They've performed some of these songs for over 10yrs, and they win new fans each and every time. No they never get old, because they put maximum effort in each and every one of their performances for their fans. Yeah, this is one of the better compilation vids... Some fans don't like reactors reacting to compilation vids because some poorly made ones are so out of synch that people think Babymetal and the band either lipsynch or are backtracked.... But this one is well done, it even showcases the different vocals of Su from her different ages.... I personally like compilation vids, because it gives people a taste of how bonkers a Babymetal concert is, from the crowd participation, the set designs and the craziness that goes on. Yeah, going to a Babymetal concert is a bucketlist thing for a lot of people. 🤘🦊🤘

@@markusjohansson6245 Well, reactors react to what they find/are given....And we all know how nice Amuse is to people using their vids... And unfortunately Babymetal Reactor Resource, for some strange reason, isn't a place a lot of people would recommend videos from.

There's a lot of bad compilation videos around, but especially KuroKitsunesama's work is always spot on, and I can't recommend that channel's videos enough. What I love about this one here (apart from showing off some of their craziest stage designs) is Yuimetal's 'koe zenzen KIKARAHEN!' shout, which is Kansai dialect for "I can't hear ya!"

Babymetal is just pure happiness. It is truly inclusive. Everyone is welcome to the fun. People need so badly to come together and just have some damn fun, without all the usual bullshit bickering. It's a little moment in life where things are the way they ought to be. I think that's part of why Babymetal cause such strong emotions.

No. You're not crazy. That feeling you have I believe is admiration. Everything they do is on point and perfect, the musicians, production, vocalists, choreo, venues, they are a true performance band and inho the best. Once you go deeper into the foxhole, the admiration just goes deeper and deeper. They are humble and very appreciative of every single one of their fans. The next song you should listen to is The One that was written for the fans, and performed in english. Great reaction.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is a compilation from shows in 2013 through 2020. Year they are all in Japan, but the crowd's mass headbanging occurs wherever BM goes on this planet and whenever Su-Metal wants people to do so with her death stare 😄. Of course it did as early as in 2014 O2 Brixton. Recently, it likewise did in 2019 US tour (20 gigs in 18 states) and 2020 European tour (17 gigs in 11 countries). You also heard the crows shout in Japanese at 06:07 in your video. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!" (addressed to crybabies in the metal concert). The shout in Japanese occurrrs whenever Su-Metal turns her mic towards audiences in any country.
Last year 2021, BM played this song in all of 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN Concerts with Su's matured voice and Moa's more agitating moves. I witnessed it 9 times at the venue and was enchanted to headbang 9 times ヽ(^o^)丿

I think for me, as a music teacher especially, seeing three young women so talented and so dedicated to their craft absolutely crushing their performances with such charisma and energy inspires such pride in me. And while they might have initially gotten big in the west because of their novelty, they have held up their own as some of the best performers around in a genre dominated by men. They command the stage, take their craft seriously, and know what the hell they’re doing. I frequently get emotional watching their live videos. They’re inspiring.
Side note, in my professional opinion, Su is one of the most consistent and healthy sounding vocalists I’ve heard in the metal/ rock genres. She has incredible technique, sings in an appropriate range at an appropriate volume, and can do all of this whilst dancing and emoting so beautifully. My recommendation is The live version of Brand New Day. It’s a song off of their latest album Metal Galaxy, and it always gets me in my feels. Su has an INCREDIBLE vocal in it, and the instrumentation is just glorious. Definitely less heavy, but great use of synth with some beautiful lyrics.

    • @jeff110373
      @jeff110373 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Personally along WITH Su's singing its her crowd control. Never seen anything like it. Watch the Download Performance 2016 to see a Japanese band during the day have a massive crowd(THAT usually isn't that big until the BIG HEADLINE BANDS ARE ON) and are all so invested and in the palm of Su's hand. It's so impressive.

One of the better compilation videos.
The footage was from 10 different concerts, with audio from the 'BIG FOX FESTIVAL'.
'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!' was one of their earliest hits.
I was thrilled when they brought it back for the 2019 tour, and I finally got to hear it live at the LA Forum.
Even though the song is about a fifteen year old girl attending her first heavy concert, Su was only fourteen when the studio version was recorded.

