ACA Hurricane MKII-130 | Alert and Attack | Milwaukee WI | May 10, 2023

Hello everyone! Today we're at the most over-recorded siren ever, yet I still like it because of its design and sound. It's the Hurricane, made by Alerting Communicators of America, the only operating one left in civil use for severe weather, located behind Fire Station 39 on Bradley Road. Milwaukee EMA tested both the Alert and Attack signals, which was a pleasant surprise! However the blower has seen some better days.

Dang, I thought no more hurricanes were left after Darien replaced their “all-black” one. Awesome to see this one still functioning as the last of its kind running in active service.

Yes, there is videos going back to 1979 of this, but this is the only one in service. Others are inactive or in private storage, and all known square horn hurricanes are in private possession

@@polandball7482 if you dig deep enough you can find South African news articles stating that Klaxon Hurricane 130s had been installed and ACA is the American distributor of Klaxon. (These hurricanes were square.)

I think the Blower Motor Needs Replacing because it runs up to full power then slowly dies which seems like there's just a lot of friction in the motor or smthing :p
