To be honest, England did more for the match in the 2nd half and extratime. So they deserved to win this match. But the penalty was a joke.
Yeah, I honestly didn’t want England or Italy to win the Euros, but here we are with them both in the finals, they both deserve it in ways and don’t in ways, but what I think is important is that we get to watch football now that COVID is slowly easing off.
England played better for sure, but idk if that makes it “deserved” since in the end all that counts is goals, it would’ve been realistic if the extra time ended and England then won from the penalty kickoff, but the dive pen was a joke from the ref lol

But in saying that it is a really difficult play to stop, fair play to Denmark and I’m sad to see them lose, and that penalty really is an annoying way to go out. I'm 26 and I never thought I'd see England in the final of a major tournament, I mean Italy will be by far our hardest game on Sunday, but to make it to a final of a major tournament is literally the greatest moment of my life. But Kuddos to the Danes for making it to the semis their story this year is an incredible one, to come all this way without Eriksen is a nothing short of a miracle. But on Sunday it'll be an amazing match and the greatest summer of my life if the three lions can secure the trophy at Wembley on Sunday. Come on England.

The Danes only scored due to a free kick that was generous to say the least, there were 20 Danish fouls and only one yellow card given, after the 20 minute mark there was shirt pulling and diving from a few Danish players, etc. Apart from the penalty, every decision went to the Danes, yet despite this the English dominated the match according to the stats...So why shouldn't we be proud?

How did the ref help England? It was a penalty. If a player makes a tackle anywhere on the pitch and misses the ball then it's a free kick, same applies in the penalty area

I took a sabbatical traveling from Singapore to London supporting the England team in euro 96. It was heartbreaking seeing Gareth Southgate missed that penalty. Fast forward 25 years later, it is heartwarming to see this old guard leading the team for glory again. Cmon England you can do it!
Honestly as an England supporter I'm really surprised VAR didn't catch the dive, feels cheap even though England probably played better
Because there was contact so technically Sterling was fouled in the Penalty area. Danes fouled England players twice as much as the other way round (21 v 10).
There were at least 3 slightly dubious challenges in the area so it was only justified that at least 1 was given. Denmark didnt deserve to go through, they parked the bus and lived off a 10 minute spell between 20-30 minutes which mostly consisted of defensive mistakes from England
What dive was that ... Sterling went down because two Danish players fouled him simultaneously and just before that Kane was hacked down !!!
A player that literally kicked his foot on the ground, fell and got a penalty without being touched in a champions league match is a diver cheater, who would have thought!

England shouldn't have gotten the penalty kick, many high level referees said so, england had no respect towards denmark booing at national Anthem then using laser pointed at danish players including goalkeeper, this was told to the referee / UEFA in first half it continued whole game,, not only that.. after the match so many danish fans were harassed and assaulted (even Danish/English citizens that lives in england, for more than 10 years). i hope italy will win. let's go italy !!! hope their fans will stay home so they don't get assaulted. england you got fined 30K should have been way more.

So the free kick was fairly given was it? What about the faking injury to get a cheeky time out for the team just because the England attacks got a bit to frequent and a bit too much?
It was a pen but it was soft. If you watch carefully there is contact on his back leg. Plus you say Denmark was treated unfairly but they committed over 20 fouls and got 1 yellow card. Sometimes sports is cruel mate.
