Pretty interesting how the blower seems to reach it’s proper speed for the first few seconds before it starts struggling, I wonder if the friction is causing the parts to expand, causing excessive resistance as it continues to heat up and expand. Definitely needs oil or something, wouldn’t be surprised if water got into the blower as well, displacing any lubricant.
Thanks. The ACA Hurricane is truely a unique siren. I like how while a lot of other sirens take there time to wind up, the ACA Hurricane just gets right to it.
Ah man. :( I'm glad I got this siren while I can because ACA Hurricanes are very unique sirens, plus being the last ACA Hurricane. The trip down to Wisconsin was worth it.
I was honestly expecting it not to test due to the rain because I knew it tested second Wednesday at noon, but it varied on the weather. I'm glad it tested reguardless because I went right after working night shift losing 36 hours of sleep to get this siren. That's still weird that it didn't test in August.
@@BlueThunderboltsiren They didn't test it for 5 months straight, May - October. I was with @ILLINOISSIRENFAN that day and was kinda angry when I saw this video of them testing in the rain. They didn't test for us due to "Overcast". Casual Milwaukee moment.
@@ACAFan101I'd be upset as well if they didn't test this month, either tbh, knowing the ACA Hurricane didn't test for 5 months straight. Especially driving 6 hours battling Chicago traffic.
Flawless.

I think the bearings are worn out and tired. They tend to catch and add a ton of mechanical drag.
@@pootispiker2866 Yeah, the motor is probably going as well
Excellent video! I REALLY want to hear this in person.
Awesome video! Cool how the blower reaches full speed when it's starts up for the first time but then slows back down.

I forgot yesterday was Wednesday, THE PAIN.

Man I guess that blower if I hear it right, is not havin a fun time.

@@sth-1081 Thank goodness the Hurricane isn't going anywhere.
Yea, although i am gonna miss all the P50’s, Allertors, and the Mobil Directo.
@@sth-1081 :(
I don’t get why they didn’t test in August but they test in November with cloudy skies and rain
