Your ability to provide commentary throughout the entire game while playing at such a high level is incredible. When I’m playing SC2 the room could literally be on fire around me and I wouldn’t notice. It requires all my brain power to play SC2 😂

There should be a name for the reverse of the Dunning Kruger Effect, I think. In my experience, the more experienced someone becomes, the more they lose sight of the new player play experience. I see this correlation very often, and not even only in gaming. Jargon like "what is this build" for example, presupposes the player in question even has one, or knows what the term 'build' means in this context. You see the same in other titles as well, where more experienced teammates often lambast a new player with incomprehensible gibberish like -- in the case of League of Legends -- "stop feed", as if everyone just comes out of the womb knowing what 'feed' means in this context, and how to recognise/counter/prevent/remedy it. Stopping to consider the thought process of your opponent and scaling that to *_their_* experience level rather than your own, seems to be an elusive talent.
While I agree with your point as a general rule, the vast majority of his videos take place in the diamond/gm level bracket. I can 100% assure anyone he comes across in that bracket is not a new player, and knows about build order.

So true. I visited aussy for a week in Sydney and a week in Melbourne, and I saw that kind of laid back attitude in abundance. It's very aussy. Everyone is very kind and upbeat, ready to befriend you at a glance, but also very loyal to their friends.
Heh I was actually pretty surprised that Sydney and Melbourne were so high on the list, then again I've got no idea how active the SC2 scene is in Aus these days, as I've never been that active myself. I am really glad that you are not like the stereotypical guy talking shit on ladder, I remarked on this before but one of the many things that makes your content so enjoyable is your calm and positive energy. Even as you're being rushed by a million roaches or doing some crazy cheese, or a challenge run that others would find impossible. It's not that you don't have your ups and downs, but it's clear you're just not trying to be a jerk, even with the pausing stuff. That goes for a lot.

So, I really REALLY don’t think it was justified. Even if that wasn’t the case, it would not be justified. You’re just exposing your toxicity by trying to validate the player. Which is funny because you’re here watching thermy and also complaining at the same time. So either you’re a hypocrite or this is your first thermy vid or you’re a thermy hater which would be especially weird because of how much he does for the community. i havent played sc2 since wol. loved the game played zerg/random at master rank in ladder. i love your videos, solid gameplay and great commentary. Found your channel a month ago and almost watched every video on your channel already.
I could never really get into sc2 from broodwar. But this might be the first sc2 channel I genuinely enjoy. I love the commentary and challenging gameplay with limiting yourself to certain comps. Very fun to watch.
I actually like that angle... you can see how crazy fast your eyes are moving with all the crazy stuff going on haha.

I'd like to see a compilation video of all the salt you've got from your opponents during these challenges.
That salt is so far beyond ridiculous or required. FFS, it's a game - it is meant to be fun. Would anyone ever dream of acting that way in to another person if it wasn't over the internet? I think not. Have you ever had anyone carry on like that at the end of a local sports match/game? At the end of a work day? We all have rough days, we all have unexpected things that don't go our way, but that was not required.
I appreciate Marc for his admirable qualities and ways of handling it; What I would LOVE to see happen even more is to stop promoting it and therefore encouraging it. I think you're an incredible caster/player and have a great positive attitude which is why I come back each day to watch the vids, your BM response is to drop mules within the game - no words, none of those horrendous wishes we've seen in previous vids, but you get your point across in an acceptable manner.
