I was a bit shocked when I learned, that Marcos is not part of the band anymore. He was like the perfect fit and he was one of the nicest dudes I've ever met. Anyway, nice that you keep rolling forward and keep rocking now with four musicians on stage! When I think of the greatest albums of all times, 'End of all days' will always come to mind first. For me it is a solid 12/10 and to this day probably the only album for me, that I would consider truly perfect. Thinking that this album was made with two guitarists, I am full of hope that you can once again make an album with an unprecedented impact! Rage on and can't wait to see you on stage.

Сейчас меня закидают чем попало, но черт возьми, состав того времени - Пиви,два греческих брата и Свен, на мой взгляд был самым мощным. Никогда RAGE не звучал так жестко и зло, при всем уважении к Мани и Виктору. Хотелось бы услышать что то в этом же ключе, очень надеюсь на это!
Rage is my wife's favourite band, and Marcos were great. I said for years. Rage is not the same without dual guitars. Marcos will be rembered as a killer single guitarist. We have seen Rage live two times Marcos.
Loved the video. I miss Marcos he had a very unique sound but let's keep in mind that we can't judge the new members before we listen to some new material. And it won't be a question of technical prowess, at this level that's something that goes without saying, it will be more about sound, taste and melodic ideas. We will see...
Same thought here! I loved Marcos addition and I wasn't expect his departure since he looked so integrated to the band. Well, it happened and I also love the fact that they have two guitars again. Let's see what will come and I can't wait to see these new guys live and with New material.
I hope they go a bit more progressive like they did with Victor Smolski. I love Rage but the very straight forward metal gets kinda boring at times. This sounds killer though.

Two guitarists to be able to make the sound of Marcos Rodriguez, I really miss his charisma style and his choirs are really needed in the bamda hopefully he returns.
I like it, raw sound, good playing...only thing I don't like is that they changed the solo... don't change a perfect solo from an iconic song!! Aside from that, good first impression of the new line-up - curious to hear first new material with them...right now they have lots of time to write. ;)
I absolutely agree, they should've kept the original solo. I was expecting it and then - nothing. It's not bad, but the original fits better. However, nobody was ever able to play Spiros' solos the way he did and with the sound he had. The songs only sounded good when *he* played them, may it be in the studio or live. So I bet they changed it precisely because it wouldn't sound as good.

One of my favourite songs of Rage and it has to be played live more often! Especially the part at 3:09 kicks so much ass and is real Heavy Metal! But not as much as in the original from 1995. Is it the changed riff, the production? I don`t know, but I was a little disappointed when I heared it the first time :/
It's because of the different solo. The production is godlike, but the solo is what disappointed me. Hmmm, but the reason why it doesn't sound as good could also be because of Peavy's voice, it's quite different from how it was in '95 and I too think it sounded a bit more kickass back then.
Well, I certainly didn't expect to hear a remake of one of my favourite songs. Peavy's voice is a bit dimmed compared to the Black In Mind studio recording, but he's holding up incredibly well against the age. It's not a given that a band can re-record a song after 25 years and not ruin it.

As a note to all of you who miss Victor: He left because he ran out of ideas and didn't want to be in the band anymore. If he by some miracle hadn't left, the songs Rage made since 2015 would never exist and the songs that Victor would make would all be empty and boring (like the album 21 except for a few songs), and there probably wouldn't be nearly as many. Yes, he is a god on guitar, but he ran out of "Rage steam" and had nothing left. Don't miss Victor, it's a good thing he isn't in Rage anymore. Cherish the awesome songs he'd made before, and if you want to see him again, check out his own band Almanac.
Almanac is unfortunately not nearly as good as what he did in Rage. ;) Peavy and him had great chemistry for a couple of albums unti they wanted different things and grew apart. I still miss him, though I agree with you...it's unlikely further albums with him would have had the same quality as earlier ones. It is as it is, I'm glad I saw them live 4 times. I miss André too btw...nothing against Lucky, but on the drums I think he is the weakest drummer Rage ever had. And especially compared to André he brings a lot less to the band. But Rage with him and Marcos was also great and so will be the upcoming Rage for sure - Peavy can't really disappoint. ;)

There's no need to miss Victor...he was a part on an era,but he had one pattern all of the time in Rage,always the same or similar harmonies in songs,Peavy tried to bring back the sound of Rage from the 90ties and had a great job with Marcos,......Refuge project with Manni is a biggest indicator for that sound,but.....destiny.....otherwise,this two guys,again with 2 guitars will be,I hope,truly "back to the roots"...Vassilios doing a very good job in drum section,I always believed in Peavy's lineup choices and he couldn't ever can disappoint me!Greetings from Belgrade,Serbia!

@Martin Gonczy That used to be very true, especially regarding the albums Unity and Soundchaser. Come to think of it, if you like Victor's playing, there's not just Almanac. Check out the band he's been in since before he joined Rage -> Mind Odyssey. Their songs are progressive metal, although not necessarily. You can find some very good songs. I can't remember all of the great ones, but off the top of my head I think Schizophenia, Evolution, In The Dark or Golden Age are definitely brilliant songs. There's way more, I just can't remember. Defo check em out tho ;D

Yeah there's a reason Peavy's not playing songs from '90 and back. He wouldn't be able to sing them the way he did back then - but what he could do is record a song in the spirit of the album Perfect Man, just a bit adjusted to 2020.

Conoci en persona a Marcos Rodríguez y es un muy buen guitarrista.tipo muy humilde y simpático. Al igual que Lucky. Pero con el unico guitarrista que me quedo es con Manny schmidt. Para mi,el dejo la batuta muy alta desde el 87 hasta el 94. Sobretodo con el album The missing link que para mi,es uno de los mas Thrash y espectaculares que haya escuchado.

Yeah there's a reason Peavy's not playing songs from '90 and back. He wouldn't be able to sing them the way he did back then - but what he could do is record a song in the spirit of the album Perfect Man, just a bit adjusted to 2020.

@@carloscirigliano859 concuerdo contigo en el orden que diste. Tal cuál,esos guitarristas encajaron en cada época (etapa) de Rage. Conoci en persona a Marcos Rodríguez y es un muy buen guitarrista.tipo muy humilde y simpático. Al igual que Lucky. Pero con el unico guitarrista que me quedo es con Manny schmidt. Para mi,el dejo la batuta muy alta desde el 87 hasta el 94. Sobretodo con el album The missing link que para mi,es uno de los mas Thrash y espectaculares que haya escuchado.
