How I max a character: Make a knight with archon, veng, mith shield and para hp. Drink as much possible def as you can (5-15) I recommend selling any spare items you have. Do abysses, clear carefully and clear whites at boss Slowly, you'll max def and vit on that knight Then you can just sell those for other pots you need to max. If you have multiple character slots, and you want to make another class, just drink the def and vit on another class. Just be careful with the knight... don't go deep, don't rush dungeons, don't do stupid stuff. This is what I did and I have a 7/8 knight now and a 4/8 archer. I used to have 2 6/8s besides the knight and I died. But, I still didn't stop and just maxed an archer. Hope this helped!
Be aware that you have to have about 4 life to start that way. A better way is to watch a sprite world tutorial and get dex, sell for def, and safe max another character.
One thing you don't want to do is believe you are invincible after getting a maxed character. I spent hours grinding def to get 40 def on a knight only to have him killed in deadwater docks. The best thing to do is have yourself backed up beforehand in gear and potions.
Some okay advice for new players. One thing I recommend for new players reading this is after you max your first characters def, play that character like you played your unmaxed characters. You'll be able to farm pots quicker than on an unmaxed character, have less chance of dying, and get used to how they handle (mostly maxed speed being a big difference).
You only need one, ive maxed plenty characters just using one. Just run dungeons, trade pots (rainbow) 8 for 1 life/glife, and dont die. If you do die then of course you will have wasted a lot of time, but welcome to rotmg. You shouldnt die running dungeons though unless you rushing. Once youve gotten 8/8 character i recommend you use that character to max a rogue. Then use that maxed rogue to max any other character you want. Rogues rush dungeons with ease and with little risk if you have skill which you can learn obviouslh. But get a cloak of planewalker and basically sprites, abysses, libraries become super easy to farm. If you’re super advanced you can run epic dungeons like tombs, wlabs or cdepths even, although cdepth kinda hard. This means youll be able to farm hecka life and trade for a frick ton of deca rings. Or you can just be a cheater and buy a bunch of deca rings for usd on some realmshop crap. Then once youre done with all that you can focus on raiding dungeons in raid servers and get some op ass whites. Also you will probably die in certain dungeons like Lost Halls Marble colossus, Void, etc. so make expendable 2/8 knights with t12 sword, t5 shield, t12 armor and exa HP rings and use those to raid dungeons in discord

Lol a when i used to casually play this game when i was a kid i dont think i ever saw a stat potion. Maybe 3 years after i discovered the game did i get a 6/8 character that was over a year ago. I just revisisted this game a month ago and literally grinded it for a few weeks and in that few weeks i’ve had 4 8/8s and other little characters that died

This video came at exactly the right time for me in realm... Just started getting serious, maxed a 2/8 knight who died in a deadwater docks from "evil water" He had about 20 def, and maxed dex and spd. I had a spare set of equips in my vault in the case that the inevitable happened, but still disappointing. On the video's views. Oryx's castle is VERY hard, even when def is max, be careful. I once had def maxed on a wizard who when I ran through a group of minions, popped. So just, stay safe. Good advice on the abyss, Bluenoser has videos on all the classes running abyss's, so people interested in doing those should go check those out. Good video once again, quality as always, and highly recommended to my friends who are just starting. :D
Bro soz i have to say this but this game is all about luck.....thats why some random new guy can steal loot from a pro.... that why ppe chars get loot... cuz those guys have some luck... u know its hard to get a bracer.... anno i did a shatters with a ton of ppl and a lv 20 0/8 archer got a bracer with a verdant bow.... THIS GAME IS ALL ABOUT LUCK...
bickuribox12 ok thats true... but sometimes its still annoying when you doing like the 89th shatters for a bracer and a 0/8 gets it... to get loot you need luck, to be a pro you need skills....
Ikr, first time playing and seeing people that are level 20 makes me go "wow". Now, getting to level 20 is not a big deal anymore. Ah...the good old times.
I first played realm 3 years ago, and it was mostly just for fun with my friends. We started getting into it but we never got close to maxing a stat. I begun playing realm a year ago now but while I understood more about the game, the highest i got to was 2/8. However after i saw this video i began to slowly build up my pots and farmed and was most importantly I was patient. Thank you Talwar, after so long with my favorite game I'm finally starting to see progress.
Your saying that the way to improve and "go pro" just helped me so much. I died on my 2/8 rogue in my first OT today. After everything was dead... I lagged out and couldn't nexus and closing my client didn't even save me. I wanted to quit, thought I lost everything. But you encouraged me to keep going.

