Hello Hearth!! Just curious if....where did you get the beautiful drawing on your alter of the caldron? If you mentioned it then I might have missed it but I think it's beautiful and would love to buy one as well. Thanks in advance and Blessings 🕯️ 🎃🕯️
After all these years (probably hasn't been so long but have been here since your beginnings) you're still here being as informative and passionate as ever. Blessed Samhain season beautiful 🧡 🎃🍂
Thanks so much for sharing. Every Samhain I have a bonfire with my husband. We burn the receipts from all the bills we've paid during the year. We send our thanks out into the universe for all the abundance we've received and ask for continued prosperity. It's become my favorite Samhain tradition. Love your videos. Blessed Be from Phoenix, Arizona USA.💀😻🎃🐈⬛👻
I can say I have the best of both worlds when it comes to the Samhain season. My dad is British and hence I connect to a Celtic past... and my mom is Mexican, which gives me a direct connection to the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) which takes place from Oct. 31st to Nov. 2. I have my Celtic pagan Samhain altar on one side, and a Mexican "ofrenda" for the dead right next to it. I have always marvelled at how regardless of distance, all these ancient traditions regarding honoring the dead seem to align to this time of the year. This duality has given me plenty of flexibility to delve deep into honoring my ancestors from 2 different angles.
Shadow work, cleansing, honoring the ancestors. I do one large tarot reading, one card for each month. I also scry using a black mirror. Thank you for sharing your traditions with us. Love your altar too!
if anyone is wanting some ideas for window and door cleansing and protections, here’s what i use: a strong window cleaner followed by an all purpose one for cleansing (you can off do both or either of them) for protection i do an herb mix of basil, rosemary, black pepper, salt, and garlic steeped in any kind of charged or uncharged water (or both) mixed with either white vinagre or vodka. i wipe down my doors and windows with the cleansers and then. the protective mixture. make sure to wipe up any spills that happen off the floor and make sure your windows and doors are wiped dry if you have any pets, just to make sure they don’t ingest any of it :3 thanks Hearth for the wonderful video!
I feed my servitors and familiars on a routine basis so it's harder for me to forget them. I give them fresh water every 3 days, incense and coffee several times a week and once a month I feed them from my energy directly.
Damm, you are so knowledgeable, I know witchcraft is for everyone, the "funny " thing about of this is that I am a straight man, 37 years old and atheist, but since I was a teenager I was drown to the occult, to the supernatural, to magick, as they said, you can try to deny it for as long a you can, but when it calls for you, you can not resist forever. And congratulations, I loved your content, you are very detail oriented, you gave me a lot of ideas and got my subscription, thank you and blessed be!!
I set up an ofrenda (Día de los muertos) for those who've passed. Not a full on ancestors altar, specifically, but a place of remembrance and love. It's near my Samhain altar.
Just had to pause the video to say you're totally right about ancestor altars. We have my great aunt's ashes on a cube shelf and burn candles, share food with her etc. Because I'm of Hong Kong Chinese descent. And the veil thinning is something I've noticed as well. It's much easier for me to remote view (8 guess that's similar to scrying, it's the term used by the CIA in their attempts to use witchcraft against the Soviet Union in the Cold War - sounds insane but Jon Ronson and others have written books about it). And I can astral project much easier from roughly October 30-November 4th. Great content as always ❤️
I scry on Samhain as well. I use a bowl of water or if I’m at a bonfire, flame. A few years ago I went to one of those “paint your own pottery“ places and painted my scrying bowl. The outside is white and covered in symbols. The inside is solid black. This year I’ve gotten some scrying ink and I am excited to try it. This year I will be gathering with my magical circle for ceremony and cauldrons full of soup!
I dont have an ancestor alter yet so i just made a wall in my hallway with pictures of all of my family . i can walk by and look at them anytime throughout the day and stay connected to them that way . its affordable and convenient . you can also just tape photos to your bedroom mirror around where your face would be that way everytime you look in the mirror your family and ly is all there looking back at you . anyway lol great video for getting motivated in autumn . this time of year i always get a refreshing boost of energy and its good to have direction . happy samhain!
I love the idea of using the water cleansing ritual water to water plants, it's like transforming the negative aspects of your life or things you've outgrown into something beautiful and productive so it's still part of your story. It honors the time you spent dealing wikth the issue and growing from it!
