Married men can become deacons, but not priests (at least that's the case in the Roman/Latin Rite). However, deacons are ordained clergy. Celibacy is a discipline for a reason (For example, if a priest has a sacramental emergency to attend to or has meetings in a parish, then he doesn't have to worry about child-care or someone asking him about where he is going, and married men can't really put the Church first as well as celibate men can). Jesus was not married, either. Just because Marriage is a Sacrament does not mean that married men should be allowed to become priests.

The way I think of it, the Catholic Church doesn't want the priests to worry about marriage, and only to focus on the Word of God.
@@diegouy8277 but still, marriage does not distruct anyone from focusing on God.
@@wis9592 Unfortunately, that is not the Catholic's opinion.
@@wis9592 Perhaps 1 Corithians 7 and 8 can help shed some light on the reasoning, as well as Mathew 19 vs 12. Stay blessed.
Jesus and Mary Magdalene had a one night stand and so what! Jesus and Mary were humans.
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. (1 Timothy 4:1-3)
Any religion that forbids men from marrying and tells people to not eat meat at certain times is a religion made by the devil.
And your point is that the Catholic church is the devil's church?
Every man of God have something to sacrifice so the priest sacrifice there body for god.
where in the bible asking for that sacrifice?
I got cult vibe from this line. What make religious and cultist people different is, IMO, we have a clear law, law from our holy book instead of following man's opinion blindly.
This does not answer the question why Catholic priests can not marry. Especially since it was pointed out in the video that some priest are married. There is currently a lack of Catholic priest in the United States that can speak English clear enough to understand the mass.

Holy Tradition, Magisterium, and the Bible. The Bible is not everything and the other two were there before it was assembled. The Church was founded by the Apostles' Creed and the Holy Tradition. The four Gospels included in the Bible had to be chosen by the proper authorities. To doubt in the Church authorities leads to troubling conclusions regarding one's faith.
I guess all women are already married when they are born.
AMEN
Devine law kepala tok hang
There is something called canon law, follow it period! Married priest is a sin, don’t be a heretic
Herecy is only commited when you say something against the faith aka dogmas. Celibacy is only a discipline. Not divine law, but thing of mens. Many priest in the Catholic Church, are married.
The law of Moses says priests may marry
It also says in a gospel that a good bishop shall only have 1 wife. Not more. Directly saying you can have a wife.