Something worth mentioning is that you get a chance for pot drop after doing a certain amount of damage to the god. This means that staying in a train, for fame likely won't leave you with successful drops, unless you're short ranged and in the front. Soloing gods, or taking like 1 person along will greatly increase your chances of doing enough damage than staying with a large cluster of people, in which very few of them will receive a bbag
Just found this video, I mostly decent loot so around T9-11. I play as wizard and archer a lot. I died on 2/8 archer with frost bow last week, shotgunned by a gigacorn with friends in a cland. I'm trying to find out how to max better, and you're great at explaining this so far, only like 6 minutes in and you earned a new sub.

DC36 You can either make another throw away melee to mess around with, or just keep taking it easy with the one you have. Just do low tier dungeons until you're familiar with the knight's control
bickuribox12 So, all my friends have died running abysses with me. I am 24 pots away from maxing def and 2/8 with def and att. Also i am currently 10 pots away from becoming 4/8 with spd and wis. My friends keep dying however, and it really sucks.

Just a heads up for those who dont know, the pot drops are as follows Glands: Medusa + Djinn + Ghost God = speed beholder + leviathan + ent god + slime god = defense the pink brain thingy + white dragons + Sprite god + constructs = attack Abyss of demons (Dropped my Medusa) = Vit and def (dont come alone) Undead Lair (Dropped by ghost Gods) = wis (you can solo if you take your time) Mad Lab (Dropped by Flying brains) = wis (come with people) Puppet Theater (Dropped by leviathan) = att (MOAR PEOPLE) try to survive out there and gl!
Hey Talwar, have you checked out the moonlight village? I feel like it's an endgame dungeon you'll really enjoy. Normally, I'm sick of realm endgame, where everybody just sits in discord runs all day and the game is completely dead otherwise, but this is a really unique dungeon. No clearing, no instapops, just a boss fight consisting of pure dodging.
I learned that to not be so desired on maxing a character. If u just go in dungeons for fun because u want to and get a pot and drink it, u won't be so upset when u die because u weren't desired, u just wanted to drink it because u wanted to. It helps if your not that good so when u die its not so punishing when u realised that u were 1/8 or 2/8 because u didn't mean to get there u just did and its not so crushing
I still remember my frist time soloing snake pit xD i was huntress with t0 trap and i was so scared i sat in a corner and waited for my mp to throw my trap XD
I have never gotten 3/8 and I am rank 31, I found this video super useful, when I watched this I realized that I can solo abysses on a priest or pally. :)
The problem is, once you've maxed the def of a character, you can get the rest of the pots easy. However, without an amazing pet who heals you in a second, its is incredibly difficult to take on things like the abyss, which are good for def pots. So you basically have to farm godlands, or farm for speed pots and trade them, booth equally tideous and taking so many hours to get them all (and then like me giving 13 of them to a character, thinking i can then use them to take on an abyss, and meeting death)
My Strategy: (Skip to step 5 if u are level 20) 1: Get level 5-8 by doing quests. 2: Switch servers to Euwest2 . 3: Find the server that's full and wait for it to be open 4: Scroll out on your map and teleport to the big yellow blob in the middle with a ton of people in the godands. This is the "Fame Train" you must now hide in the train from gods while you level up to level 20. Don't worry the other characters will tank the bullets and will heal you. 5: Get decent gear from godlands. 6: If you have a long ranged class (ie: wizard) do sprite worlds which drop from those purple sprite gods in glands. Go inside the white portal and take out the boss from a distance where he cant shoot you this will give a dexterity potion. (any defense you get in the glands or sprite worlds drink) Now repeat step five until you are maxed on dex. After you are 1/8 from maxing dex. Sell 3 dex or 2 for 1 defense repeat until defense is maxed. You are now very more tanky then before but, don't make careless mistakes. If you do you will learn your lesson. Max other stats from other tutorials or from the video above me ^. 