First time i finally understand scrying tysm ❤ Every year between Mabon and Samhain is where i feel the most connected to my practice, i had years where it was more witchy, but this year is fully mundane. After years of piling things in my flat i found the motivation to tidy up what is like a month worth of work and cleaning, it’s a lot, but i love the idea of it happening at this time of the wheel. I’m finding so many spiders that it brang me back to my witchy side, they are really fitting for this time in my Life so when îll be done, around Samhain or just after i’ll throw a little ceremony about spiders and honor those i had to get rid off and it’ll be my Samhain. And talking about spirits and ancestor, my cat keeps showing me some things are around and i believe i have company in this hard process !
I'm having a big cleaning year as well. Mostly just the mundane work of getting my house refreshed and clearing out my stagnant projects. Despite this being mundane it is very refreshing spiritually.
I made a "travel altar" using a decorated tobacco tin. Just big enough to hold a tealight, crystals, etc. Used a large knitwear sewing needle to represent a sword and a match doubles as a wand (I use Tarot in my altars).
I’m sick right now, thank you for uploading this. It really cheered me up. You’ve made my day! You’re an inspiration to me. I’m a beginner witch so your videos are super inspiring and helpful. Have a blessed Samhain 🖤
Thank you so much for sharing with us your practices, your passion, art and gift. In my ancestor religion it is an habit to go on cemetary to light up candlles in memory of dead ones and share food and drinks ancestors loved and remember them. I am used to do it since i was a child and it was never scary ( just a way to share and think with all loved dead ones). My family 's celebration date is 31st october so I have always loved this period😇🙏🍁🍂. I do agree with all you said about smells and feelings when you are trying to connect spirits (sorry for the faults i am not englis). Love your kindness (and yes witches are kind and loving gifted persons)and vidéos. Wish you a wonderfull Samhain sabbat.🥰
Thank you so much for your videos. You have really helped me coming back to what I love. It had been years since I have practiced due to unwanted spirits attaching to me and scared me. I stopped everything. Now our 7 year old daughter is now starting to learn and excited to be a witch. Thank you for sharing your generosity
The veil has been sitting in the doors have been opening for a while now. There is research that shows since 2005 That more and more spirit and counters are happening Great video I always love your videos
As a latina I just use the candy skull, or a ceramic skull. Or you know the normal altar we do for the day of the dead. My mom has an ancestor altar 24/7 but during this time is decorated more than usual
Hello From New Orleans Louisiana, I appreciate you sharing the Information. My Mother hates me Talking about WitchCraft, I lucked out and Got to Make a Documentary about My Wood Carvings and Family... So Happy i was able to do that for Samhain... Cheers.
Love the always informative videos! I’ll be hosting my mini coven on the 28th to celebrate Samhain as well as my daughter’s birthday. We will definitely have a fire to release that which no longer serves as well as taking in the full lunar eclipse vibes, and maybe a stroll through the nearby cemetery. Don’t worry, we’ll be safe! Have a lovely sabbat! Blessed be!😊
I just really like how you talk and how all your videos are done. I’ve been trying to learn more but in some videos either peoples voice is irritating or hard to understand or they don’t seem to have any clear direction. Your videos are very clearly planned out and easy to follow.
i lost two of my rats during this year. (there were old and left peacefully, no suffering). i will leave a candle lit on the top of the urn with their ashes on Halloween. 💔
I love this!! We just so happen to have a hutch with our deceased grandparents’s pictures on it. I’ll most likely pick roses from our yard and set some flowers for them. I have been working on and developing my spiritual side and all of this information is so helpful! Thank you!!💜
i love scrying , i do so instinctivly all the time. i also feel spirits and can connect with them, iapreciate you sharing all this about your magical practice...thank you. i have been saying my personal mantra which has really brought my ancestors close to me.i feel their love and protection. i no longer feel all alone but surrounded.
What protections would you recommend to have on hand when you wish to communicate? What are some good general protections to have around during Samhain?
I love your video and I learned a lot 🔥💜 One thing I always do is lightning my Samhain lantern,a glass pote decorate by me with beautiful Autumn warm colours leaves 🍁🍂 for keep my spirit bright during the dark season of the year. I use pumpkins 🎃 for home decoration, this year I' m going to decorate my Altar with pumpkins 🎃 and mushroms 🍄 and candles of course 🕯️. And I invite my departed dear ones for my table to share the meal with me. And I real sense the veil is thin this time of the year. Have a wonderful and blessed Samhain 🎃🔥🖤!
