defacement on the inside. It is extremely rare for any rolling stock to be defaced in Ireland but when it does happen, the carriages are taken out of service immediately for cleaning.
That rolling stock is the most rare on the entirety of the network, and used on the least frequented line. Their maintenance is not as highly prioritized as that of the more common and well-maintained trains from later in the video. It’s also very costly to clean trains that are constantly vandalized and that are planned to eventually be removed from the network.

Whoa, I visited Bucharest in 2017 and I don't recall seeing those extremely vandalised trains :( Why are some of them so neglected while others are kept clean and nice?
It costs a very large amount to constantly clean trains that are constantly vandalized. They are also only used on the least frequented line of the network and rarely on more significant ones. They’re also so old and since they do the job anyways, might as well spend the budget on more important matters. As the previous reply said, they’ll be scrapped, hopefully as soon as possible but for the moment that’s how it is.
