Been your fan since your PBB days. I've also been frequenting in watching your YT vids, even before I passed the Pharmacist Licensure Exams last year. It's lovely that you get to pursue your heart's desires. 😍🤗🤗
It's really beautiful and moving to see people going through a phase of transitioning. I hope you'll be fulfilled in that area.
I think I was really able to relate to you because I've also had the same encounter. During undergrad, everyone knew that I was up to pursue a career as community pharmacist. That decision was firm during reviews, when I filed for the licensure exams and even weeks before the boards.
But then, after passing, there was something in me that pushed me to try a career in the industrial side of pharmacy as a research and dev't scientist. And yes, I've been working for six months formulating cosmetics, food and drugs. All of these tho are still on the trial and formulation stage.
As of the moment, I've been praying hard for a scholarship grant in my Master's degree abroad. I hope that one day, as a research pharmacist, I get to contribute to the medical field, especially in linking the discipline of pharmaceutics, pharmacology and pharmacovigilance in the area of Public Health (my intended master's degree).
I think if there is one thing that I've learned, that would be go for what you long for. It's true that the universe and dreams do connive. Let's not simply settle for the molds we have made for ourseleves and those that people made in behalf of what they see of us.
You're such an inspiration. ✨

Hi Doc, I’m also a pioneer in FamilyDoc as Finance and Accounting Officer unfortunately I resigned last Oct 2019. And now building and enjoying my 3 Pharmacy and as a Distributor as well.
My other frustration is also to be a Doctor, but nevertheless im still in line in providing affordable medicines to the community 😊

Im a graduating student of medtech at EAC. Sa totoo lang po growing up gustong gusto ko maging doctor and i badly wanted to be one so i started taking this course ang daming bagsak sa majors ko and to tell you doc habang tumatagal nawala yung pagiging passion ko to achieve my dreams parang tinatapos ko na lang yung medtech kasi kailangan ko maka graduate kasi sinabi ng mom ko na importante yung diploma. Then sa mga kalagitnaan ng 3rd yr ko po mahigit 2 yrs akong 3rd yr eh nakakahiya man pero im here to tell my side, so ayun nga po i got bullied, mentally abused and emotionally unstable kaya i got distracted di maka concentrate sa pagaaral. Sobrang dami daming nangyari talaga sakin to the point na suicidal na po ako. Depression and losing passion is a one great deal doc di ko alam san ako lulugar every night umiiyak ako kesa magaral. Iniisip ko na lang na matapos ko lang to malaya na ako baka kasi lalo ako mabaliw po pag nag doctor pa ako eh. Tapos yung expectations pa sakin ng lolo at lola ko nun dahil sila po nagpapaaral sakin. Ayaw ko man mag live sa expectations nila pero lagi sila may nasasabi kahit pasado LANG AKO. Sobrang di ko na kaya doc gusto ko na mawala kahit one day lang doc.
Ate, I'm currently a 2nd year Medtech student po, and I may not know how it feels to be there, to experience it, I know naman po that God has a plan for you. Maybe, after you graduate and Medtech is not for you, hopefully you can explore other things na para sayo pala talaga. Or med course is for you talaga pero it's just the timing and the environment, diba?

I wish you luck! FM is like a generalist, not a specialist. There’s trends in FMH model and NP lead clinics here in the US. You may wanna still pursue your real passion of Peds or OB. But FM is a good general starting point but not as lucrative in the US with tons of Insurance paperworks and admin type work. Just saying ... goodluck.

Go into Psychiatry. The human mind is most interesting. If you go into Family Medicine, by default you'll be dealing with a lot of psychiatric issues such as addiction, depression, schizophrenia not yet diagnosed, etc. I wish you take a "rotating internship" first like what I did.