Not in the sense that others react badly, it's just that there is something in you that catches, charges with positive and does not let go. The way you're surprised during reactions, the way you laugh, it's so contagious and uplifting. And now I'm sitting with the subtitles on and watching you wish a good day to people, wherever they are. I am very glad that Babymetal reminds you of why you decided to do reactions to music and various bands! I was lucky to see them at Brixton Academy and then at Hammersmith in February 2020 just before the Pandemic. As you are aware, these venues can't compete with The Tokyo Dome and the Budokan but the atmosphere was electric - I have never been so mesmerised by a band in my entire life and that includes as someone who attended Queen live at Wembley Stadium in 1986! They made a DVD filmed at Wembley (which I bought on TH-cam) you might want to look at that. It is incredibly expensive to take the full BM show on the road. You might enjoy seeing the Wembly Arena show. There is a blu-ray. You wouldn't be able to react to almost anything off of that without a copyright block though. Even their small stage shows are pretty incredible. Plenty of fancam videos out there showing just how crazy the audiences are all over the world. They don't really need all that tech and stage wizardry to be great but it is sure fun to watch. Came for KDA and ended up watching Babymetal as well. My daughters first concert was Babymetal when she was 6! We’ve seen them once more just before COVID.
The audience participation is amazing, especially at one particular moment in headbanger.
I’m hoping to take her to Japan to see them at some point.
The road-trip my daughter and I went on to see Babymetal in 2019 was one of the best experiences of my life.
I don’t remember much of the first concert as I sacrficed my back and shoulders so she could sit on my shoulders to get a better view.
Spectacular band, spectacular memories, your reactions aren’t bad too :)

Even a casual non-metal listener has to appreciate the sheer amount of talent that BABYMETAL has. But for me personally, I have NEVER seen the amount of fan interaction for any other band. A BABYMETAL show is a full-body experience where, for the time that they're on stage, everybody is the building is connected and one. THIS is the power of music; THIS is what music is supposed to be like.

I would probably go to Road of Resistance as the next one, it stays along the same sound as what you've already heard, But if you want to stray into their more experimental stuff then BxMxC or Papaya would be good choices. Not only are they unique but also diverse in their sounds. They truly do create an unexplainable feeling when watching them live. Watching An Unhelpful Guide to Babymetal gives you even a greater appreciation for how this group came to be and compounds the feeling of enjoyment you get from watching them preform.

If you want a Japanese band with crazy presentation then check out La Ciel by Malice Mizer when Gackt was the lead singer. The band did disband back near 2007 so it is an older band, their music is classed as baroque metal meets symphonic metal with the classic older Visual Kei style of live shows. So I'd recommend the live version. Also most Japanese concerts have a very interactive crowd, it's a Japanese thing to have every concert who's audience play along with the band.

Awsome reaction. Each songs from BabyMetal is unique. It's been 2 years since I discovered this band and it never gets old for me. I've never spent so much money on this band. The 4 albums , 6 blue-rays shows... One thing i cannot wait is their return with a new album and finally get to see them Live. My recommandation for the next Babymetal reaction is : Death Legend 1997(Complete).
Am not sure if you ready for this one ;) For info, 1997 is the year of birth of Suzuka, the main singer.

The concert they gave at the Sonisphere in 2014 in England led to what Babymetal is today in the West. They appeared before 60,000 of the world's toughest metalheads with their Kawaii Metal proposal (something that an estimated 95% of them had never heard of) without any certainty as to whether they would come out "well" from this concert.
The song that I recommend you see from this concert is "Ijime Dame Zetai" at Sonisphere 2014 (th-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/w-d-xo.html). You can see what the result was and the faces of the girls at the end of the song, especially Su says it all. It is probably the most important concert for the western fan.

Every time I hear a new song I'm mind blown. Never fails. I will say with songs like Headbanger (which is one of my favorites) I am no longer 'mind blown' but that's only because that 'mind blown'-ness has just changed to giddy excitement. Literally I hear the start of a song I love by them which is 99% of them and I start squealing like a fangirl, which I am. 😂
I'm sure someone has already requested this, and I'm not really requesting, but I'm excited that one day you might react to 'Catch Me If You Can' it's another of my favorites by them... I don't know who I'm trying to kid, almost all of their songs are my favorite, but it's one that I will listen to purposely more than others. 😂😂😂 Seriously though, I only got into these girls two or three years ago and I've yet to hear a song that I am not absolutely thrilled by. Oh!!!! And Megitsune!!! It's such a good song!!!
Also, this one is kinda special to me because it's a song about a young girl going to her first metal show, and how it's a moment she'll never forget, I'm paraphrasing from a translation because well, I know no Japanese at all, and I don't wanna tell you things wrong, like the details, but that's always stuck with me, even as a super fun sounding song because I was once a young girl going to her first metal show. Obviously I'm sure men can relate too, as going to a metal show is a very freeing feeling.
Just a suggestion, but if you're curious there's a man on youtube called Andrew Hartley, that's also his channel name, who did some very well thought out explanation videos for babymetal songs, not to react to, as those would be very long, but as a follow up if you want to know more about some of the songs you've heard, he hasn't done all of their songs of course, as that would be an insane amount of work, but he explains it very well as I believe he speaks Japanese and lived in Japan for a while, so he knows about their culture and things like that. Again, it's just a suggestion, but I know for me it helped me understand the band and the girls as a whole a lot better. Especially his explanations for Headbanger and Megitsune.
Well... Sorry for the essay 😅... I only meant to write the first two sentences but I got excited, thank you for the reaction! Love seeing people find songs and bands that I love. ^^

