Joakim didn’t seem too happy in an interview where he stated that during the recording they asked him multiple times “can you go harder?” but in the end the song turned out great fun. Also Su mentioned in an interview that she really likes the song and especially the choreography. As for high notes, you really need to check out “From Dusk Till Dawn” from the 2021 10 Babymetal Budokan show. As for solo Su songs, there is “No Rain No Rainbow” from the Legend S show that is a true gem. As for the Trilogy of Light, that should surely be on your list, but please check it out in the correct order and don’t miss the Legend M show performance of “Shine” is a true masterpiece.

After the world premiere of this song on Jan. 25, 2020 (I was there !), Su and Moa complained jokingly that every audience did not see the girls dancing but watched gigantic Joakim on the backdrop 😄 . This song is a little bit controversial. Many European fans are claiming the origin of this song. Irish, Russian, Swedish, Polish, Czech and Finnish. From a neutral position as a Japanese, I can say this is Europe-ish 🤔 . (FYI. This song was performed twice in Russia in 2020. Tens of hyped audiences did shoulder-to-shoulder circle pits. And a guy in St. Petersburg danced Cossack style in the center of the friendly pit. Cossack dance is originated from Ukraine. Where are those Russian and Ukrainian fans now ? 😢)
Imagine Su stood right next to Joakim on stage ! It happened at Dark Night Carnival shows when Sabaton opened for them . Joakim and Darth Vader joined them on stage to perform Meta Taro. Su has solo songs and done cover songs my favourite cover is Tamashii No Rufuran only performed once. If you do the Trilogy of Lights , Starlight, Shine and Arkidia you definitely going to hear Su belt it out . @@jakemuller8626 NFTs will have probably died by the time Amuse gets around to actually doing something with them. The NFT market has collapsed over the course of this year. I don't think fans will care too much if Amuse want to put out NFTs as long as there is a new album and live shows. Fans would be mad if there was just NFTs or other online nonsense but no new Babymetal music. At the end of the day, we just want to see them perform again.
@@Icipher353 Not sure if all fans will be mad, I'm certainly won't be mad, is another alternative to get close to your artists, many others did and that gives an option to anyone who wants to get those. The market is down in general, not only NFT, I'm very aware of the current situation, and certainly those won't die at all. Let's just wait and see what's gonna happen.
When I first heard this song it was not my cup of tea. I would frequently skip it on my Playlist, but when I saw the video and saw Su's facial expressions as she was dancing and how much she really was enjoying herself, I couldn't help but get infected with her happiness. Now I don't skip this song at all because I see Su-Metal's happiness in my mind every time I hear Oh Majinai 🙂 One if my favourite BABYMETAL songs which showcases Su-Metal's vocal ability is From Dusk Till Dawn (video from 10 Budokan show) Her singing in FDTD gives me chills. 🤘🦊🤘
I kind of feel similarly. I don't really care for the song in itself and don't really listen to it much, but the live performance and seeing Su look so happy performing it makes it hit differently to the album version.
One of the songs I would like to recommend, that I've seen others recommending too, is 'no rain, no rainbow'. It's a ballad and very moving. Also one of my favorites is 'Akatsuki' which also really shows off the emotion Su can put into her voice.
Wasn't too sure about this song when the album came out but, when I saw them perform it live in 2020, I realised that I did like it after all. I came to that conclusion halfway through the performance of the song when I realised I was jumping up and down while yelling "Nai, nai, nai, nai, nai, nai, nai"! If you're looking for a spectacular solo from Su that showcases her vocals then there are two EPIC performances you haven't seen yet but will love. The Trilogy would be a good next stop for sure. You know them and their history well enough to appreciate it. The 3 songs are sort of reflections on the state of affairs after the band lost guitarist Mikio, and after Yui left in 2018. The tracks are mournful and hopeful, acknowleging their losses and renewing their commitment to move forward. Taken in that context, the Trilogy is really quite beautiful.
Great reaction. It's a song which on the album audio might feel a bit repetitive, but live it's so much fun ! Some facts you might like to know: Sabaton have a festival called Sabaton Open Air in Sweden, they invited Babymetal in 2014 when Babymetal had their first world tour, but Babymetal couldn't fit it in their schedule. So they've known each other and kept in contact for a long time. Sabaton opened in Japan for Babymetal in 2017 around the time of Halloween, lots of fans went wearing cosplay and other costumes (some dressed like tanks, etc.). And when they were there Joakim also recorded some quick vocals. Su-metal was asked for a metal magazine to talk about her favorite album of 2019, she Sabaton Great War: "I tend to listen to this album in the mornings, because Joakim's [Brodén, Sabaton singer] powerful vocals encourage me to push forward and achieve something great every day. But listening to it on the train is dangerous because I get into the groove too much and then I tend to miss the stops I'm supposed to get off at!"
The background melody is actually from an old Finnish folk song called "Ievan Polkka" that was made popular back in the 90's by the Finnish Folk group called Loituma!! Nightwish is Finnish, and Floor is Dutch. But great song. She lulls you to sleep with just normal vocals, then just nails that high note. She has done six or seven solos. White Love, Soul's Refrain, Akatsuki, No Rain No Rainbow, Amore, Rondo of Nightmare. From Dusk to Dawn is not a solo but realy shows another aspect of her voice.