7:If you have a melee class (ie: Knight) you can choose to do sprite worlds or abysses. If you choose to do abysses. Be slow and regenerate after each room. This is gonna take a long time. But it will become easier over time and you will max your vitality and defense from the boss droping them. lets say you max ur def on a knight. Now your are so ready to get any other pot because you have so much defense that u can take all the bullets. 8:Also. Selling dex vit for def is makes life easier! Because if you want to max def first that,s your best choice. Thank you for reading all of this. feel free to ask me any questions (ie: what does vit mean?)(vitality) Bickuribox12 made this amazing video and suggest you watch it which you probably did.^ I just wanted to share you my a bit of tips and just a bit of my strategy. I highly recomend you to watch bickuribox12's video first and or if you are very new. But if you are completely new (ie: you played for 2 months)(I have 500 hours on this game :P) Don't feel bad if you die. I'm going to stop because I feel like I am repeating Bickuribox12. PLEASE WATCH HIS VIDEO!!!!!^^^^^^
I would recommend farming sprite worlds instead of abyss, its faster and the boss is way easier to read and deal with, sprite world drops Dex mostly but has a sizable chance to drop def, also the purple sprite gos have almost double the chance to drop an attack pot (which are very valuable as of right now ) just farm sprite worlds until your reach max dex, all the while you will pick up a few def on the way, then if you want to max attack farm the purplr gods and sell the excess dex for more attack / Defense.
Saving up pots is way better than drinking them as you go. If you die after drinking a few pots then you just wasted those pots, not to mention all the time you spent getting them. If you use a separate char/account to farm and save it makes it easier because you can take larger risks withought worrying about losing too much, and it goes a little faster.
I haven't maxed any char and this is just my opinion but ever since I found out this way of getting loot, I have gotten lots of different kinds of pots and gear First I always do these things Do penteracts:the eyes would rarely hit you if you keep moving. I recommend a class that can get dis in easily (like knight or wizard) Do ice caves:just wait until a lord of lost lands spawn and if he drops an ice cave, do it. Ice caves are extremely ez if their is a lot of ppl with you, I recommend helping out as much as u can (even if ur a nub and have bad gear every bit helps) so the portal will appear faster then it would if u wasn't helping, and the help kill the boss to.(if your a ranged class you could help out with both the minions and the boss if close ranged i recommends to just help to kill the minions) if your ability is offensive in any way I recommend you save your mana just for the test chest. By doing this you could get different kinds of loot and maybe even a mana or UT For your first stat I recommend to max an offensive abilities first. Mainly focusing of dex because sprite world are easy to solo even if your un maxed but I don't reccomend doing it with a big group becouse you might not get loot Cems:as mentioned in the video cems are an extremely good way of getting rainbow pots even with a big group you could still get loot or pots. I not continuing further more after the cemetery gates unless your with a big group because if your unmaxed those blue souls could target and do tons of dmg to you. Doing cems to get rainbow pots could also be traded for def pots which could then be traded for gear Anyways this is just my opinion and I hope this helps those players struggling to get better at the game I am :)
omfg I know how that feels I died with a 3/8 knight and it wasn't even supposed to die a ent sitter killed me calling a lab I only needed 2 spd and 3 wis to reach 5/8 and like 9 vit for 6/8 I was pissed
I died on a 3/8 and two 6/8's, except one was like ~8-9 wis away from max. Death doesn't really get me- it's just like, okay, I died, what do I take from that?

It's the slime god that also drops def, thanks for the vid I have trouble trying to 8/8 although I'm red star.... But what I usually do is farm sprites for dex and drink the def that drops and after I max dex I keep running them until my def is maxed after that I max VIT and next is either spd or wis, then last ATT.

I'd say make a new account for farming. Transfer all the pots that you get to your main account. That's how I maxed my first character.

