Ik denk dat iedereen zo zijn favoriet heeft. Ik rijd nu de K1600GTL en dit is bij far de fijnste motor die ik heb gehad (yamaha GTS1000 Honda GW1500, Triumph Rocket 3 Touring). Wat een super tourmachine die met een draai aan de gashendel zijn 6 cylinders in no time laat veranderen in een super sport. Comfortabel, maar met ook een bijzonder sportief tintje. Een 6 cylinder van BMW was en is een bijzondere machine.
With my type of riding, and considering the environment I'm in, I guess the RT is my 1st choice. I guess the GT will not be on the 2nd spot... Interesting. I do not know what I would want on the 2nd spot. I did like my GS a lot, but it didn't have the keyless cases. The new GS has, but I don't think i like the new GS... I'll think about what my 2nd spot would be...
What's your current bike? I've had a VF750F, 28 years ago. A ZZR600 23 years ago, a R1150R 20 years ago and a R1200GS 2y ago. Always liked a full fairing touring bike. Impressed with its capabilities
Looks like you are using something other than the NAV 6, with obviously some of type of adapter. Can you share the set up please as I’m having constant issues with my NAV 6 and need to go in a different direction on my 2015 RT. TY
That other model BMW was a GT! Not an GTL (some slightly differences in the topcase). But I love the GT abot the RT (still a bike with hanging titties though).
I do have a 2015 RT fully eq. Very pleased with it but at motorway over 120-130km it starts to vibrate unpleasent. I wait to next year se what it will be, maybe 1300-1400RT? Automatic?
@@FlatTwinTherapy It´s from the engine feels trough the saddle and pegs. I think its normal but I don´t like it. Read somewhere it could be from bike to bike.
Hmm. I don't think I recognize it. But a 1300.. I hope they do not make em smaller, like the GS.. I don't like that design. I was surprised the GT felt smaller up front. I like the 'massive' front of the RT.
I notice it. More so than any GS boxer. The extra fairing and cast handle bars might amplify the sensation. Heavier bar end weights and more break in km help, but it will never be Gold Wing smooth.
Apeldoorn is best ver als je werkzaam bent in Utrecht. Ik mag niks zeggen want ik breng mijn k1600gt naar simako in Elst en woon in Amsterdam. Niks leuker dan een flinke cruise
Ik werk in Utrecht, maar woon vlakbij Gouda. Nu de garantieperiode is afgelopen, denk ik dat ik naar motor Houtrust of Alphen aan den Rijn ga. Ook prima service, maar dichterbij.
Radio is useless unless you want to have a tailgate party in the garage. You can't hear it above 60kph. Nav system is equally useless, worst system on a bike today. How do I know this, I have a Grand America.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I do not miss the radio. Regarding the sat nav: I prefer using my phone: always up to date, traffic and speed cam info and you can use any app you want. I like Waze for commuting and MyRouteApp for touring/planning
Never rode a 6 cylinder bike. I must admit on wind up the engine sounded like an F16 fighter jet! Seriously cool. 👍🏻

yeah man, I went from a GS 1200LC to a K1600GT oh that engine plus she easily did over 50 miles to the gallon, still miss her

Great video. I’ve ridden both but I prefer my RT..much lighter and less if a big boat to ride. Although the K1600 would be my second choice

What was the K1600 fuel consuption avg on that ride? It feels like that inline 6 has to be thirsty! Amazing bike anyway. Nice vid!
Actually I did not register that. I think it was reasonable though. I wasn't pushing it.

Currently on a 2021 Ducati Hypermotard 959.
Had a ‘82 CB900 and a ‘99 ZX9.

I'm using a cheap phone mount specifically for the RT, from China. It charges wirelessly though. Really happy with it.

Vibrate? Wind turbulence? Vibrations is the handle bars? Tyres?