This was so helpful, I will definitely be utilizing many of these tips & practices! My tradition has always been to do a tarot reading to connect with my ancestors & spirits on the 31st & it has always been a beautiful experience. I am looking forward to doing more spiritual work this year! Thank you!
Everything you said right before and right after 11:00 is spot on. October is my favorite month but the thinner veil and over-commercialization of Halloween drains the life and light out of me 💔
I understand that, that's how I always felt about Christmas but I recently realized that although these holidays are over commercialized especially in a capitalist society, I am just thankful that a lot/some of the traditions from these practically ancient holidays and seasons are still carried over and celebrated even today! Most people may not know the actual origin of these holidays and traditions but those who do have a deeper appreciation form them, in my opinion. 🎃🖤
You're wonderful, Hearth! I appreciate your inclusiveness because of mixed families, adopted children, etc. I have a great pic of my Grandma and Grandpa's gravestone that I will put up as my wallpaper on the computer. I have moon water I will bolster for the front door. And I love your altar and think about having one someplace in my house. I started out with just crystals but have included more (I seem to be at most a Pagan). Blessings and good thoughts to you!
Your comment about Ancestors and Servitors reminds me that since you say almost the same meals within a week you might be better off tying them to your main spirits, since you don't drink. I do so Ellugua gets his rum on Monday, my Ancestors get cider etc. It is tricky to get into the weekly practice groove.
I find also that October comes to short, everyone is so focusing on xmas etc.. I want to last october longer 😆 I´m new to the witchcraft and I definetly going to watch your videos as guidance! 🥰
One time I did a three-fold curse on three different people who wronged me on a new black moon Part of the ritual involved an enchanted incense & within the Flames I literally saw high-definition visions of how each Target would be punished . Visually it was one of the most satisfying spells I ever did.
I'm celebrating only my 3rd Autumn in a place where we actually have seasonal changes and colorful leaves. It's happening right now, and I love it so much!! Samhain and the wheel is certainly more special now that I feel it. Unfortunately I get where you're coming from about the Christmas stuff flooding in already. I work for Torrid, a retail store here in the US, and we have already passed our Winter store set and have just moved into Holiday. UGH!!
Hearth, where do you get your jewelry if you don't mind me asking? You always look so cute and wear such pretty jewelry in all your videos :) Would you ever do a video on all your witchy jewelry?
Thank you for another great video! I just found your channel recently and have enjoyed going back and watching all of the old videos and watching your growth. It has been refreshing to my own 25+ year practice.
I appreciate all your ideas and thoughts. I do wonder at the "warnings" about spirit, many people offer them without saying how this might manifest and how to specifically protect yourself if it does. BB
I’m in the US and we do a massive Halloween display/food and drink serving thing for our town on our property, and I’m so tired leading up to it and after it. It’s exhausting work that takes six weeks to get done. I have no time for any of this craft related stuff, but I really appreciate the video. I’m going to live vicariously through everyone who can right now. I’m having coffee right now, catching a witchcraft video before starting another day of work on this. I have a pallet wood cut out of a pumpkin on my table right now with a white sheet ghost cut into the center, and I have to paint the whole thing one more coat. It’s the top pumpkin to a stack of others that I’ve made. One item on a long list of pallet wood cut outs I have to work on today-a bunch of wonky old looking crosses with names on them for the “pet sematary” movie themed graveyard section of the very large decorated garden. I wish I had time for witchcraft practices this month but I never will. This is an every year thing we do. You all have a wonderful Samhain.
So... What you're saying is that, every year, you set up a huge samhain altar in your actual yard, filled with all sorts of magical correspondence. And that you create tasty snacks and beverages filled with intentions for the season for all of the people? Seems pretty crafty and witchy to me...
Totally off topic, but what is that lipstick? 😍 You look always so beautiful, and so does your home. Thank you for your videos, they have given me loads of inspiration and information over the years, and still continue to do so. You are my go-to when needing clarity on anything concerning witchcraft. Blessed be
There's some that say that gods are really just ancestors but even if that were the case that doesn't take anything away from them because if an ancestor dies and Ascends to the higher Dimensions but then decides to still care about his people that is our understanding of a god.
It’s not bad, it’s just a carrier to draw out things you want to remove which will then go into the earth. It’s much better to water your plants with it and allow the earth to take the unwanted energy than to waste all the water.
I will be doing a thinning of the veil spell on Samhain. I will be within a salt circle, however I'm concerned on how to leave the circle once my ritual is complete.