Only the drops are based on loot. How well you play and whether or not you survive is based mainly on skill.

Soloing gods, or taking like 1 person along will greatly increase your chances of doing enough damage than staying with a large cluster of people, in which very few of them will receive a bbag

Just found this video, I mostly decent loot so around T9-11. I play as wizard and archer a lot. I died on 2/8 archer with frost bow last week, shotgunned by a gigacorn with friends in a cland. I'm trying to find out how to max better, and you're great at explaining this so far, only like 6 minutes in and you earned a new sub.

+bickuribox12 I am trying out a knight and i really like it. Easy to max dex and att, i barely made the knight and already have maxed dex, but i'm not good with melee cause i never used it. Any tips on what i hould do to avoid death?
DC36 You can either make another throw away melee to mess around with, or just keep taking it easy with the one you have. Just do low tier dungeons until you're familiar with the knight's control
bickuribox12 So, all my friends have died running abysses with me. I am 24 pots away from maxing def and 2/8 with def and att. Also i am currently 10 pots away from becoming 4/8 with spd and wis. My friends keep dying however, and it really sucks.

You can store only with one vault if u trade the def for mana/life which takes up less space and can be traded back for the def quickly
Didn't really bother to read comments if anyone said this and yea this is from 2015 and I haven't watched all ur vids but if u don't know there's a download called adobe projector with instructions on how to use it on realmeye and dude, it saved my life in regards to making this game playable for me

Just a heads up for those who dont know, the pot drops are as follows
Glands: Medusa + Djinn + Ghost God = speed
beholder + leviathan + ent god + slime god = defense
the pink brain thingy + white dragons + Sprite god + constructs = attack
Abyss of demons (Dropped my Medusa) = Vit and def (dont come alone)
Undead Lair (Dropped by ghost Gods) = wis (you can solo if you take your time)
Mad Lab (Dropped by Flying brains) = wis (come with people)
Puppet Theater (Dropped by leviathan) = att (MOAR PEOPLE)

I feel like it's an endgame dungeon you'll really enjoy. Normally, I'm sick of realm endgame, where everybody just sits in discord runs all day and the game is completely dead otherwise, but this is a really unique dungeon. No clearing, no instapops, just a boss fight consisting of pure dodging.
I learned that to not be so desired on maxing a character. If u just go in dungeons for fun because u want to and get a pot and drink it, u won't be so upset when u die because u weren't desired, u just wanted to drink it because u wanted to. It helps if your not that good so when u die its not so punishing when u realised that u were 1/8 or 2/8 because u didn't mean to get there u just did and its not so crushing

I had a great time when me and my Bob character ( rogue) were up, 400 fame. And then he died. Pls, pray for Bob. I know that mad god have care of him.
I have never gotten 3/8 and I am rank 31, I found this video super useful, when I watched this I realized that I can solo abysses on a priest or pally. :)
The problem is, once you've maxed the def of a character, you can get the rest of the pots easy. However, without an amazing pet who heals you in a second, its is incredibly difficult to take on things like the abyss, which are good for def pots. So you basically have to farm godlands, or farm for speed pots and trade them, booth equally tideous and taking so many hours to get them all (and then like me giving 13 of them to a character, thinking i can then use them to take on an abyss, and meeting death)

My Strategy:
(Skip to step 5 if u are level 20)
1: Get level 5-8 by doing quests.
2: Switch servers to Euwest2 .
3: Find the server that's full and wait for it to be open
4: Scroll out on your map and teleport to the big yellow blob in the middle with a ton of people in the godands. This is the "Fame Train" you must now hide in the train from gods while you level up to level 20. Don't worry the other characters will tank the bullets and will heal you.
5: Get decent gear from godlands.
6: If you have a long ranged class (ie: wizard) do sprite worlds which drop from those purple sprite gods in glands. Go inside the white portal and take out the boss from a distance where he cant shoot you this will give a dexterity potion.
(any defense you get in the glands or sprite worlds drink) Now repeat step five until you are maxed on dex. After you are 1/8 from maxing dex. Sell 3 dex or 2 for 1 defense repeat until defense is maxed. You are now very more tanky then before but, don't make careless mistakes. If you do you will learn your lesson. Max other stats from other tutorials or from the video above me ^.
7:If you have a melee class (ie: Knight) you can choose to do sprite worlds or abysses. If you choose to do abysses. Be slow and regenerate after each room. This is gonna take a long time. But it will become easier over time and you will max your vitality and defense from the boss droping them. lets say you max ur def on a knight. Now your are so ready to get any other pot because you have so much defense that u can take all the bullets.
8:Also. Selling dex vit for def is makes life easier! Because if you want to max def first that,s your best choice.