The “triple” is the Trilogy of Light. It’s three songs that carry a theme across them. They are the last three songs on the Metal Galaxy album. Starlight, Shine, and Arkadia. Lots of BM fans like to see them reacted to together or at least in order. But before you get around to that, BM might be dropping a new song on Monday or Tuesday. Maybe. Something is happening, just not exactly sure what it is yet.
Sabaton is indeed Swedish. Nightwish, though, is Finnish. And yes, Floor Jansen is married to Hannes van Dahl, Sabaton's drummer. According to her, she once bragged about yet another award NW got. Hannes apparently congratulated her, and put her back on earth by stating that Sabaton still has more awards :P
As watcher2554 mentioned the song strongly resembles the Finnish folk song Ievan Polkka. To me this is reinforced by that song having been covered by the Japanese Vocaloid Hatsune Miku chan some years prior. And there are elements in common with an Irish Reel and also British Sea Shanty. The dance also seems to have pan-European elements including contradance, though I am not well acquainted with many European folk dance styles. I think Flugelhorn-san said it best when he dubbed it "Europe-ish."

Since you haven't reacted to any of Su's solo songs yet, there are two from the first (self-titled) album; 'Akatsuki' and 'Rondo of Nightmare' and two on the 'Metal Resistance' album; 'Amore' and 'No Rain, No Rainbow'. The song 'Kagerou' was originally performed as a solo during the 2018 World Tour. Sometimes that's listed as "Tattoo', before it was officially titled. Su has also performed a couple of one time only cover songs at early concerts that were solos. They are 'White Love' performed at 'LEGEND D' and 'Tamashii no Rufuran' (Soul's Refrain) performed at 'LEGEND 1997'. In her younger years, when she was at ASH (Actors School Hiroshima) Su performed a lot of solos, as well as duets with her sister Himeka as the group Tween. Her sister later became an original member of the Idol group Nogizaka46.

This is something else. : ) Joakim Brodén definitely has a sense of humor, and it was very cool of him to do this collaboration. Sabaton opened for BABYMETAL in Japan in October 2018 for a few arena concerts. It around that time that Joakim went into a studio in Osaka to record his vocal tracks for 'Oh! MAJINAI'. They kept making him repeat this song, over and over, with more and more intensity. : ) The song came out on the Metal Galaxy album a year later. Su really seems to like their quirky Folk Metal songs. She's mentioned that 'Oh! MAJINAI' is a favorite song on the latest album, and 'Meta Taro' was a big favorite of hers from Metal Resistance. I'm sure they all had a lot of fun learning the choreography.
The accuracy with which Joakim as a Swede pronounces Japanese words like nandemonai (nothing) or kinishinai (don't worry) is amazing. Also Nightwish are from Finland, Sabaton from Sweden. Both part of the Scandinavian Peninsula but on opposite sides.
You'll get to BM's Shanti Shanti Shanti and Da da dance one day! And if ever you ever have your fill of Kpop and Jmetal you might want to try Cpop! Try G.E.M - "Away" or "Loneliness". Nice reaction. Su's favorite from the 3rd album IMO because she gets to do a lot of dancing. That seems to make Su happy. Moa gets to do a lot more singing than I think most folks realize on this song. Overall, Moa did a lot more singing on the 3rd album than before. Most of the chorus on this song is Moa. This let Su do the full-on dance routine. They met Sabaton some years ago. Being friends with Babymetal pays off again. Before this song started in concert, they played a video that warned of the irresistible dance that happens when adults go to the metal galaxy. I got to see it on stage. When they did this the audience did try to dance along with them. Not at the Budokan though. There's no floor space for that.