I appreciate watching your videos. I just started watching a few months ago as I am a beginner eclectic witch who has been learning for the past year. With all the Samhain traditions, divination, and spell work, can these be done at any time during the Samhain Season and not just on October 31st-Nov 1st. I have made a list of things that I would like to do, but since I am just learning everything I am not sure when I can do them. I am sure that there are certain things that should be done on the actual Samhain. Thank you!

It's my merch print that I added colour too. I'm hoping to add it to the merch store at some point in the future x
Thank you so much!
As an Irish person that's for pronouncing Samhain correctly ❤
I once read that "Samhain" means "November" in Irish Gaelic. Is that true? 😊🍀

My grandma used to leave an empty plate on our Thanksgiving dinner table for the ones that we lost so they were included.
I often give offerings like huge handfuls of birdseed. That way, I have given an animal friendly offering. Also, fruit and things that can be eaten.

Can you set up a sort of ancestor alter up for pets that have passed away too?
I know of traditions who involve their pets in their dedications to the dead, so I don’t see why not!
Me wrapping christmas gifts while watching…yeah same! Make the fall, fall only again!

Now,looking at this video is relaxing me.
Your right-now-altar should always be your favourite altar, shouldn't it? 🥰❤️💕

Wow what a great video. Very interesting about the laborite (spelling) being a good stone for connecting to spirits ❤😊❤
That altar is sooo pretty, absolutrly delightful 🎃🕯
Loved this video! Those scrying instructions were so helpful! Happy Samhain
Thank you for being here to give us great knowledge! I luv your videos! 💜
Hearth, where do you get your jewelry if you don't mind me asking? You always look so cute and wear such pretty jewelry in all your videos :) Would you ever do a video on all your witchy jewelry?
One of my favorite offerings in nature is wildlife specific food, such as natural rabbit food or other food formulated for animals in my area
You are so helpful and your videos are so easy to follow and understand and I just wanted to say thank you
Thank you for another great video! I just found your channel recently and have enjoyed going back and watching all of the old videos and watching your growth. It has been refreshing to my own 25+ year practice.
Screen image… that is a wonderful idea! 🔥💜
Halloween is my favorite holiday, and it's a holiday that I feel happy
Thanks Hearth
Omg you pronounced it right 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you!
Hi Hearth, I discovered your channel a few months ago and I love your videos - fascinating and informative - thank you 🙏🏻
I appreciate all your ideas and thoughts. I do wonder at the "warnings" about spirit, many people offer them without saying how this might manifest and how to specifically protect yourself if it does. BB
I'm obsessed with my obsidian mirror, I have 3 lol.
I'm working on my perception and spirit communication th it s Samhain
This year I will be spending Samhain with 1 friend in a local Pub.
Your makeup looks phenomenal per usual😊
Thank you for a wonderful video. Please tell me where you got your top and the throw on your sofa from? I love them both. 💗
Just a good fire safety tip make a ring of water around the area you're going to be burning stuff that way the fire can't pass it
Coming through as always! Samhain Blessings 🖤
Totally off topic, but what is that lipstick? 😍 You look always so beautiful, and so does your home. Thank you for your videos, they have given me loads of inspiration and information over the years, and still continue to do so. You are my go-to when needing clarity on anything concerning witchcraft.
Blessed be
Where did you get the candle on your altar? It’s lovely!
It’s from Starchild in Glastonbury ☺️
@@HearthWitch thank you! 😍😍
Thank you

I love your videos always so informative 🧡🖤
I just adore you, ty blessed be )O(
Thank you Hearth, I love your ideas😊😊❤
There's some that say that gods are really just ancestors but even if that were the case that doesn't take anything away from them because if an ancestor dies and
Ascends to the higher Dimensions but then decides to still care about his people that is our understanding of a god.
I’m setting up a altar for my loved ones my ancestors for the day of the dead. ❤
Thank you❤ Blessed Be
I'm hoping to boost my spirit communion/connection in general...
Question? @ 10:41 isn't the water bad at this point? Why would you give it to your plants?
It’s not bad, it’s just a carrier to draw out things you want to remove which will then go into the earth. It’s much better to water your plants with it and allow the earth to take the unwanted energy than to waste all the water.
I will be doing a thinning of the veil spell on Samhain. I will be within a salt circle, however I'm concerned on how to leave the circle once my ritual is complete.
Ok off topic but I gotta know where you bought your earnings. They're so lovely! ❤
Thank you!
