    Another good video,
    Solid explanations of your strategy too. I find it very informative and useful. Even though I haven’t quite developed my fly fishing skills yet. Just waiting for our Melbourne lockdown to finish and I’ll be picking up my fly rod and giving it a crack.

      Good stuff Jay! I highly recommend get a casting lesson or 2 at the start if you can. :)

      Peachy Fly Fishing will definitely look at it. Guessing it is best not to learn bad habits from the start.

    Saw you fishing that day. I was fishing off the rocks a bit further up. Caught a 45cm to 50cm Trev awesome fight that was. I think I caught the same flattie you caught. Was around the same size. Good spot to fish 🎣

      Peachy Fly Fishing Not sure if you’re allowed to go further up river in your boat but the mangroves around Rydalmere hold big bream. Maybe you could give it a shot. Keep the awesome vids coming. 👌

      @@chunglee763 Thanks mate! Yeah I'm not sure if your allowed to go up past where Duck Creek comes in, have to do a bit of research on that! :)

      @Chung Lee I just checked the latest RMS maps, upstream of Silverwater Bridge is closed to all recreational vessels. Bummer! ;)

      @@PeachyFlyFishing love the bead chain you use too .. not shiny seems more subtle .. do you find that better .. or not a critical issue .. are you fishing the shrimp on a full floater .. fly heavy enough to get to the fish? Cheers Steve

    • @PeachyFlyFishing
      @PeachyFlyFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@saratoga1956 Yes I like the more dull coloured bead chain for this, it's not supposed to stand out as it's part of the tail, you want the shrimp eyes to stand out. Yeah I fish them on a floater with a long fluorocarbon leader, that works for water up to about 12-15 feet. Beyond that you would want some kind of sinking line. :)

      Thats the one 👍 The Scott 806/3 Warm Water Special is another great option for fishing tight structure. (if ya can find one) Regret letting mine go 🤦‍♂️

      Looking forward to your update on Euro Hanak 3wt with OPST commando smooth on trout water. Interested if you find you can fish upstream with it as well as swinging.

    • @PeachyFlyFishing
      @PeachyFlyFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brucechappell1550 Should fish upstream fine I think, the SA Sonar tips work nicely with the commando heads and taper off to a finer point, so it should present the fly a bit more gently. :)
