EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I cannot hear this song without thinking about holding my Grandma’s hand in the hospital as she passed away. This song is fantastic!
My middle brother unfortunately experienced this feeling. My mom gave him up at the age of 11 and he was in foster care until he was 18. I hate that he had to grow up like that...
I relate to the other side of this issue. My parents took in many foster kids, often from abusive homes & we did become attached. Infact, after doing it for years, we got a new baby from the hospital & she didn't get placed for over a year. By then we all loved her like our own & my mom in particular was devastated. Daddy said no more foster kids, because it chipped away at all of us, because we did love all those kids & it hurt to lose them. Instead, my folks adopted my sister. Best thing that everhappened to our family. We are grandmothers now & our brothers & parents are gone. I am so blessed to have my sister.
I have loved this song from the moment I first heard it. I grew up in foster care from age 11 until 18. Never ended up in a good foster home. At. The ripe o 5:03 ld age of 61 I can tell you that I have always felt unloved and unwanted. It's a feeling that's hard to shake.
Carrie began utilizing her faith through music in 2016, not yet 10 years ago. This wasn’t young Carrie, this was after she’d married and had one of her children. She has released an entire gospel album since and she takes you to church with that one. I’d highly recommend trying “How Great Thou Art” and you’ll get the feels on that one! Enjoy!
I'll be honest...I havent watched this video in..I dont even know how long...I forgot about the scene with her grandfather...I was at my grandfathers bedside when he passed 2 years ago and that just broke me
