    ABOUT DRESSRELIEF
My name is Mariel, and I started getting into fashion in the past few years and am learning so much about it. I'm drawn to fashion as I believe it is an art form that not only allows individuals to express themselves but also creates a history and record of different time periods and generations. I've had a lot of fun learning how to put together outfits and use different styles to tell a story through the way I dress. I started this channel to share what I learn along my fashion journey and hopefully help others learn and find their style as well.
I post videos at least every other week, mostly regarding fashion but may include a few beauty/makeup and lifestyle related videos as well. If you're interested in this content, please give my channel a shot and subscribe!

*Looks around and sees my cane and broken pocket watch that I got from my Grandpa* 🤔
*Realizes all I need is the right clothes and shoes, and I can pull off the look* 😯😁

Finally, there is a name for my lifestyle aspiration. 😍 Although ironically, my actual grandparents never dressed like this 😂

Haha its a very stereotypical depiction of grandparents

We are so far removed from the old way of dressing. The use of the apron was all about practicality...covering your clothes so that they wouldn't get damaged while working.

Hi gorgeous! I’ve been stealing my dads and grandfathers clothing forever and accidentally been dressing in huge oversized, cozy, cardigans, and sweaters, because I didn’t have a lot of money growing up and when I was cold, I would take my dad’s and granddad’s sweaters and since I kind of grew up in the grunge era there was a lot of grandpa core everywhere!!! All the cool grunge, muted Oversized colors that grandpa’s love to wear!! it made me feel close to my grandfather who is not with me anymore. Thank you for such a cool video. This is a very relaxing nice style that can be mixed with so many other aesthetic’s, especially grunge, coastal, vintage, and cottagecore to name a few!! This is spot on!

I love that!! And it really can be mixed with other aesthetics! Love the idea of mixing it with grunge 🥰

tbh aesthetic “core” is a ok guide to build your own style but people become entirely too caught up in a curated style and recreating pinterest that they don’t know any basics, you should make a video on stuff like that, your videos are always super helpful :3

I definitely agree that people get too hung up on fitting an aesthetic, so love that idea! Thanks 🥰

My favorite "grandparent-core" accessory is orthopedic shoes, hahahhahahahhahha, no, I'm not kidding, some of them are actually really nice looking, I'm not joking, I have 2 pairs of orthopedic shoes one pair of sandals and a pair of t-strap flats, there are some hints they are orthopedic, but for the most part you can't tell, and they are SOOOOO comfy, lol, actually here in France where I live, many orthopedic shoes are called "chaussures confort" (comfort shoes, lol)
