How to work with my video lessons? At first watch it and repeat all Russian sentences out loud and record yourself to check your pronunciation. After watching put down all sentences you can remember. Watch the video again in 5-6 hours and correct the mistakes in your sentences if you have any. Do the homework that I usually give at the end of each lesson. Watch the video again in 2 days and make your own examples with the patterns used.

What do you mean. Im dying trying to understand the perfective and imperfective.

Ive been trying to understand this part for idk 30 mins or an hour, watch her video for imperfective and perfective, as well as "be fluent in russian channel" Man, shh woah. I cant really understand it.
She said we cannot use perfective verbs for present actions, because it was completed.
I get that. Imperfective for present tense, the action is not completed/yet.
But why we cannot use приходить here?

Wow thank you, this video was brilliant, beautifully explained. Some confusion still with do and pod, in terms of which to use but that's practice I imagine! The best explanation I've seen so far to just help simplify all the verbs!

Alfia painstakingly explains this difficult area. Thank you! Unfortunately I still find it difficult and so much wish I could find somewhere a complete GRAPHIC representation on the subject incorporating what is perfective/imperfective etc.

Very informative.
Interesting.... I know American Sign Language (ASL), and it inflects verbs for aspect in a similar way. In ASL, one can inflect a verb for "once and done" "repeatedly", or "continuously". And the verb "go" and "drive" in ASL are often inflected (when appropriate) to imply coming back. If you don't inflect, you'll leave the person your talking to wondering if you're going to return!