    "Does it ever get old?"
I am a late comer to the Babymetal Galaxy. I discovered them a little over a year ago and can honestly say that I have listened to them every day since. There may have been a day or two here and there where I didn't but I can't remember them. They STILL make me smile every time. Every. Single. Time. I never thought a band could do that to me anymore. I'm happy to be proven wrong.
There are many many fans that have been around much longer than I have and they are still as excited. You'll see them in every Babymetal comment section.
I keep wondering where I should rate Babymetal in my own personal favorite list. I keep thinking they should be top five and then I think about my top five and I think there is NO WAY they deserve to be there. Then I listen to them again and I think they are absolutely one the best to ever do it.
I'm still torn on where they exactly land on the 'best' list. But, boy are they good!!
I love watching your reactions. Your joy comes through and is fun to watch. Thanks for this.
    Kitsune up!
    See you!

I was lucky to see them live in Chicago pre-pandemic when their Metal Galaxy album had just come out. They are just as incredible live as you see in the video. We had a much much smaller crowd in the Aragon but they gave 100% the same energy. When you're at one of their concerts, you just lose it--that energy is infectious. Most of their official live videos are pro-shot, so you'll get these cuts and edits of different concerts, but the audio seems to be from one particular performance. But you made a great point that regardless of where they play, it's always the best performance. I suggest anything from their first album, but give Metal Galaxy a try; they take influence from music all around the world and give their own unique metal a different flavor. Try Shanti Shanti Shanti or Starlight for a different kind of Babymetal. Great video, keep it up!

I was at that concert at Aragon Ballroom, Avatar opened, which they put on an awesome show too! Anyway, even though Aragon is a smaller venue, the magic was still there, hard to explain. Im a 6' 4" 57 year old biker/metal head, and I was jumping up and down and screaming like a little schoolgirl when they walked on the stage lol. Even though it wasn't an arena type of concert, it was very uplifting and incredible! And Aragon is an awesome place to begin with!

Good reaction, my friend. It is a feeling that all kitsunes share with you. And I think, at least in my case, we won't be able to give you an answer as to why.
It may be the tremendous energy that they transmit with their music.
It may be the joy with what they do (I have never seen them stop smiling while doing it)
    Maybe they're just adorable
It's easier to say... eh, I give you my soul to try to understand why
I can only tell you that I have never been able to see them live, because they have not played in Spain, but I see the reactions every day. One day I remember that one day a reactor thanked us for seeing a song with him that we have surely seen many times and wondered what motivated us... I replied (and I still feel it) that when I see your face, the emotion, we remember what we felt the first time we saw it. In a way to relive the emotion of finding something that marked us.

Has anyone checked out the lyrics? They're innocent and fun, with some uplifting, encouraging words thrown in.
My wife is the only one in our house that doesn't get it...lol. Yeah, I've seen this many times, but I was tearing up, too! Only the live stuff does that to me, though. I rock out to the studio tracks, but I think all of that joy that is recirculating from the band to the crowd in a loop is so strong that we feel it, too.

What a great reaction. I can assure you, you are not alone, Babymetal manages to hit your feelings with every song (ok maybe not every, but every second for sure). I don’t really know how to describe it but I personally feel proud having seen them growing up and performing on so many different places in front of so many different crowds and manages to amaze them (and me) every single time. The amount of dedication, professionalism, sweat and effort they put into their shows is second to none. I personally don’t like compilation videos, but this was one of the better ones. You still should watch the Legend 1997 performance of that song that recorded a day after Su’s 16th birthday. On another note, yes, the Japanase crowds are on a completely different level but that doesn’t take anything away from any other crowd Babymetal is playing for. Also, the stages for their special shows are always insane well thought out (and expensive lol) and that does apply not only to the ones for their Japanese shows. The stage at Wembley was also pretty cool :). Checke out “Ijime Dame Zettai” live at Sonisphere 2014 next. I am looking forward to your next one!