I highly recomend you to watch bickuribox12's video first and or if you are very new. But if you are completely new (ie: you played for 2 months)(I have 500 hours on this game :P) Don't feel bad if you die. I'm going to stop because I feel like I am repeating Bickuribox12. I would recommend farming sprite worlds instead of abyss, its faster and the boss is way easier to read and deal with, sprite world drops Dex mostly but has a sizable chance to drop def, also the purple sprite gos have almost double the chance to drop an attack pot (which are very valuable as of right now ) just farm sprite worlds until your reach max dex, all the while you will pick up a few def on the way, then if you want to max attack farm the purplr gods and sell the excess dex for more attack / Defense.
Saving up pots is way better than drinking them as you go. If you die after drinking a few pots then you just wasted those pots, not to mention all the time you spent getting them. If you use a separate char/account to farm and save it makes it easier because you can take larger risks withought worrying about losing too much, and it goes a little faster.
the problem with saving def for new players is space to store them is VERY limited unless you pay
I haven't maxed any char and this is just my opinion but ever since I found out this way of getting loot, I have gotten lots of different kinds of pots and gear
First I always do these things
Do penteracts:the eyes would rarely hit you if you keep moving.
I recommend a class that can get dis in easily (like knight or wizard)
Do ice caves:just wait until a lord of lost lands spawn and if he drops an ice cave, do it. Ice caves are extremely ez if their is a lot of ppl with you, I recommend helping out as much as u can (even if ur a nub and have bad gear every bit helps) so the portal will appear faster then it would if u wasn't helping, and the help kill the boss to.(if your a ranged class you could help out with both the minions and the boss if close ranged i recommends to just help to kill the minions) if your ability is offensive in any way I recommend you save your mana just for the test chest. By doing this you could get different kinds of loot and maybe even a mana or UT
For your first stat I recommend to max an offensive abilities first. Mainly focusing of dex because sprite world are easy to solo even if your un maxed but I don't reccomend doing it with a big group becouse you might not get loot
Cems:as mentioned in the video cems are an extremely good way of getting rainbow pots even with a big group you could still get loot or pots. I not continuing further more after the cemetery gates unless your with a big group because if your unmaxed those blue souls could target and do tons of dmg to you. Doing cems to get rainbow pots could also be traded for def pots which could then be traded for gear
Anyways this is just my opinion and I hope this helps those players struggling to get better at the game I am :)
One thing that you didn't sort of bring up was finding a gods patterns and getting used to them so you can escape that 4 shot medusa.

omfg I know how that feels I died with a 3/8 knight and it wasn't even supposed to die a ent sitter killed me calling a lab I only needed 2 spd and 3 wis to reach 5/8 and like 9 vit for 6/8 I was pissed
I died on a 3/8 and two 6/8's, except one was like ~8-9 wis away from max. Death doesn't really get me- it's just like, okay, I died, what do I take from that?
i lost my first 5/8 in a abby since them ive only had a few 1/8 rip

Tip: sprite world drops dex pot with a chance of a def. if you kill the gods in the Dungeon they can drop atk as well as ut items

dps stats dex/atk also helps you survive by a lot especially as a ranged class.
It's the slime god that also drops def, thanks for the vid I have trouble trying to 8/8 although I'm red star.... But what I usually do is farm sprites for dex and drink the def that drops and after I max dex I keep running them until my def is maxed after that I max VIT and next is either spd or wis, then last ATT.
Ent Gods also.
In total, Slime Gods, Ent Gods, Leviathans and Beholders all drop Def.