Oh Majinai is way too underappreciated by fans. It's pure fun. It's what they are all about. You mentioned the Trilogy of Light. The first song, Starlight, is one where Su gets to let it rip vocally.
If you want to hear Su sing really high, you should check out From Dusk Til Dawn, which is the exclusive track on the international version of Metal Resistance in place of Syncopation. Its a great song in its own right, but its nowhere near as good as Syncopation, though it does showcase Su's upper vocal range. You got a bit muddled up with Joakim, Sabaton, Floor, and Nightwish. Joakim is a Swedish/Czech dual citizen (Swedish dad, Czech mum) and Sabaton are a Swedish band. Floor is Dutch, but is the lead vocalist of a Finnish band (Nightwish), though she was previously the vocalist for After Forever who were Dutch band, and is married to Hannes Van Dahl the drummer of Sabaton.
If you want Su's vocals, I suggest: 1) "BABYMETAL - Akatsuki (Unfinished Ver.) _Legend1997" channel "NhatHuyNguyen" For a reaction. I'm not aware of another live performance of this particular version of the song. 2) "BABYMETAL-AKATSUKI-ACOUSTIC DEMO HD" channel "Andy Rethmeier" Similar audio as the video above. The video is live put something completely different. For a reaction, legend 1997 is better. But this is well worth watching and listening to. 3) "Babymetal Su-Metal singing Megitsune acapella" channel "Shawn" To short for a reaction. Just listen to the soundcheck. 4) "BABYMETAL Megitsune Sound Test at Glastonbury 2019" channel "BABYMETAL DESU" Once again, not for a reaction. BABYMETAL soundchecks are better than what other bands do on the stage.

I don't think fans will care too much if Amuse want to put out NFTs as long as there is a new album and live shows. Fans would be mad if there was just NFTs or other online nonsense but no new Babymetal music. At the end of the day, we just want to see them perform again.

When I first heard this song it was not my cup of tea. I would frequently skip it on my Playlist, but when I saw the video and saw Su's facial expressions as she was dancing and how much she really was enjoying herself, I couldn't help but get infected with her happiness.

I kind of feel similarly. I don't really care for the song in itself and don't really listen to it much, but the live performance and seeing Su look so happy performing it makes it hit differently to the album version.

One of the songs I would like to recommend, that I've seen others recommending too, is 'no rain, no rainbow'. It's a ballad and very moving. Also one of my favorites is 'Akatsuki' which also really shows off the emotion Su can put into her voice.

Wasn't too sure about this song when the album came out but, when I saw them perform it live in 2020, I realised that I did like it after all. I came to that conclusion halfway through the performance of the song when I realised I was jumping up and down while yelling "Nai, nai, nai, nai, nai, nai, nai"! If you're looking for a spectacular solo from Su that showcases her vocals then there are two EPIC performances you haven't seen yet but will love. The Trilogy would be a good next stop for sure. You know them and their history well enough to appreciate it. The 3 songs are sort of reflections on the state of affairs after the band lost guitarist Mikio, and after Yui left in 2018. The tracks are mournful and hopeful, acknowleging their losses and renewing their commitment to move forward. Taken in that context, the Trilogy is really quite beautiful.
Great reaction. It's a song which on the album audio might feel a bit repetitive, but live it's so much fun !
Some facts you might like to know:
Sabaton have a festival called Sabaton Open Air in Sweden, they invited Babymetal in 2014 when Babymetal had their first world tour, but Babymetal couldn't fit it in their schedule. So they've known each other and kept in contact for a long time. Sabaton opened in Japan for Babymetal in 2017 around the time of Halloween, lots of fans went wearing cosplay and other costumes (some dressed like tanks, etc.). And when they were there Joakim also recorded some quick vocals.
Su-metal was asked for a metal magazine to talk about her favorite album of 2019, she Sabaton Great War:
"I tend to listen to this album in the mornings, because Joakim's [Brodén, Sabaton singer] powerful vocals encourage me to push forward and achieve something great every day. But listening to it on the train is dangerous because I get into the groove too much and then I tend to miss the stops I'm supposed to get off at!"
It is strange that Su can get on the train and not be noticed by the fans.
The background melody is actually from an old Finnish folk song called "Ievan Polkka" that was made popular back in the 90's by the Finnish Folk group called Loituma!!
Sabaton is a Swedish group and Nightwish is a Finnish Group! Floor Jansen, who is Dutch, is married to the Drummer of Sabaton, Hannes Van Dahl!! It goes round and round!! LoL!!

No Rain No Rainbow, From Dusk Till Dawn, and Trilogy of Lights are the songs you must hear after this.
Nightwish is Finnish, and Floor is Dutch.
But great song. She lulls you to sleep with just normal vocals, then just nails that high note. She has done six or seven solos. White Love, Soul's Refrain, Akatsuki, No Rain No Rainbow, Amore, Rondo of Nightmare. From Dusk to Dawn is not a solo but realy shows another aspect of her voice.
Sabaton is Swedish. Joakim is part Swedish and part , I believe, Czech.

Sabaton is indeed Swedish. Nightwish, though, is Finnish. And yes, Floor Jansen is married to Hannes van Dahl, Sabaton's drummer. According to her, she once bragged about yet another award NW got. Hannes apparently congratulated her, and put her back on earth by stating that Sabaton still has more awards :P

As watcher2554 mentioned the song strongly resembles the Finnish folk song Ievan Polkka. To me this is reinforced by that song having been covered by the Japanese Vocaloid Hatsune Miku chan some years prior. And there are elements in common with an Irish Reel and also British Sea Shanty. The dance also seems to have pan-European elements including contradance, though I am not well acquainted with many European folk dance styles. I think Flugelhorn-san said it best when he dubbed it "Europe-ish."

⚡ To answer your question about solo songs, yes, they exist.
Since you haven't reacted to any of Su's solo songs yet, there are two from the first (self-titled) album; 'Akatsuki' and 'Rondo of Nightmare' and two on the 'Metal Resistance' album; 'Amore' and 'No Rain, No Rainbow'. The song 'Kagerou' was originally performed as a solo during the 2018 World Tour. Sometimes that's listed as "Tattoo', before it was officially titled.
Su has also performed a couple of one time only cover songs at early concerts that were solos.
They are 'White Love' performed at 'LEGEND D' and 'Tamashii no Rufuran' (Soul's Refrain) performed at 'LEGEND 1997'.
In her younger years, when she was at ASH (Actors School Hiroshima) Su performed a lot of solos, as well as duets with her sister Himeka as the group Tween.
Her sister later became an original member of the Idol group Nogizaka46.

Joakim Brodén definitely has a sense of humor, and it was very cool of him to do this collaboration.
Sabaton opened for BABYMETAL in Japan in October 2018 for a few arena concerts.
It around that time that Joakim went into a studio in Osaka to record his vocal tracks for 'Oh! MAJINAI'.
They kept making him repeat this song, over and over, with more and more intensity. : )
The song came out on the Metal Galaxy album a year later.
Su really seems to like their quirky Folk Metal songs.
She's mentioned that 'Oh! MAJINAI' is a favorite song on the latest album, and 'Meta Taro' was a big favorite of hers from Metal Resistance.
I'm sure they all had a lot of fun learning the choreography.
The accuracy with which Joakim as a Swede pronounces Japanese words like nandemonai (nothing) or kinishinai (don't worry) is amazing. Also Nightwish are from Finland, Sabaton from Sweden. Both part of the Scandinavian Peninsula but on opposite sides.

Nice reaction. Su's favorite from the 3rd album IMO because she gets to do a lot of dancing. That seems to make Su happy. Moa gets to do a lot more singing than I think most folks realize on this song. Overall, Moa did a lot more singing on the 3rd album than before. Most of the chorus on this song is Moa. This let Su do the full-on dance routine. They met Sabaton some years ago. Being friends with Babymetal pays off again. Before this song started in concert, they played a video that warned of the irresistible dance that happens when adults go to the metal galaxy. I got to see it on stage. When they did this the audience did try to dance along with them. Not at the Budokan though. There's no floor space for that.

Oh Majinai is way too underappreciated by fans. It's pure fun. It's what they are all about. You mentioned the Trilogy of Light. The first song, Starlight, is one where Su gets to let it rip vocally.

If you want to hear Su sing really high, you should check out From Dusk Til Dawn, which is the exclusive track on the international version of Metal Resistance in place of Syncopation. Its a great song in its own right, but its nowhere near as good as Syncopation, though it does showcase Su's upper vocal range.
You got a bit muddled up with Joakim, Sabaton, Floor, and Nightwish. Joakim is a Swedish/Czech dual citizen (Swedish dad, Czech mum) and Sabaton are a Swedish band. Floor is Dutch, but is the lead vocalist of a Finnish band (Nightwish), though she was previously the vocalist for After Forever who were Dutch band, and is married to Hannes Van Dahl the drummer of Sabaton.
